  1. Reece was working with Jeffo, kicking the ball for Jeffo to mark. Sometimes a high ball marked overhead, sometimes lower for a chest mark. Jeffo seemed fine. He took every mark without issue. He said he no longer has any pain or even a niggle. Before the session I thought it was just wishful thinking on his part that he may be available for this weekend but having watched him train, I’m thinking he might be right. I guess I shouldn’t have called him a delusional [censored]-er 😂 although he thought it was funny.
  2. Main session is at Casey on Thursday. They fly out on Friday morning and there’ll be a captain’s run on Friday arvo: Friday, April 11 ⏰ 3:00pm - 4:15pm ✍️ Signatures following the session 📍 West Adelaide Football Club, Hisense Stadium, 57 Milner Rd, Richmond SA 5033 🏃‍♂️ Session type: Pre-Game Captain's Run
  3. A little sombre today, but that might’ve been because as they were coming across to the oval huge dark clouds appeared and it felt like the temperature had plummeted. The boys thoroughly enjoyed a… (defibs on the ready?)… soccer match. Yep, a raucous and fun time was had with the round ball.
  4. I did tell Tracc we love him. He clearly thought I said I love you because he answered I love you too. 😅 I also told Goody we love him. Now calm down you lot, you can think a coach needs to be replaced and still love him if for nothing other than he’s our premiership coach.
  5. Kolt definitely back this weekend X has to pass a fitness test on Thursday but is confident for a return this weekend Jeffo also confident for this weekend but that means jack coz he said the same thing last week. Koz not here. He’s not injured or ill, he’s got a family thing.
  6. Spare a thought for our resident Blues supporter @No. 31 whose team is languishing winless at the wrong end of the ladder and whose second team is down there with them 😭 #IfIdon’tLaughI’llCry This morning I told my son if anyone needs me today I can be found moping on the couch. He said “I’m running outta clean jocks n socks, any chance you could mope in the laundry?” I’d put him up for adoption in a heartbeat only I can’t imagine there’d be any takers 😑
  7. Watching AJ and wondering why he’s not playing in the seniors.
  8. No sch!tt captain obvious
  9. Cheer squad OGs have told me of how in the dark days if we lost by less than two goals they’d sing the song. That’s so sad. Anyways that won’t happen tonight, only if it’s under a goal will we sing the song. 😂
  10. If we lose, no matter the margin, there’ll be the obligatory knee-jerk new threads. The only question is how many of these there’ll be. I’m guessing the bigger the loss the more threads.
  11. I feel for Koz. We expect his usual freakish feats but at the same time we expect him to rein in his enthusiasm. It’s a fine line he treads.
  12. Gates open at 3:20pm. The Casey game starts at 3:50pm. It would be great for the Casey boys to see and hear support, so anyone who can get to Mordor early enough to catch even just part of the match, please do this. Besides supporting the Casey players, being there for two matches also justifies the criminally high price of a ticket. Idk about y’all but I had to fork out $65 for the privilege of sitting in the away cheer squad bay. God how I hate that club.
  13. Maybe DON’T head down the highway 😅
  14. We’ll turn things around, starting tonight. I’m not gonna go into the whys and wherefores because I have nfi why and nfi wherefore. 😁 The mighty Dees by SpargiPants (9 pts) ❤️💙
  15. Charlie’s 100th game tomorrow. “100 Sparkling Games” is what’s on the banner alongside the graphic. Incidentally, for those attending the match tomorrow night, be prepared for Geelong indulging in a prematch celebration of 100 years of Ford sponsorship. There’ll be an 8-car motorcade slowly circling the boundary conveying past-players, among other vomitrocious happenings. Might be a good time to duck out to the bar or the loo. We’ve been warned to not get in the way of their celebrations, like that ground isn’t already hostile enough. I thought I couldn’t possibly hate going there any more than I already did, but here we are. Also, the Casey match is the curtain-raiser, so if you can get there early please do. ❤️💙
  16. So the notes aren’t as detailed as they usually are and that’s because she ended up talking to Salo’s parents for quite some time. For those who don’t know, Mr and Mrs Salo are absolutely lovely people. They’re held in the highest esteem by the other players’ parents, so it’s no surprise that Salo is the locker room favourite. Anyways… -Leb jogging but limping. 44 8 4 - rehab HL19 in red Sharp in grey In red….. 5 42 14 1 11 13 2 7 11 3 9 19 17 32 37 35 20 24 31 Ed wearing #9 jumper
  17. Training at Casey today. I’m not there but my buddy will send me notes soon enough. Apologies in advance @Roost it far but it may not be by the 4pm deadline. A couple of things she told me in a phone call which I had to cut short, though… The Bison in a red vest with the firsts. Charles SpargiPants running laps, not training with the others. Luker also running at pace and looking fitter and healthier than a week ago. Judd ‘Knuckle’ McVee running well and looking very happy. TC rucking well. Training hard. Leb… … that’s when I had to hang up. But I’m sure she’ll include him in her notes.
  18. Exactly. Sam McClure. Enough said.
  19. I reckon they’ll let us know closer to the time. Maybe if/when anyone hears anything about it they can pull up this thread and post. I certainly will if I hear of any plans. Hopefully you’re not unwell this year.
  20. Which was a good decision. I can see him going straight into the firsts.
  21. This is what our club doctor said yesterday. But I find it interesting that on Sunday he was on crutches with his foot heavily bandaged, mainly around his big toe, but yesterday there was no bandaging, no crutches, with just a little square patch, like a bandaid, on the back of his heel. He was walking around fine.
  22. Nah way too far, but I have a buddy who does. She’ll likely send me notes later 👍🏽 edit: not training at Casey today it seems. Well, thus far. They may be planning an arvo session. It’s not listed on the website so who knows?
  23. Not disputing any of that. I was simply asking Werridee if he was serious when he said, “Lose this and it’s season over.”
  24. Ah but you didn’t say that. Once again, you said, “Lose this and it’s season over.”
  25. I never said we were. More to the point: you think our season is over if we lose this Saturday? You seriously think we’re done… for the entire season… and it’s still the month of March? Just to remind you of what you said four hours ago: “Lose this and it’s season over.” Your words. Do you stand by this?
