I investigated further. X had a mishap at training last week and complained of a sore foot. Scans etc. showed no damage, everything is fine, and he trained as usual on Friday. This morning his foot was sore again (same foot) so they decided to put him in rehab until the soreness is completely gone. He likely won’t be running on Wednesday either.

X said he’s all good and gave a thumbs up. I shall investigate further. 😁

Poor Ricky M. Not only did he have gastro last week but he also had the flu. This is why Roo came back to training earlier than him. He’s well over it now though

Langers not out of concussion protocols yet. Max said he won’t be until January which is technically true since this Wednesday is the last session but Max thought saying January was hilarious. Gotta admire someone who heartily laughs at his own ‘jokes’ 🤡

My first mission today is to give Jack Steele a birthday cupcake which I bought this morning because I accidentally ate his Demon Army cupcake on Saturday. He’d forgotten to come pick it up and I had no choice but to eat it 🤭

I miss him too, and you’re right: he was loyal to end. But what’s done is done and there’s no going back. He seems to be in a good headspace now and hopefully he’s left his troubles behind.

To be fair, PF’s not the only one who’s ever vowed (in anger) to quit DL only to continue posting. I’ve seen it happen and I haven’t even been on here for as long as most folks. Imho PF is harmless and there’s no shortage of folks on here who aren’t.

Clarrie was at Marty Hore’s wedding yesterday. A close friend of mine was also there. She told me Clarrie is looking great and he told her he’s currently really happy and he’s settling well in Sydney. He has no animosity towards the MFC. Clarrie is enjoying reuniting with Tobes (Bedford) and they spend a fair bit of time together. He mentioned a few other teammates who he has become close to. No mention of Jake Stringer.

The players who were absent yesterday were at Marty Hore’s wedding in Millewa, a town in Northwestern Vic. Also at Marty’s wedding were Harmesy, Dom Tyson and Clarrie among other former Demons.

The only opportunity to watch them train on a Saturday is when we have a Sunday game meaning the captain’s run is on the Saturday. On Saturdays they do hill-running and gym. BTW, you should’ve made yourself known in our tent today. I would’ve asked you to make a best 23 sausages side 😝 PS they indeed were the VFLW players training on Gosch’s very early this morning.

Great turnout today. The club is delighted with how many people showed up, especially since rain and even possible thunderstorms were predicted. So many kids decked out in their regalia… a wonderful sight. We sold out of almost everything. That means more giant heads on the horizon 🥳 A huge thank you to the Demonlanders who attended and supported the DA by buying our wares. I was relieved of my duties as till-b!ttch for a spell in order to find Steeley to give him a cupcake for his birthday (today he turned 30). I hadda battle through the multitude of weekenders to get to him but it was worth it, he was so grateful. Luker came to see me but only because we have this “tradition” at sausage sizzles where I smuggle a cupcake out to him. Hence, he came to see the cupcake, not me 😁 But the best thing about today on a personal level is that Shane brought his partner Taylor over to meet me and… he let me hold their 12-week-old baby girl, Mia 🥹 All in all It was a great success.

I trust y’all are currently on your way to Gosch’s right now, or will be leaving home shortly. Right? There’s a fun time to be had for kidlets and adults alike! Come and meet the new players. They’re all great guys. Not a d’head to be seen. Although, if d’heads are your thang, I believe Collingwood is training over the other side of AAMI 🤭 ❤️💙 SEEYA THERE! ❤️💙

I told Reece this morning that I no longer want his job. I told him running 10kms in 120 minutes on gameday was a stretch as it was, but this running around the boundary caper is a dealbreaker. I told him I didn’t sign up for that. He said “Neither did I” and we both laughed. My laugh was real. His wasn’t because he was about to start running with Shane. 😝

Wheels said it will likely be before they start their usual Saturday morning running. The club hasn’t told us because we’ll be there for the entire time and I guess we don’t need to know.

Harvey is listed as 190cm. I’m very pleased to announce that he's very pleased that he’s now 192cm, but hasn’t been measured in a while so he’s hoping he’s grown even more. I don’t know what he calls “in a while” but it’s probably a week 😁 These tall guys are never tall enough in their own eyes.

It’s not a training session at all. The players will come out, sign things and get photos taken then they will leave. I was told they’ll be there for only half an hour or so. On Saturdays they do hill-running, a lot of hill-running. Nothing will change tomorrow except they’ll be taking a bit of time out for the meet & greet. But come along anyways! Your daughter will have a blast.

He’s likely meeting with the club right now to re-negotiate his contract, ie. asking for a pay rise. 😁

Culls in particular flattened him. Trelly asked me if I’d seen this happen. I said I had and what the hell was he thinking??? He said he tried to take them on and it came undone. He said that’s gonna happen now and again but it won’t stop him from trying. We’ve got ourselves a good one.

Matty Whelan’s response to the suggestion of Koz being captain at some point, verbatim… (Laughs) “No chance. Not a chance. That’s never gonna happen… ever.” Matty said he wouldn’t be surprised if Chin was one day given the captaincy. He said Chin would have to be the most dedicated player we have, and that he’s fully committed and invested. I said Chin is always so serious, even when having a lighthearted convo. Matty said that’s in his nature, even when they’re mucking around, play-fighting etc. Chin looks dead serious but everyone is used to it now. Edit: forgot to mention… earlier I asked Koz what would happen should he one day be offered the captaincy. I can’t be sure but I think I saw a blood vessel burst in his eye 😁 JK. He actually said he doesn’t think that would happen but it’d be cool if they offered it to him. I said Oh so you’d accept it? He said nah but it’d be good to know they rate me <3
