Fun fact: you know the expression about shifting/moving the goalposts? Well, it’s a real thing. Last night the goalposts weren’t in the usual place. They’d been moved about 12-18 inches to one side. Kinda amusing watching regulars who sit in the same seat every week discombobulated for the first quarter, ‘til they got used to it 😅

Their fans also weren’t as loud as usual, the ones who turned up anyways. Prematch on the big screen was their announcement that they now have 112,000 members. 60,000 attended (incl. our supporters). Where the hell were the rest of their people?

He came down to our bay at one point and sought me out. He wanted to meet Ryan, our awesome chant-leader who was in the same row. Ryan was busy waving a giant flag (we had just kicked a goal so there was bedlam with giant everythings waving about) so he said, “Please tell Ryan I said hello” and he turned to leave. I said, “Paul! Come in and sit with us!” The poor thing looked horrified 🤣

I apologise, sincerely. I knee-jerked and I shouldn’t have. You are a positive poster and I appreciate your optimism and confidence for next year.

Wowwwww. What is wrong with some people?! We lost by 6 points, not 60. This was the team that was gonna thrash us, remember? The team that would put us to the sword, REMEMBER?!! I’m so, so proud of our boys tonight. Ok so we didn’t win but we stayed with them the entire time. We made them bloody earn that win. 4th vs 14th but you wouldn’t know it. A six-point loss in front of (probs) 50,000 feral loudmouths with Nathan Williamson officiating… I call that a more than satisfactory result. PS I cbf finding the post in order to quote it but to the poster who said This team just looooves letting us down. They always find a way… are you [censored] serious? What an asinine thing to say. Do you genuinely believe they go out there and strive to lose because they enjoy letting supporters down?!! Coz if you do, YOU’RE the one with serious issues, not our players. It was a 6pt loss. SIX POINTS!

Tons of Storm supporters. I’m getting a lot of smiles from them too. Either they barrack for Melbourne, or they just hate Collingwood.

[censored] Collingwood supporters must breed like rabbits. Their numbers seem to grow on a weekly basis. I’m at Flinders right now and the place is swarming with them and there’s still three hours to go. There are little infestations of them everywhere. Take a break, exterminators. No amount of pesticide would remedy this plague. Conversely, I’ve yet to see a single Dees fan. But I’ve been approached by numerous people with words of support which is nice (except for the ones who pitied me, no one likes being pitied). All good though, these feral [censored]-ers can try but they won’t bring me down. GO DEES!!!

#Tautology 🤣 Win, lose or draw their supporters are boss-level feral. One of our members was spat on by a teenage girl following their thumping win over us in round 24 last year. She was with adults (presumably her parents) who did nothing about it. The rotten apple doesn’t fall far from the rotten tree.

Awesome to have Goldy back in the side! But the poster’s comment “concerning” had nothing to do with the W team selections and everything to do with Lily Johnson being dropped which is “concerning” purely because she’s Judd’s partner. 🙄
