  1. Yep, it was Hawthorn
  2. Do you want to be the one that administers when individual members signed up, given they have tens of thousands of members? Why not elect to roll over your membership, rather than wait until August, when you miss much of the benefits of what memberships provide, ie access to home games?
  3. Membership is for the calendar year regardless of when in the year you join, I believe
  4. Okay there's manipulation of facts and then there's this. Parkdale having a "history of poor behaviour towards male students" is a gross manipulation of what actually happened. They had a guest speaker from the council who said an incredibly stupid thing and was condemned by the school and the Kingston City Council. There, corrected it for you.
  5. ....and to think you're the father of a 6 year old girl...... can't imagine the amount of gaslighting and mansplaining she's going to be enduring in her lifetime.
  6. You cited an article that solely referenced De Goey. My question to you, though, is that you have strong feelings towards treating everyone with respect, particularly in the workplace. What is respectful about presenting yourself in this manner, or in fact referring to a female person as "chick"? Both these acts can easily be interpretted as being disrespectful to women. Explain the context and the purpose if disrespect is not intended. Further, the image in question is quite clearly not in the workplace. Further, it's taken you two weeks for you to find outrage in this? I'd have thought this was old news. The fact only Rita Pahani was the only media commentator (I dare not call her a journalist) that was outraged by this with nothing more than "whataboutism" is rather telling.
  7. Sorry, but I don't see the double standards. Firstly, DeGoey has had multiple incidents of disrespectful/abusive behaviour including a charge of sexual assault. Steph Chiocci hasn't. Secondly, De Goey pulled the top down and exposed the nipple of the woman in the nightclub, to which the video shows her clearly pushing it away. Certainly did not look consentual. Same with the changeroom incidents cited which again show there is not a lot of evidence of things being consentual. In this photo nothing is exposed. Is it consentual? Hard to say, as it's a photo. But anyone arguing the De Goey incident was consentual is kidding themselves.
  8. That's what makes it a certainty!!! And what's the bet he's going to make stacks more!!
  9. Eddie Everywhere saying something stupid.
  10. Is Eddie Everywhere still mates with James Packer?
  11. Melbourne, Richmond and Hawthorn need to stand in solidarity against these [censored]
  12. Talking about clueless Collingwood people, Eddie Everywhere is apparently insulted by the other clubs’ stance against Collingwood wanting to boot home team members out of their Ponsford Stand seats, namely Hawthorn and Richmond, claiming it was Collingwood who built the Ponsford and Olympic Stands and the MCG wouldn’t be what it is now if it wasn’t for Collingwood. Can this [censored] spell delusional?
  13. I remember years ago on the train going to a Queens Birthday match having to educate a Collingwood supporter who was absolutely adamant Collingwood were the oldest club in the competition! She was clueless! Mind you she initiated a conversation with me by asking why do I barrack for Melbourne and was stumped when I replied "So I don't have to barrack for Collingwood".
  14. Sorry, I think when I posted I'd just had a grumpy moment with one of my year 9s so my joke radar was off!
  15. I was talking to Kate Roffey about this on Monday after the AGM, she's pretty confident we won't lose any big name players. They are pretty keen to stay in the red and blue. We're more likely to lose a couple of emerging players or players that haven't played in the firsts for a while, to get an opportunity to play. She said not many people know that a heap of our players were offered very lucrative packages to leave in the gap between Seasons 6 and 7, yet they vowed to stay. I did bring up THAT article regarding Karen Paxman going to Fremantle. Kate told me Paxy's response was "I didn't know that!" So I think it's fair to say that story is about as credible as Kanye West becoming the next US President.
  16. Richmond would have something to say about that, I'm sure!! They've been tenants a lot longer than Collingwood!
  17. We are tenants but unlike the other three clubs we have a spiritual link to the MCG and the MCC. We are, after all, the only one out of any club in the AFL, an affiliate of the MCC. This is duly recognised by the MCC.
  18. I've just had a flashback of this song
  19. Some people on this forum have nothing better to do other than [censored] and moan about the club. It's getting boring.
  20. The primary objective of the electronic vote was to reduce costs. In the past postal votes cost a fortune, electronic voting is significantly more cost effective. I have to say, HTD, your constant pontificating about how bad the club is being run is getting rather tiresome. Now it's about how many people vote. How about you look at the percentages of other clubs' members voting at AGM and come back to us.
  21. I'm not disagreeing with you on that. I'm merely correcting some misinformation here. I was responding to a post here that the club's office were at AAMI. They're not, they're at the MCG. There is no plan, though, to move admin base to Casey, that has never been on the agenda.
