  1. Spot on. Jai seems to feel “at home” with us. I suspect the WCE didn’t make him feel as valued as we do. Our faith in him has had the knock-on effect of a confidence boost which has translated to his form on the field which is only getting better and better.
  2. Jai has changed since he first came to us. The first time we spoke I got the impression he didn’t really rate himself. I don’t know if I’d say it’s arrogance but he’s definitely more confident and self-assured now. He’s quite a serious person but at the same time he’s pretty chill. He is rather reserved by nature but he has been more talkative of late and even on occasion a little cheeky 😊
  3. Would that be the horse you rode in on? Coz you know what you both can go and do, right?
  4. I worry more for the person who accepts the advances having just been weighed 😅
  5. Yes, and the trolls targeting players was only one reason. Another worrying factor that affected the change was that some juniors were so reluctant to have their weight disclosed they were choosing to abandon playing altogether. The club is definitely across it. Sometimes a player is weighed before and after a training session if for example they’ve been unwell with gastro. The players are weighed more frequently than they are measured.
  6. Answers in a PM, ‘Banger! This ain’t your first rodeo!!!
  7. Samesies, except in my case it’s the coach and ALL of the players.
  8. CLUE? 🙏 Got the general connection bit. It’s the specificity that’s the issue 😅
  9. I think you’re right. I posted those first measurements on the day he said it. I hear so many heights I get them mixed up. I know for sure it’s a 2cm difference from morning to night.
  10. It’s a combination of the two. The club prefers to keep prying eyes out of range because Casey is where they practice game plans and positional changes etc. But it’s also Ground Management. They don’t employ people on those days to clean toilets or any cleaning in general. They also don’t hire security personnel either which they do on scheduled open training (family days) and match days.
  11. Brisbane’s training session was all over the news too. But the focus was on one player in particular… the wholesome and upstanding dual Brownlow medallist, dual premiership player, multiple club B&F winner, club captain and all-round Mr Nice Guy.
  12. 🥳 🏆 🥳 🏆 🥳 🏆 🥳 🏆 🥳 🏆 🎾 POLAND WON THE UNITED CUP! 🎾 🥳 🏆 🥳 🏆 🥳 🏆 🥳 🏆 🥳🏆 Having come runner-up the last two years, they finally went all the way, and I got to watch it with Poles! It’s funny how you don’t have to know the language but you know exactly what they’re saying 😅 🇵🇱 Gratulacje Polska! 🇵🇱
  13. Luker says he’s 194cm when he gets up in the morning and 192cm when he goes to bed at night. This is a scientific fact according to him. Bison thinks he’s 192cm but he’s not sure. They actually aren’t measured often and when they are measured, they’re not necessarily told their height. They’re also not told their weight.
  14. They stopped listing players’ weight in the W comp when several players were the victims of fat-shaming. Sarah Perkins was one such player. She was relentlessly bagged for being ‘overweight’ by not just online trolls but the media as well. A group of W players on behalf of the comp campaigned to not have weight listed on player profiles. It followed that the same was applied in the men’s.
  15. It may have been published in a local newspaper. This is one that my local Leader newspaper published…
  16. I hope she’s not your cousin, it would be strange
  17. Training is at Casey on Mondays and Fridays, and at Gosch’s on Wednesdays.
  18. A DA buddy of mine went to Casey yesterday. She couldn’t see much therefore not much to report but she said they trained with full-on intensity despite the stifling heat. She said something about Trelly that was awesome to hear… And this is someone who (unlike me) rarely drops the F-bomb so that’s saying something! 😁 The first sentence is referring to TC who yep, you got it, trained the flippin’ house down.
  19. That’s how it usually goes but last year was different. They trained one day a week at Gosch’s during the AO
  20. They’re at Gosch’s next Wednesday. I’m pretty sure the schedule will be what it usually is, ie. Mondays and Fridays at Casey and Wednesdays at Gosch’s. But of course, that’s not confirmed yet.
  21. It still hurts to see him in those colours. It will always hurt to see him in any colours other than red and blue 😕
  22. At Casey it’s always closed sessions. That may change this year with the new coaches and admin, etc. but I doubt it very much. The only time there’s an open session at Casey is when it’s an organised Family Day.
  23. Did you not read the first line of the post? The sex life of MEN 😁
  24. The decision to start earlier (or later) for any reason isn’t made until the morning of that day so no, we’re not informed of such. It’s a case of finding out when you get there.
  25. The sex life of men… In their 20s — tri-weekly In their 50s — try weekly In their 80s — try weakly 😉
