Vic govt and AFL could get it done if they are comfy eating the [censored] that will come with; Not allowing under 16s, unvaccinated, those without neg tests inside two days, having a mask mandate, and fully ticketed with ID proof on entry. Concession stands are an issue. You could close or have them open and own the risk with masks off while eating/drinking in seats with no bars to stand in close spaces. But this takes courage and conviction and it will also lead to protestors in Yarra park on the day I reckon.
  2. It warms the heart that, in a year Collingwood finishes 2nd last and we finish top 3, they have their first pick behind our first pick…

Tassie or SA would be best options IMO.
  4. Yes, but we are not talking about defensive forward jobs - we are talking about Fritsch as an AllAustralian. And Bayley certainly isn’t going to make it as a defensive forward…
  5. Literally, yes. My main point is that he has beaten up on a couple of lowly teams in two games for ~30% of his goals. This argument is fraught - love my downhill skiers, they put teams to the sword - but just don’t think he has had an AA year.
  6. 13 of his goals against NM and Adel. I don’t think he has done enough. He had about 6 games where he was a liability.
  7. No, hearing voices in my legs. Thats proper mental!
  8. Dazzle - he wasn’t on Seedsman. That’s not making excuses. He had a downer but has had some ripper games.
  9. It’s be sustained relief really.
  10. I was after him earlier in the year. And he does very well when there are players who can attract a better defender like Brown. So ironically he may be the best forward but he isn’t the most important. You say that all players have flaws and that is true, but defensive intent is not a flaw, it is a mindset that he falls out of too easily. The team is built on that and creates his opportunities when ANB pressures the footy or we get an interception further up the ground. Fritsch is a big part of us winning but there are three stages of footy and what he does when we don’t have the footy is a big part of our success - more so than Brown because Fritsch’s opponent is more likely to be involved in counterattacks. He keeps up the defensive work rate we will be hard to beat as there will be one less weak link in that defensive chain.

King ‘follows his numbers’… He was right to jump off us after 2019 - that was pathetic. It did allows to get Jackson so you win some, you are pathetic and get draft compensation you don’t deserve…some.
  12. Your disrespect for Viney is not unnoticed by the football gods - I fear for your karma - they are vengeful gods. Viney was built for finals and he will deliver where others struggle to perform. If you think we are better off without him then I will leave you to the fate of those above.

Only team above us is the Heaven XVIII. Bunch of righteous flogs, love to clip their wings… And did you know their coach is responsible for the pandemic? Love to punch him in the face…
  14. Without Hunt, Hibberd is the only one that doesn’t go right back in that shell that we all came out of, when the game is tight and we ain’t doing much.
  15. Best in the forward line today. Excellent. Last quarter was his reward.

Our summer could be similar if our risk appetite changes but I believe the EPL has vaccination/negative test proof as means of entry. The loud ‘freedom rider’ idiots will not like that…
  17. We have kept our best players on the park and that is the difference at the top. Previous iterations of Dees teams have not had the galaxy of stars we now have so it is even more imperative to winning deep into the year. It also hampers the notion of depth being important. Can’t replace your best players nor your brightest stars. They go out, you’re left with a black hole.
  18. You’re a Melbourne supporter??
  19. Well, it does make one realise why we got rid of the ‘gold standard’ back in ‘68…
  20. God, Hawthorn are a proud club. So glad they [censored] themselves…
  21. GC like numbers… Pandemic is the real mind killer here. Crowds will be back next year.
  22. On GC - the same was said about Sydney and Brisbane decades ago. We need to grow the game or it willl become the NRL - stagnated.
