if we landed a big fish like Prestia.....

Is that why we are targeting Melksham?

Maybe it's also the same people that reckon Jon Butcher would be a good addition to the side..turn it up.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-09-14/still-no-deal-for-dog-grant We could do worse.. Could be a handy utility down back and direct replacement for Howe possibly? Wouldn't have to cough anything up as he is an UFA. Thoughts?

Frawley is one of those blokes that had an All Australian year when he was young and hungry to make a name for himself.. He stopped working hard and just went along with the flow on the back of that achievement thinking he had already made a career for himself. Unfortunately for James, he forgot to keep working hard.

They are doing it to ensure they get band 1 compensation for Kreuzer if he walks through free agency like we did with Frawley. They are dreaming though

You guys are kidding yourselves in passing on Bennell because we are 'trying to build a strong culture'... How about we build a team first? We have missed out on players and top end talent who are constantly seeking to go to other clubs over ours because we aren't a destination club yet. Far from it actually. So when an A-grade midfielder, a bonafide star capable of kicking goals and winning matches is forced to being traded out for his club and would be 'HAPPY' to play at Melbourne, you TAKE that opportunity regardless of what he has done during the off season. Players have done much worse at clubs and still remain on their lists.. Just because Bennell got caught out and gets a bit hot-headed at times doesn't warrant a strict line through his name especially when we are a club that needs immediate talent! /endrant

The Rising Star Thread - Congratulations Jesse Hogan!

Did you see Cartlon Twitter handler message the AFL when Hogan won saying "You got your wish".... Whoever runs the social media team down their at Carlton are arrogant twats... Not only do their marketing department come up with ridiculous and self-indulging campaigns like "Can you smell what the blues are cooking" and "They know we're coming" But I also remember a few years ago when one of their players didn't get a rising star nomination, and they took it to Twitter to vent their frustration as well.. -

He was saying it's hard to get any continuity or cohesion when you are changing coaches, CEO's, constantly turning over the list and bringing in new fresh young players in and removing out the senior bloke..Said he had no one to learn off but at Geelong there was a wealth of leaders and veterans... I'm not sure about you Moonshadow, but to me that sounds like it was right on the money. Selective hearing at it's finest.

Signed a contract extension with the Crows

Not a bad decision really.. We don't have anyone going into free agency apart from Garland with any real value that will risk being diminished if we brought in Kreuzer. Would cost us nothing in terms of players or draft picks.. Can help out big Maxy and rest up forward to allow Hogan to push up if need be. A yes from me.

Tell me whats harder.. Being the key position forward player in a struggling side in your first year and kicking goals against the number 1 defender that goes to you and usually gets double teamed and with limited inside fifty entries? Or being a midfielder who you hardly have someone tagging you and always being around the ball at stoppages / play? Given the circumstances and the stats below, I know who the winner is. -
Mine was his tackle on Mav Weller..Tried the old don't argue on him running into an open goal, and Viney dumps him like a sack of potatoes.. Wellers reaction after trying to catch his breath with Viney strutting to take his kick was hilarious.

I'm sorry to burst some bubbles here, but JKH is not fast. Just because he is a small indigenous footballer, doesn't make him naturally quick. Do some research on him and look at his draft camp stats.

I was listening to it at one point.. The bias is undeniably toxic.

Everytime there is a contest we are always trailing and trying to run in circles to tackle always three steps behind...
-
We may not have the players who average the most butchered kicks in the league.. But I'd be pretty sure we would have a few players listed if the stats showed the # average of butchered kicks that resulted in a direct scoring shot.
