  1. Start believing this is the year. To go in against Geelong without important players like Lewis, Hogan, Hibberd and winning would be more than enough to prove that we are capable of playing finals.
  2. It makes sense he hasn't put pen to paper yet. If he continues the season as he did on the weekend, he could potentially almost double his salary. Will be a great tactic of motivation of wanting to end the season strong and make himself an in demand player. Smart move.
  3. Does anyone else think that with our new game plan under Goodwin it actually suits Etihad more than the G'? Watching the way we played against the Saints, playing on at every opportunity, just running up the narrow ground and kicking it long really suited our style. Interesting to see how we fair against the Cats.
  4. As a team, we really need to back ourselves in and look for the first option. We seem to overuse our handballs and look to walk our goals through as opposed to just backing yourself in and having a ping for goal. We always look to dish it off when instead the players should be kicking for goal...
  5. That dropped mark by Brayshaw in the last quarter right in front of the sticks from Garletts kick was nothing short of amateur. [censored] like that needs to be stamped out of the game.
  6. Probably the most obvious statement on demonland
  7. Last week we were playing on at every opportunity. We look like we are caught in mid every time we take possession...
  8. OUT: J Smith, Vince IN: Harmes, Tyson Can Harmes be a good addition to a floater across half back? Pretty good closing speed and has a great leap?
  9. Round 1, St Kilda vs Melbourne... Melbourne...M Gawn... one vote Melbourne...N Jones...two votes Melbourne.........C....Oliver....three votes.
  10. Oliver has been my favourite player before he even played, and time and time again he proves it. Not sure if many of you watch the way he goes about his footy, but players of his ilk and skill do not come around often. The way he grabs the ball mid air and fires off a handball before landing is nothing short of art. The way he picks up a ball and instantly throws his hands in the air and handballs over his head to a player running into space is mouth watering. He runs from content to contest bullocking his way through. Honestly, Clayton Oliver is the perfect mixture between grunt and sublime skill. He will be our become our most elite mid and one of the best players in the AFL. Watch this space.
  11. We really need to stop handballing too high for our players. There's nothing more frustrating where a hand ball shoots out and one of our players has to jump for it and completely halts the momentum, which then starts a chain of tackles and a massive struggle to get it out...
  12. Sorry mate, but there is no way Tyson, Kent and Jetta all miss.
  13. Gawn struggles against athletic ruckman like Hickey. Playing Spencer will allow us to throw Gawn deep in the Forward which will allow Hogan to press up. Will cause headaches for the defenders.
  14. As soon as I first saw Oliver, I knew we had an absolute star. The poise, the way he handballs in traffic, dips and side steps and waits for a team mate to be free before releasing the handball is something you don't see every day. Will reach higher achievements than Petracca and most other young stars. Watch this space.
  15. I honestly believe anyone can make it onto an AFL list with the application, desire and heart. This is why Jack Viney is one of my favourite players. He isn't blessed with speed, height, or silky smooth skills but he makes up for the lack of things he can't control with the things he can. If Tim Smith wants to be best 22, he can. Just like any other player on our list. It just boils down to how BADLY you want that.
  16. Heard from an unreliable source he has requested a trade. Watch this space.
  17. I'm over the moon this has been made illegal. Old mate Lewis wouldn't be too happy.
  18. Pretty sure it goes general maths, further maths, and one above that?
  19. Poised to have a massive year. I've heard he has done so much work to develop his tank. This will not only allow him to lead for longer, but also improve his set shots being less fatigued.
  20. The last games we played against them we won. Hence, we reign supreme..
  21. I believe 2017 will be the year where we beat a lot of teams we have struggled with in the past. St Kilda, North Melbourne, Carlton, West Coast, Essendon etc. If we can get the monkey off the back with games like those and continual to reign supreme over teams like Richmond, Port, Hawthorn etc. We should see a 6-8th finish.
  22. Would love to hear updates on how Mckenna and Hullet are tracking. These two intrigue me.
  23. You know, if he worked his butt off before and during the pre-season and came back fit and raring to go to work his way into the side, he could have triggered a contract extension by actually committing himself and having a stellar year. Obviously he would rather take money rather than earn it.
