  1. I hear ya DOF. The inaugural Gather Round, I went by car, only stopped once, got to Adelaide, parked the car, arrived just before the first bounce, sat in the heavy, nonstop rain watching us lose to đŸ€źEssendonđŸ€ź, got back in the car and came straight back to Melbourne. But
I wasn’t glum because I was with DA buddies and we don’t do glum. 😉

No! Not every thread! This is a NON-MFC thread. What part of NON do folks not understand? There’s every single other thread to moan and groan about our club, why can’t this thread be exempt? I mean, your comment had nothing to do with the Pies/Swans match. The point of it was to highlight our dearth of goals kicked so far this season. Fine, point it out, but you could do so in our post-match or our pre-match thread, or any number of other threads. I just think it sucks that the one thread that some of us find is a welcome distraction from the sad plight of our club is being hijacked. I guess I’ll just have to add it to my list of threads to avoid, as unfair as that is.

Ugh it’s gonna be one of those nights. I’m running out of threads that are bearable. 👋
  4. The poster you’re calling a troll is the complete opposite of that and if you knew the meaning of the word you’d know it’s not applicable. However, the poster to whom you replied (with your post above) seems to delight in our team’s terrible situation. The lower we drop, the more exuberant he becomes. So if you’re gonna bag anyone, how about choosing someone who deserves it.
  5. You’re not a Melbourne supporter. A true Melbourne supporter would never, ever celebrate a loss, no matter the reason.

  7.
I’ll cry. But I cry every time we lose, so nothing new there. I’d still turn up to the flush run except this Tuesday it’s at Casey and I’m not sure my passport’s in order 😜 Incidentally, why oh why is the flush run at Casey next week???? It’s a rare open training session there because it’s another in this series of Family Days, but school holidays or not, they’ll get fewer attendees than they would had it been scheduled for Gosch’s. The intra-club match held at Casey in February was on a Friday afternoon at around school knock-off time. The vendors were told to expect 2,500 people. There was fewer than 200 people there. I wish the MFC would give up trying to stage successful fan events at that desolate sch!tt-hole. But back to the original question
 I’ll cry.
  8. Apt username, I’ll give you that.

Noah Leo Fritsch was born on Sunday the 6th of April at about midday. He was due on the 9th but decided to make his grand entrance to the world three days early. At birth he weighed 3.3 kg (7lb, 3oz) and was 49.5cm (19.4in) long. Mum and little bundle of joy both doing very well, in fact, so well that despite booking the hospital room for five days (ending today) Nat went home the day after giving birth. Little Noah came close to having a living great-great grandmother because Bayley’s great grandmother passed away only a year or so ago. Longevity is a thing on Pauline’s side of the family.

You know, you can make your point without resorting to insulting name-calling. As someone over the age of five, you know that, right?
  11. Before our Geelong match Jeffo told me he would be available for selection. He didn’t say he’s a chance, he said he’s a cert. I asked Jacob (our club doctor) if this was so. Jacob said no, it’s not. I told Jacob he may wanna have a little chat with Jeffo coz it appears delusion has well n truly set in 😅 Jacob said it’s understandable that Jeffo thinks he’ll be right because he’s not far off being available. He then went on to explain that this injury is entirely different to Clarrie’s injury in terms of healing. He said the metal plate in Jeffo’s hand is in a position that allows a range of ability without exacerbating the injury. That’s me simplifying a bunch of stuff he said but he also added they won’t be rushing Jeffo back in and that while it may seem a premature return when he does return, it will be the right time. At the time, he said possibly vs Essendon, if not, vs Freo.

We can hope to win Tattslotto this weekend, too. That’s probs more likely to happen. 😅
  13. Worse than Collingwood imo. Collingwood supporters are repugnant but they’re repugnant no matter where they play. Port supporters away from their home are like any other supporter base, but when they’re at home and there’s an abundance of them they become next level despicable.
  14. That was incredible. But it wasn’t two weeks. It wasn’t even a week. It was two matches five days apart. When the fixture was revealed remember how angry we all were? And rightly so. But we pulled off two wins against the odds. Both wins were fantastic but the win over Port was extra special. It was even worth the drive-by bottle of water to the head that I copped while waiting at the traffic lights after the match. #Port=NextLevelSoreLosers
  15. That’s the chance we take. We like living dangerously 😁

Are you planning on doing this all night? Need to know if I should put you on ignore. Actually, [censored] it, I’ll put you on ignore anyways and hope no one quotes you so I don’t have to see your annoying comments

Andy takes the time to find a pic for a poster. When he posts what he thinks is the desired pic he’s told “No not the one i [sic] saw.” Where’s the “thank you for trying to find the right one”??! it’s common courtesy ffs

    Again, you said
“The fact that we've had so many of our best players with a foot out the door over the past few years should be enough to get Goodwin sacked on its own” âŹ†ïž This is to what I referred. Nothing else, just this.
  21. I’m not sure it’s a permanent thing. I think it depends on what day of the week our game is scheduled and if interstate travel is involved, as well as when the shared facilities at AAMI are available, and they work around these factors. I can find out for sure though đŸ‘đŸœ

A lot of grey area involved when you’re talking about players wanting/attempting to leave a club. Nothing is proven. Who do you believe? Looking in from the outside, It’s largely speculation and guesswork. Players who’ve actually left a club
well, that’s an absolute. Is there a substantial difference? When you’re discussing the sacking of a coach, hell yeah there’s a difference, a huge difference. Just to remind you of what you said
“The fact that we've had so many of our best players with a foot out the door over the past few years should be enough to get Goodwin sacked on its own”

“Players with a foot out the door” Interesting metric. I’d sooner go with something solid like “Players with both feet out the door, ie. gone”

Yeah, that’s Will’s nickname. He told me this at the Season Launch. He said it’s because he’s in the pool at every opportunity.
