Im not at all, our overuse of the footy won the game, it broke Richmonds game plan up. Im not looking for faults, i understand there is going to be analysis, im critical of the double standards applied to us. Also i like to win with class as well, but its a heated game, its adrenalin, a young fella is worked up.. there is absolutely no need to make it an issue about it, things happen as you say, the coach addressed it, move on.

He said that this morning, on radio, bizarre, his take last night on First Crack was negative and combative.

100% agree, im also sick of media having a go at the supporters, there job is to go teh team, talk about the team and what is good and bad, but it seems like the narrative is to take the mick out of us as the first point of response.

Just felt compelled to put something down on this but the utter contempt for us from certain media types is really insulting. I know we have been awful, truly awful in the past and i get the whole trust thing, i think its totally fair enough, we have failed many test before and i get that it stays with people but my goodness, some just cannot bring it upon themselves to pay is any praise without a but on the end. The 2 main offenders are the 2 people who, have been burnt by the demons the most in the past, these so called experts tipped Melbourne to win flags in 2019 and were made to look silly, are David King and Kane Cornes. I know it should not worry me but it really aggravates me that these 2 in particular cannot give any unconditional praise. Firstly Cornes says we were really good but was critical of Kozzie and teh pointing to the scoreboard incident.. of all the things we did well, that was his main take, its unbelievable. I for one loved the aggression and the arrogance of it, we have been passive for the best part of 10 years, we show some spunk, some swagger and some mongrel and the criticism still comes, they ask us to stand for something and then are critical when we do. And David King cannot bring himself to give praise, last night, if you can watch the first crack on Fox, his contempt for us was embarrassing, he could not just compliment our game without a rider, his thing was that Richmond will remember this and that Kozzie to extract the free kick dipped his shoulder and was alluding that it was illegal and not on, it was laughable, it was embarrassing for King, and it stood out like the dogs proverbials that he hates this club.. I hope we keep going, these guys will run out of things to be negative about eventually, or maybe not but its just so boring. At the start of the year, every media tool said Melbourne was the team under the greatest amount of pressure, we come out and beat 6 sides, including the premier and the grand finalist and still they find a way to be critical. Just a vent. Feel better now,

5 years is a great result, tipping the last couple will be back ended which allows Trac to sign for a couple of years id imagine.

Jackson is flying, he is getting better each week, his groundball stuff is elite and he is getting more involved. the Marks up Fwd will come.. but he is going so well.

Great call Chook, i went to the footy, noticed how engaged they are with each other, but it was my wife and 14 year old daughter who said out of the blue when i got home and we dissected the game that the "Demon players actually look like mates and that they like each other.." It shows and that's a really good sign.

Thought this was worth sharing, we have noticed how sound we are defensively, our set up is going really well and we are only conceding scores 31% of the time when teams enter there 50, a CD record (albeit only after 3 rounds) but its a great start. If the FD are serious, they wont play Jones on a fast deck against a very fast side. He was servicable, but he should be the one that goes out. No way would i drop Hunt. Viney for Jones.

Maclure throws out things like this all the time and im not saying he is totally wrong, our club suffers from a lot of things, culture? its a lazy thing to say if you are not inside the tent, but sadly until we prove its not a mess we will be labelled so and we frankly deserve it. He is right when he says... its up to teh players.. they are teh ones that need to stand up. I hope they can.

its a good story.. for Daw.. i would have went other ways, but hope he can do what the club expects. so, 3 list spots to go? and Lockhart will miss a long time as well.. surely we dont go into the season with 3 available list spots not filled?

Why not go and get Lewis Jetta for a year while we develop a player.. maybe not but why did we not explore more options.. we have managed to keep AVB, Jetta and Jones on the list, they are simply to slow to play 2021 AFL football, great warriors but they re done, the club couldnt make teh tough decisions and it will cost us. And when will we hear about adding players to the list.. what more do they need to find out.. i just have a bad feeling about where teh club is at the moment.. hope i am very wrong.

This is where this club annoys me so much, they went hard at Isaac Smith then when he chose Geelong they decided to stop the search.. Tom Phillips was there, he was there for the taking, he would have complimented this side so much. If We are trotting out Oscar Baker or Tom Mcdonlad as our wing then we are stuft. St Kilda went and targeted players, they got them, Bulldogs did the same, the Bombers and the Hawks do it.. we think getting Brown was all we needed.. its an absolute farce and the club is selling hope and finals.. please.. just get professional.. our coach wears shorts and looks like he hadn't slept for 5 weeks yesterday.. is just a poorly run, unprofessional football CLUB. Just a bit fed up with it all.

its not the loss, or the fact that we have a few missing.. its the way we lost. Appalling footy and does nothing, absolutely nothing to suggest we are going to do what Simon Goodwin has come out and said today. R1 looms large.

MFC has come out and said its not happening, People calling for it simply to be swapped are really just being narrow minded.. lost of prep has gone into our first game at the G, corporate and activations. Great to see us holding firm.

so I pay money for a MFC membership and a MCC membership and im going to miss out on a game.. if this happens I will be very angry. Move Essendon Hawthorn to Sunday at the G and Nth Port to Saturday night at Marvel.

They are really ordinary, few good players but a very ordinary team. Good when its on their terms, but ultimately let you down again and again. Sounds familiar.
