  1. Thinking of all those little Dees fans with #36 on their jumpers, not least of all @dazzledavey36 ’s little fellah whose dad doesn’t have to tell him news that would break his little heart ā™„ļøšŸ’™ THANK YOU KOZZIE! This means so much to us, in so many ways.
  2. I only know this because I ran into one of the girls who works there and told her I’d be bringing in two jumpers for *Pauline Fritsch and she said she’d make sure they had two 3s and two 1s in stock. *seems I’m an habitual name dropper, huh Ethan @Ethan Tremblay
  3. The Demon Shop sells jumper numbers and they have an industrial press (a household iron isn’t hot enough). They charge $13 per numeral. Best to call them before heading in because they don’t have every number in stock at all times.
  4. Yeah there’s a captain’s run at Adelaide Oval on Saturday. It’s an open session. We haven’t been told what time it starts but I can post it here when we find out. It’s usually in the early afternoon.
  5. I’ve had so many people saying I saw you on the big sceeen! Even Goody said it!
  6. I told him I know he’s already signed. He smiled and said ā€œHave I?ā€ Then he laughed. I told him it’s mean to keep everyone waiting. He said, ā€œNah, it’s all good.ā€
  7. Apart from a raucous soccer match, not much to report since I spent almost the entire session (all 20 minutes of it) with the most delightful gaggle of 14yo schoolgirls. Their energy was electric. Their teacher, Mr Hawkins, said they were hoping to get a selfie with Max. I said leave it to me. They ended up getting selfies with Max, Clarrie, Tracc and Kozzie and several others. Were they excited? You betcha! The mood was upbeat and positive. No Kev or Wallbanger so likely no decent training report. Soz @Roost it far Actually, not Soz. The school kids had such an amazing effect on everyone. They were standing a fair way from the tent so I went and brought them over and everyone was smiling, such was their infectious enthusiasm. The players, the coaches, other spectators, everyone.
  8. He already is experiencing homesickness at times and has been for a while. Bouts of homesickness are something many people live with. The Club has been successful in accommodating Kozzie’s need to regularly visit family (shoutout to Matty Whelan working quietly in the background).
  9. Your little boy will be fine, as will the many, many little kids with #36 on their jumpers ā™„ļøšŸ’™

Now, now, WWSW. We can’t let facts get in the way of a Petty pile-on.

Delete this thread please, mods. The OP has nothing to do with the Hall of Fame inductees
  12. You belong here more than many other posters, Layz šŸ’•
  13. When the news breaks that he’s signed, it will be wonderful for many reasons, one of which is that this thread will fall off a cliff. Never liked the title let alone most of the content.
  14. Goal of the year nomination- VOTE FOR KOZZIE Mark of the year nomination- VOTE FOR MELKY Voting closes at 3pm on Thursday Just vote!
  15. Sure, this incident didn’t look great, but I think it’s not what everyone thinks it is. I reckon Maysie came to say something nice to Max along the lines of it’s ok mate, and Max was so bitter and angry with himself that he told Maysie along the lines of wtf? It’s not ok, I [censored] up. I believe this because when Max made that blunder he was visibly absolutely filthy on himself. In fact, before Maysie even approached Max, Disco was already trying to comfort Max, but his gesture wasn’t verbal, an arm around the shoulder is less ā€˜triggering.’ Also, the push wasn’t aggressive. Had it been an aggressive push Maysie would’ve shown in his body language some form of anger/retaliation or at the very least, offence. Max walked straight off the ground and straight through the rooms and probably straight to the only place with no cameras… the toilets. Because that’s the best place to be when you’re crying. Because yes, Max looked like someone who was trying hard not to burst into tears. It’s something to consider as a possibility. I firmly believe it’s the accurate summation.
  16. On a train going to Fed. Square. Lucky socks are on šŸ‘šŸ½ Running late. Called a Didi (poor man’s Uber) to take me to the train station and he never showed up! Had to walk 20 mins to the station in the rain. As I’m boarding the train he messages me with ā€œI’m at your house, I’m In a bit of a hurry. Where are you?ā€ 😳 I messaged back ā€œAre you [censored] serious???ā€ Now his phone’s turned off. Dude won’t know what hit him when he turns it back on… hope he enjoys the messages I sent… he’s gonna wish I had a coffee first šŸ˜‚ But this hasn’t dampened my enthusiasm at all! It’s dampened my lucky socks, but not my enthusiasm! Let’s do this, Dees!!! šŸ‘ŠšŸ¼
  17. At the first bounce the scoreboard says 0.0.00 for both teams. There’s every chance we’ll win this. Confidence and belief! GO YOU MIGHTY DEES! GIVE ā€˜EM HELL!!! ā™„ļø šŸ’™ā™„ļøšŸ’™ā™„ļøšŸ’™ā™„ļøšŸ’™
  18. This has all the hallmarks of a memorable triumph which will go down in history. I don’t even know why I said that. It’s late and I have to be at Fed Square at 8am. ā€˜Night all 🄱
  19. Absolutely true. Kozzie will stay with us for multiple reasons but a huge part of it is his incredibly close bond with Goody.
  20. Yeah occasionally you’ll see a player darting over to the bushes when nature calls because the nearest bathroom is all the way over at AAMI. Last Tuesday the boys were on the oval early and there were no spectators at the time. As I rounded the tent I looked up from my phone and there’s young X taking a leak by the tree where I usually stand. It wasn’t awkward for either of us since he had his back to me but it’s rough that they don’t even have a basic necessity such as that.

It was North’s choice. They sold the home game for this year and the next two. Probably purely because of the $ they stand to make.
  22. That they were in the shelter says they were invitees who don’t regularly attend because regulars know that regardless of the weather, the shelter is for players and staff only. Oh, and me (special dispensation as a result of attrition) šŸ˜…
  23. So, just a run-of-the-mill day for you then.
  24. I’m thinking Culley as sub and Sharpie to start (?)
