If anyone is wondering who the new boy is out there, a boy who looks a lot like Kingy, that’s Oscar King, son of Steven. He’s here to “have a kick with the boys.” He’s 16yo and already a tall boy.

Training at Gosch’s starts at 9:30am today. I’ll only be there for half an hour or so. Why is that, I don’t hear you ask 🙃 Well, that’d be because at 10:15 I’ll be going with other DA members to the ‘G to film a Fox promo 🥳 But wait, there’s more! Afterwards, we’re filming a separate ad which will see us in a boat cruising down the Yarra. When we spot Kozzie running along the banks we will all go nuts, waving scarves and flags etc. In another scene Steven King is waiting for the lift, the doors open and the lift is full of Dees fans. Sounds cringe, right? That’s because it is 😅 but these ads usually are. Anyways, look out for me when it airs; I’ll be the one in red & blue. (Yep, that cheer squad joke will NEVER get old.) Not to take credit (except totally taking credit) but on Wednesday I told Trent our videographer to keep up the varied choice of music because folks are appreciating it. I said something “alternative/Indie” would be nice. He chose Tame Impala which is fine by me and when I suggested classical music he chose Für Elise which is also fine… baby steps. I’ll have him using Sigur Rós in no time 🤣 Y’all are very welcome 🤗

The start time is listed as 10am but this season they have been starting at 9:00 or 9:30am. It’s not because of the weather, the sessions still run ‘til midday and even later for some players.

My beep test is endless. My life is one big, long beep test. I’ve had to rein it in for the last month while my little grandy was here. It’s been tough but now that they’ve left Aus I’m free to say whatever the [censored] I wanna say, whenever the [censored] I wanna say it and to whom the [censored] I wanna say it. Got a [censored]-tonne of blasphemy to catch up on. 😂

If the player wearing #27 was very tall, quite thin and blonde it might’ve been Xavier, one of the two young guys who’ve been invited to train with us for a fortnight.

Big Moose Heath is #27 so unless someone else was wearing his number, that’d be him.

Training is at Casey on Mondays and Fridays, and at Gosch’s on Wednesdays. Maybe you can take your daughter on Wednesday. 🙂

The beeps would be literally off the charts. 😅 Speaking of F-bombs, it’s not often you’ll hear Kingy drop one in front of spectators but apparently he was so pleased with the results of the beep tests that he was overheard saying “[censored] yeah!”

Seems 9am is the new 10am.

CJ was wearing a snug-fitting cap, the same fit as a swimming cap. He said there’s no need to ever wonder about him changing his hair coz it ain’t gonna happen. But then, four years ago Big Fish Verrall told me he’d never get rid of his 70s shag ‘do then a couple of weeks later lopped the whole lot off and never grew it back again 😭 BEFORE 👍🏽 AFTER 👎🏼

TC was there for a bit today but didn’t train. He’s in a neck-brace as a result of a knock to his head last week at Casey which resulted in neck pain. There’s no serious damage to his neck, the neck-brace is precautionary.

Bison said he hasn’t been measured in a while but he thinks he may’ve grown another cm or two. He’s gonna ask to be measured and he’ll let me know next week. Also planning on a measuring request is Kalani, who is also gonna let me know next week* He’s listed as 199cm but when he was last measured which was a while ago, he was 201cm. He feels he’s definitely taller than that now though. *Kalani said he’ll have a report on my desk at 9am on Monday 😅 and all I could think about was @Roost it far and how much he wishes us track-watchers were so proficient 🤣

Reggie certainly was there today. Trained as normal.

Maxy has a broken pinky finger, sustained during training on Monday. Sharpie is looking at 8 - 10 weeks on the sidelines. He tore his hammy just after Xmas.
