  1. And may they be shaken by lightning strikes, and beaten by aggressive bouncers. Amen.
  2. The ‘keep conceding’ was just a flourish to set up my larger punishment. All good. After the footage this morning- it should be fairly straightforward. We play a ragged Geelong in a fortnight. And we do what we did to the Hawks in 18. We end it.

Fritsch doesn't do what he did without Brown and TMac. He can be better but what did we have - 3 players lowering their colours? Do people not know that even when you're playing finals and are the best team - there will be those that struggle in games. The amount of time that will go into Oliver in the PF will be intense - he may work through it but he will also need the kind of support that Tommy's forward brethren gave him last night.
  4. Keep conceding... 6+ please and a fine and an extra massive suspended fine. And he can then apologise. He tried to intimidate an umpire while discussing another stupid decision that he himself made.
  5. ”I would stop hitting you if you showed me some respect!” terrible effing message
  6. Absolutely, and if Stevic is in any way going to be the reason why he gets weeks or gets off then suddenly it's about this person and not about what Greene did, what it looked like as a part of the product of AFL footy, and what example it gives to kids and suburban footy full of nuffies that think you should (not can) treat umpires poorly.
  7. The Lions should beat whoever wins today. Geel should beat a Greene-less GWS. The most selfish player in the league is Toby and he needs to be made an example of - you want umpiring to get better? Not going to happen unless you come down hard on the overt disrespect and malevolence that Greene's little bump embodied. Melb vs Geel Port vs BL Thankgod we won that last game. Scott, Danger and Selwood were selling nonsense last week with the 'had to play in Adelaide either way'... lol, what a bunch of self-deluding tossars they are. We should beat Geel but they will try to stop us from playing footy and frustrate us and we have to be 'in the moment' as Jake Lever says. Port will easily get past BL in my opinion - Andrews is injured and Dixon will beat him. Their mids are too quick for the Lions.
  8. It seemed a Dees crowd - who was there? thoughts please. Tell us everything!
  9. TMac stays - he will love to have a week off. He can find 2 goals and earn his keep by keeping someone busy. Sparrow stays - he just reminds me of Guy Rigoni... Weird pull but great role player and built so well - great for a chop out for CP5/CO13. Bowey and Smith may be the ones who are vulnerable. I would play Hunt - he is a point of difference and is a spark plug. He will blaze away of course but he gets us going. Hibberd will be in the frame. Selection is boring. How fantastic is that?
  10. Good on the club for taking the whole squad - it would cost us/AFL a bit but if you CAN do it - you HAVE to do it. This will galvanise the group for years.
  11. Brayshaw was amazing and found that finals on a wing are very similar to what he likes - tough footy where he gets to show his ball winning ability. Viney is pretty good for a rugby player, @demon3165 eh? Fritsch is a bad [censored] assassin. Oliver and Petracca are one two punch that will get us a flag (at some point). The backline was excellent once again. We are the best team in the league and that doesn't mean anything - but it does bring belief - and that is everything. Go Dees.
  12. @Jaded be hoping for lightning strikes…
  13. Yes, but he now takes his evil sith ways to beat the might of the dark lord Sauron… In Perth…
  14. My bracket is done. Picked Sydney. GWS should best Geelong. But the Swans would have easily done them.

You have the FREEDOM to say whatever you want on this privately owned slice of internet - and I have the same capacity to say it won’t happen and how damaging it would be. My alternative? Don’t get Cerra. Our cap is going to bulge after this year with the kids getting more, quicker. And I am TRIGGERED by people who think they have the freedom to say whatever they wish and others don’t have that same freedom to shoot that to pieces. In this current climate of course.

Those that want to trade Gus have no idea about what makes a collection of talented individuals a great team. If wants to stay and play his role as well as he has this year - he will be a Demon for a while yet. And his parents live in Melbourne and house 3 young Demons so those with words to Tyne effect he will go back for family are just spewing out words.
  17. Apparently, Hawkins' doctor told him that he wouldn't get so many nose bleeds if he kept his finger out of there... Alas!
  18. Yes, they go out of their way to avoid playing football. Scott knows he has a bunch of duds around that star talent. They are not set up to win finals - they are set up to frustrate and exploit teams with high end talent doing the hard work but when the heat is on - they are not able to stand up across the board. Now the Swans or the Giants need to do what we did to Hawthorn in '18 and just finish this. Just finish it.
  19. As a country we have a terrible risk tolerance - we just don't want to engage in it. At same time - we're incompetent at many things including the process we are pushing even vaccinated people into when they come here because of our low risk tolerance. We are only going to get more dysfunctional from here as we get more vaxxed. I live in the ACT - we will have 80% vaxxed sometime on October. But we won't open up until 2 weeks after last case... I have a kid (not) in daycare - and I get the anxiety - I literally want to send something to all parents to get themselves vaccinated. I find the greatest irony are the freedoms that we don't have will not come back to us for years unless those that rail against their lack of freedoms are coerced to get vaccinated. TL;DR - FML. Go Dees.
  20. Geelong have kicked 5 of the last 25 goals... Hardly good form to go into a Semi Final in PERTH against either the Swans or Giants. It's now on us to beat Brisbane and get to Perth to get a week off and ready for whichever teams comes out of that game next week.
