  1. Every session at Casey is closed. I can’t see why they’d be any different at Waverley. 🤷‍♀️ Although the captain’s runs and the flush runs which are currently at Gosch’s are always open and I’m sure that’s because they’re the not so serious sessions.
  2. A slightly lost looking old bloke huh? It might be easier for you to find me 😆 Just ask literally anyone in the cheer squad to point out the crazy chook lady 😅 Oh and one is never too old for face paint! Seeya tomorrow! PS: I’ll be the one in red and blue 😝 (Cheer squad joke - never not funny)
  3. Tay wasn’t there this morning
  4. Sadly I’m back to square one, so to speak. I have to abide by the rules set by the new coach/president/CEO and if they don’t see fit to allow me in like the former coach etc. did then that’s how it has to be. I’d be prepared travel to Waverley but only if open sessions are held, it’s pointless otherwise.
  5. Apparently the Hawks are very close to moving out of Waverley - in time for us to start using it in December.
  6. Well that aligns with something I was told recently. Apparently as of the 1st of December (which is when the senior players return for preseason) *Gosch’s will no longer be used for training and Waverley will be the venue instead. This isn’t official yet but that’s purported to be the plan. This arrangement will run for approximately two years which is when they expect Caulfield to be completed. Again, not official. Just something I was told, then this morning I was told similar by a different person. If the training at Waverley news is true, Kev and I will no longer be able to furnish training reports. It’s not just the distance to travel, it’s the fact that the new regime is looking to have closed sessions only, like at Casey. I believe currently Waverley is open to spectators but that’s nothing some temporary fencing can’t solve. I guess we’ll have to wait and see 🤷‍♀️
  7. My girl LJ has been in sneakers this whole session. Naturally I was curious (read worried) but she assured me it’s nothing; she stubbed her toe this morning and we all know how that feels 😩
  8. Liv and GG rehabbing. GG is jogging without issue. Josh* the physio is really pleased with how she’s looking and he’s letting her know with praise and encouragement. Goldy has a bandage over her left eye. She said it’s to protect her brow bone, the wound is fully healed. You wouldn’t know she’d been hit hard enough to split the skin, only three days ago. She does NOT hold back, even at training. Heater is training with the main group. She doesn’t have strapping or a guard on her finger. So good to see her unhampered. GG said she’s hoping to be available next week but of course that’s subject to a test next week. But she’s confident she’ll be right.
  9. Vent: the website said (and still says) training commences at 9:45am today. I got here at 9:30 only to be told training starts at 10:30. How hard is it to update this one simple amendment? Anyways, at least they got the venue right. We’re back at Gosch’s and I’m no expert but I just walked on the oval and it looks great and feels amazing underfoot. This is the closest I’ll ever get to this side of the big sticks so right now in my head I’m lining up for a shot after the siren for a win. I missed 😭
  10. They’ll boo Judd not because he went back home for a heap of money but because he lied to everyone, including the club. I guess they see him as worse than Dogga, whose lie wasn’t as overt, ie. he maintained he was undecided when all the while he knew he was leaving. Everything he did screamed I’m leaving but he never uttered those words. It’s still a lie though. I won’t boo Judd. (We have only one person we’re allowed to boo and that’s Maynard), I wouldn’t boo Judd anyways. Like most on here I’m angry with him, but not because he lied. I’m angry because I feel like Lily is the one who’ll end up being screwed over. Let’s call it anticipatory anger 🙃
  11. Your first W match! How exciting!!! You’ll love it, guaranteed. Watching our team live is so good. Try to get there a little early to avail yourself of the freebies and partner giveaways and face-painting, etc. There’s this crazy passionate cheer squad member who’d love to meet you. She’ll be either on BBQ duties (till b!ttchh extraordinaire) or on a flogger. Right now she’s having a hard time coming to terms with all the changes at our club so another friendly face will be most welcome.
  12. Best news ever, especially right now. A much-needed shot in the arm. Bring on Saturday!
  13. Ok you say we’re incompetent from the top down. That doesn’t answer nor even address my question. Again, my question is: why, if he’s useless at his job, hasn’t Tim Lamb been sacked?
  14. Wrong. There are people I don’t back but you wouldn’t know that because I don’t express it. Not on here anyways. Therefore you’re assuming I back everyone.
  15. I’m referring to all the calls to sack Tim Lamb. Nothing more. So why hasn’t he been moved on?
  16. This is true, all of it is true. But that doesn’t help ease the heartbreak. I appreciate the respectful way in which you word it though, unlike the heartless and nasty ways others choose their words. It says a lot about the fans on here when our one non-Demons fan shows the most sensitivity and care.
  17. It makes me laugh when I read the approximately 1,000,000,000 posts calling for Tim to be sacked. That is, it would make me laugh if it didn’t annoy the cr@pp outta me. Folks need to ask themselves why on earth the Club have supported and continue to support him (including the new powers that be) when he’s doing such a “shocking,” “horrendous,” incompetent” etc. job? Is it for want/lack of a more capable replacement? Apparently 95% of posters on here would do a way better job at it, surely that means there’s no shortage of potential replacements of the real type, you know, the ones who are actually qualified.
  18. So now probably isn’t a good time to tell you that Goldy collided hard with Ryleigh at training yesterday and ended up with a split on her brow-bone which was “glued” but which saw her unable to attend a function last night. Ryleigh was sporting a gash and bruise right in the middle of her forehead but said it’s not as bad as it looks. We now await the injury report 🤞🏽
  19. They’re all very sad days for different reasons. And there’s plenty to choose from. I have a friend who says for her there will never be a day sadder than Boxing Day 2004 💔
  20. Easily the saddest day, DZ. I want 7:30pm to hurry up and get here, just be done with it. I also don’t want 7:30pm to get here because that means they’ll both be gone. Just an awful day.
  21. All good. I apologise. Contentious issue.
  22. No, he’s in Melbourne. A mutual friend saw him this morning near AIA. They stopped and chatted, Clarrie was on his way to the gym (AAMI Park).
  23. The fourth acronym is TREET. Do better Andy!
