  1. Thanks, Dub. Very reassuring. Now can I come to you any and every time Iā€™m freaking out about something? šŸ˜‚ For starters, I broke a fingernail this morning. Itā€™s a blue one (half are blue, the other half redā€¦ yes, Iā€™m a nuffie), please tell me everything will be ok. Lie to me if you have to! šŸ˜ƒ PS I lied. Six nails are blue, four are red coz more blue than red. PPS footy canā€™t start soon enough šŸ˜‚
  2. ā€œBribery by cakeā€ thatā€™s the lawyer in you šŸ˜‚ if ever Iā€™m up on a murder charge for *taking out, say for example, an Essendon supporter, I want you to defend me in court. * donā€™t worryā€¦ it would definitely be by accident
  3. Oh, we can complain. Ken Oaf we can complain. šŸ˜
  4. And Melkyā€™s hamstring???? Whatā€™s going on? This is like a bad dream
  5. Why would anyone feel silly? In the absence of a reason people are gonna talk about possible reasons. Itā€™s called being a human.
  6. The poor bugger šŸ˜„ I hope heā€™s back to full health soon. Heā€™s a lovely kid. Thanks for the info.
  7. As well as Sam Landsberger (RIP).
  8. I dunno, I reckon youā€™d be pushing to find a bigger Port nuffie than Cornes.
  9. 100% we can. Fans are the only ones hanging onto the negatives, and fair enough, too. But as far as the club, players and coaches go, itā€™s dead and buried. Ok so the same stirrings might occur at the end of this season but thatā€™s not gonna change the current mood, aspirations, belief, hunger, whatever else, of this season.
  10. It was lovely seeing you there and not just because you brought delish cake youā€™d made šŸ˜… I wish you still lived in Melb.
  11. Last season we didnā€™t get the chance to be excited even before round one. Playing Sydney in Sydney was a terrible way to start the season. I wasnā€™t surprised we lost. Not to mention having to fork out for flights and accommodation, and our cheer squad had to sit in the corner pocket because Sydney members sit behind the away goals. Plus the majority of Dees supporters couldnā€™t attend. And it made me so angry that the AFL scheduled it this way to hype up the Grundy vs Gawn thing. A loss in the first game played is huge. Thank goodness weā€™re not part of the ridiculous Opening Round this year.
  12. I understand your reasoning but footy every day of the week would suck. I think we need at least four footy-free days between rounds because in that time you can process the round thatā€™s just finished and preview the next round.
  13. Bring back the šŸ¤” emoji. STAT!
  14. Yes, but thereā€™s change afoot. I recently met our new media guy, Matt. Heā€™s aware of the importance of connecting with fans via the socials and itā€™s already showing.
  15. Iā€™m glad Iā€™m not the only one who thought this was silly. Heā€™s not the brightest, is he. He usually only rears his greedy head when playersā€™ pay is in question so Iā€™m surprised heā€™s brought up an issue other than that. And donā€™t get me started on his grammar and punctuation; his first tweet contains only 21 words, yet thereā€™s no less than five errors. Iā€™m too scared to read his follow-up tweet šŸ˜… Replacing him as the AFLPA head is long overdue.
  16. Not a review of Shano, but giving credit where itā€™s dueā€¦ Thereā€™s a group of regular track-watchers who meet up at Goschā€™s where we watch from our usual spot at the boundary fence. Yesterday, without warning, one of our group fainted. (Incidentally, If youā€™re gonna faint in public thereā€™s not many better places than at training: Jacob, the Club doctor, was absolutely wonderful.) Anyways, just after it happened Shane ran to the boundary. He asked me about it and he was genuinely concerned. He said he hopes sheā€™s ok and that itā€™s lucky Jacob was there. Then about half an hour later he came over again to get an update and was pleased to hear she was gonna be fine. This isnā€™t a testament to his footy prowess but it certainly is to his character. 17. For mine, whatā€™s as telling as the things you mention above is the fact that Luker wasnā€™t in the 2025 official team photo which was taken yesterday. He was the only one absent. Itā€™s undeniable that thatā€™s huge. IN MY HUMBLE FLIPPINā€™ OPINION.
  18. ā€¦. Or someone else will.
  19. Iā€™ll see your last two minutes of Blues vs Saints and raise you the last two minutes of Blues vs Deesā€¦ Round 22, 2022 Nothing to do with Harves but does that matter? Itā€™s a thing of beauty and we donā€™t need a reason to watch it ā¤ļøšŸ’™
  20. Gussy was the resident creator of nicknames. Yet another of the many ways in which we miss him šŸ˜„
  21. i sincerely hope not. He deserves his own nickname, not one thatā€™s based on a comparison to another player. Besides, heā€™ll be a 10x better player than Reid. šŸ˜
  22. I donā€™t disagree. I was having a little dig at Demonland which is something thatā€™s done very often, and with no malice.
  23. Unfortunately, not gonna happen. It seems once a nickname is bestowed, itā€™s set in stone. Harves will just have to suffice.
  24. Any of the above could happen and your guess is as good as mine or anyone elseā€™s. Iā€™m just happy that Luker isnā€™t a high profile player because the media would go to town on this and we all know how that usually pans out šŸ™„ In either of your suggested scenarios, he needs support and care and youā€™d like to think heā€™s receiving this.
  25. Letā€™s not speculate??? Demonland is built on speculation! šŸ˜‚
