  1. Trac hitting targets inside 50 .
  2. Suns look good buts Cats gave up on the flight up. Also easing into the year. Calling for Trac as an AA in the first half of the 0th round of the season is a bit premature.
  3. Ah ok so they included some other random stats to create an artificial pecking order that suits their narrative
  4. Not a single thank you? What a ****wit!
  5. Its a good wrap sheet for a has-been. Funny doesnt talk about any of his kicking attributes - goal kicking; field kicking etc likely in the bottom quartile of all players. ALso surprised Clarry wasnt in that list, he must have been awfully close before falling off the cliff 2 years ago
  6. Always was player execution...however they'd be so heavily drilled to play a certain way for so many years, that when a pressure moment arised, they went back to their instinctive style.
  7. Then i wont be paying. Anyone that pays 3 rounders for potential just needs to look at Harley Reid. He is one more average season away before being declared overrated. I havent seen a game yet where Humphries as outright dominated. He is good and solid, but if we are looking to cough up 2-3 first rounders i know i'd be picking up the phone to Butters manager and seeing if we can deal with Port given he is a RFA.
  8. There is nothing at the moment to suggest Humphries is worth anything more than a mid to late first rounder. Essentially giving back GCS '26 pick they used for Trac. Now obviously that can change, but 2-3 rounders are for established stars still in their prime like Butters, Curnow & Trac (as much as it pains me to type it). GCS will ask for 2 no doubt, but the go home factor, his form etc will make it more likely that its a 1st rounder and possibly a 2nd rounder to make it palatable.
  9. We will do what Melbourne does. We will beat Lions, Freo and the Suns and lose to Blues, Bombers and Saints.
  10. Its much like the broader media landscape these days. Completely lacking in journalistic integrity. Its sole aim is about the click/view.
  11. It doesn't, it is just another year where there is an MFC hit piece at season start, despite us playing great footy. We have moved off half the team, trouble makers (bar one), prima donna's etc. But it appears there is always off-field stuff that dominate headlines around our club. Its not like every other club is squeaky clean or doesn't have a problem child - it is just ours seems to make the headlines.
  12. There would be a start to an AFL season without a MFC pile on. We do ourselves no favours either. Everything this year was tracking smoothly for once, then this. Do we have any more skeletons in the closest? Seriously over all the negativity.
  13. I wonder if Judd has worked out he is still a lock down defender
  14. Why did he even land that way… it was so unusual.
  15. The intent and the game plan are a good change. To expect much from this year still is a bit of stretch at this stage. I think we play this way the whole year and if we can finish 9-14 with a neutral percentage is a win for mine. 2027 is really when we should be competing for the 8.
  16. He missed the whole pre season with his foot. Nobody doing good with that prep especially a 2nd year player
  17. Windsor looking sublime
  18. Our transition game is going to be one of heart attack intensity whoe year. Just need to get used to it. Great when it works
  19. They were, but their talent is out of this world. 2x Top 2 draft picks (Ashcroft bro's - Thanks AFL) both maturing McCluggage - an elite ball user, top 10 in the comp easily. A gem in Logan, now supported by O. Allan Andrews still going strong Then the cherries on top in Z. Bailey, Wilmot, Lohman, Kiddy, Charlie, Fletcher Oh and the 2x Brownlow in Lachie Neale. They are stacked like the Lions of early 2000's.
  20. If the Lions can nail a 3 peat , twice in 25 years. The AFL have completely screwed up. And it is looking likely. I can’t really see any other team pushing them.
  21. He was always slow, powerful but slow. He is also looking like a very lazy footballer. Hardly see him running unless GCS have the ball and he doesn’t get to the right spots. Most of his possessions are from the contest. What is obvious this year is the commentators are going to keep saying it was a good move, Trac was worth the first rounders blah blah.
  22. Trac has done absolutely nothing again. The media will come for him if he keeps this up.
  23. I suspect when Danger retires, they'll be void of leadership and unable to keep Smith from blowing the place up. Cameron and Stewart are on the wrong side of 30 and will start to slow down in impact. I dont think they have all the cattle to back it up without pulling some big trades over the coming years, which is totally possible. But its hard to replace A-grade AFL future hall of famers and possibly legends in Dangerfield.
  24. There is enough evidence there to scrap it all already. The AFL just have to grow a pair and admit it when they stuff up. Everyone can already see this rule is farcical.
  25. I dont see how he gets to either of them to be honest unless he takes a massive pay cut to have a shot at success. With Geelong, they are petering on the edge of collapse. Doggies is a much more enticing opportunity, but do they have the premiership in them. Their backline is horrendous and still has not been addressed. They will also be limited in cap space as they went all out on English, Bont and Naughton. Will have to prepare an offer for Darcy, Richards and a few others over the coming years. Not sure how much JUH freed up, but the reality is that, that coin will goto Darcy, who can easily command 1.5M right now. Butters only real options are to stay and hope that Port can turn things around (i think they are going to bottom out a bit more) or look to a Vic club that is on the up and has cap space. There are not many of those (NO CAP: Saints, Hawks, Pies, Doggies, Geelong. CAP: North, Dees, Blues, Tigers, Bombers). Question is do we have enough 'potential' to attract him over... I think we do, but its unfortunately a bit raw and premature. i think 2028-29 is when we are likely to be where Hawks are now and that would be a hard sell if im Butters.
