  1. Nope, you're catastrophising. Relax a little.
  2. Once upon a time yes, but I think those days are past. Did you see Rohan smoke May in that groundswell contest?
  3. Hardwick can institute "the Gold Coast man" culture.
  4. You mean like 63 points over the Eagles, 90 over North and 58 over Hawthorn? Ah, the facts thing ...
  5. No team played 23 H&A matches since 2012 either
  6. In July 2021 we lost to GWS at the MCG, beat Port in Adelaide, drew with Hawthorn at the MCG and then lost to the Dogs at the MCG. That was apparently in "the perfect season". Just sayin' ...
  7. "With that forward line I can't see us scoring more than 50 points. They are not much better so get ready for the most constipated game of the year." Only off by 5 goals.
  8. Howes ooked like a medial knee injury to me but no certainty. Jefferson took two great contested pack marks and flew well for others. Once he gets some bulk he'll be very good. Verrall was very promising too, rucked against Tom Campbell which was tough, but really followed up well for clearances and tackles.
  9. Toby Nankervis- dirtiest player in the league.
  10. Steven May was really great, marking everything that came his way. That hasn't been his problem this year, he's been very shaky on the ground ball.
  11. Ross Lyon's teams rarely lose big. That was St.Kilda's 3rd biggest loss of the year, they've lost by more than 5 goals only once and their two biggest losses were to the two highest scoring teams Brisbane and Adelaide. We held them to their 3rd lowest score of the year and we did it at their home ground. St.Kilda played very high pressure football and are 5th for a reason. Yes we needed to win after they were down 2 rotations (not 3 as many have posted), but they were down two talls not 2 runners. Yes the talls play high gametime but that's because they don't run as much. We're "defence first", the 2nd best defensive team, and we just out defended the 3rd best defensive team after beating the best defensive team on KBW. Our game style wins big finals. We lost last year because we were too beaten up, not because of fundamental game style flaws. We're always in the game and have only lost by more than 3 goals only once this year. Someone is going to have to beat us to win the flag and that won't be easy.
  12. 8 goals a quarter- pretty amazing
  13. That's great thanks. I was actually thinking of the GWS match specifically- can you please just give me that for comparison.
  14. @WheeloRatings have you got goals, behinds and misses from set shots and general play for each team, please?
  15. Yeah, I notice you left out 26 to 12 shots. 36% shots per i50 vs 26% shots per i50. Conversion was the problem.
  16. I reckon that might be why Jason Castagna retired early. It's a very demanding role.
  17. It's not as cold and wet as yesterday.
  18. I'll be amazed if Petty doesn't play.
  19. Many countries do https://www.obesityevidencehub.org.au/collections/prevention/countries-that-have-implemented-taxes-on-sugar-sweetened-beverages-ssbs
  20. The idea that 2021 was somehow a "perfect season" is some of the greatest Demonland revisionism. We drew with struggling Hawthorn and lost by 20pts to the Dogs at the MCG in late July and plenty on the site were calling for Goodwin's head. We smashed GC at the start of August and things rolled from there. Although I had mates writing us off for the season at 3qtr time vs Geelong in the last round. 2021 was stuttering until the finals.
  21. WC Premiership players: Duggan, Barrass, Yeo, Darling, Shuey, Sheed Seasoned AFL players: Kelly, Gaff, Witherden, Hunt, Allen, Petrevski-Seaton, Petrucelle It's a disgrace
  22. But apparently it will be different in our forward line where Gawn/Grundy, Petty, JVR and Smith will all be flying? Occam's Razor says Petty back for Tomlinson. We'll see.
  23. Tonlinson is very stiff, but Petty >>> Tomlinson. Petty, fit, has to come straight in - either Smith or Tomlinson had to go out and either would have been very unlucky.
