  1. You wouldn’t have known it was cold and damp such was their gaiety. When they came to the boundary for a team huddle or a water break they were actually singing. And whenever they had to wait for, say, the field to be set up, instead of just standing there, they’d spontaneously start dancing. Endless energy and enthusiasm. They’re an absolute joy to watch.
  2. Hendo turned up late to Tuesday’s flush run because he was “getting a jab” in the groin.
  3. Someone should tell Sharpie 😂 He was very confident about the fact that he qualifies and he’s not even close
  4. Had a chat with our #33 Lily Johnson. She’s loving being a Demon and loves living in Melbourne. Her partner feels the same way 😉
  5. She didn’t mention it and I didn’t ask about it. She trained separately though. She’s her usual awesome bubbly self.
  6. I gave Gabs a big hug from you 💕
  7. Great news… NO SOCCER BALLS!!!
  8. @binman Kolt, Sharpie and Jai qualify for Casey finals. If Howes plays next week (vs Collingwood) he won’t qualify. This is according to Sharpie and confirmed by Chappy, except Chappy wasn’t sure about Howes.
  9. Tahls ☹️ She’s in really good spirits. She said she’s happy to be only missing half the season, not the whole season. Now there’s a glass half-full person if ever I saw one.
  10. Men’s and women’s teams both out on the park together. Training separately but geez it’s good to see them all out there. The boys are all in trakkies and puffas, the girls are in shorts and sleeveless guernseys. Just sayin’ 😉
  11. Geez it’s great seeing Collingwood get beaten
  12. Watching this season opener and at halftime they showed Darcy Moore and Patrick Cripps handing out mini footballs to fans in the crowd. Isn’t that good of them! I’m sure Max would do the same if the men’s and women’s weren’t scheduled on the same friggin’ day. 🤬
  13. 👏 Spot on.
  14. By “the truth” I’m referring to how he doesn’t appear to be (as Binman said), someone who was blindsided. The truth is he was. He’s just good at appearing ok. He’s not ok. Not yet. He’s not angry. He’s shocked and really disappointed. How do I know? Because I’ve been told by everyone with whom I spoke on the first session back at Gosch’s post the sacking. And a couple of days before he was sacked he and I spoke at length about his vision. Trust me, he wasn’t a coach who knew he was in the crosshairs. I know there’ll be people on here who’ll laugh at this but the fact is Goody and I were friends. Not so hard to believe… he’s a mere human being, just like everyone else.
  15. He was led to believe he’d be there to see out the H&A this year, moreover that he’d be coaching us next year. So people will say he’s naïve and maybe he is, but the fact remains… this came out of the blue, this was unexpected, not just by Goody but by everyone: players, assistant coaches, training staff, medical staff, property staff… everyone. And this is because Goody still had the unwavering belief that we’d be back in contention real soon. He truly believed this.
  16. Yep he’s very adept at appearing like someone who wasn’t blindsided. If I didn’t know the truth, he probably would’ve fooled me as well
  17. We’ve got a key forward, only he’s yet to debut. His name’s LUKER KENTFIELD 😁
  18. 100% blindsided. They all were.
  19. … because he has to! He was sacked with no heads up… zero warning. Please don’t let the commendable way he’s handling himself publicly lead you to believe that he’s not hurt and bitterly disappointed, because he is. He’s “lining himself up for his next job” because he has to, NOT because he wants to.
  20. FWIW, last Saturday at the captain’s run Judd said that his decision on his future has nothing to do with who our head coach is/was. He said nothing has changed with the sacking of Goody, he’s always planned (and still plans) on staying. Then on Tuesday he said “just some loose ends to tie up, but yeah, I’m not leaving.” Incidentally, I don’t ask him about his decision, he volunteers the info. Ok, so I may’ve given him the odd death threat or two, but that was in the past. I don’t even need to give him the sideways stink-eye..: he knows. 😁
  21. C. Definitely C!!!
  22. Luker’s already in the forward line… for Casey, on Sunday. Unfortunately we don’t have two Lukers.
  23. Is this because Casey’s season doesn’t matter?
  24. Jai won’t know himself! 😅
  25. It’s hard to see in the photo but I remember it’s an Albury guernsey
