I agree, I was thinking a few weeks ago that we may not see Trac back to his full self well into the season. This is reassuring to see, he's not holding back and others aren't holding back around him. He's going to be a beast in 2025! And I cannot wait!!

One more from GW: Another DL regular and I had a long chat with Trac. He was honest and spoke with passion. We would periodically say "We don't wanna hold you up", etc, but he pretty much vented the whole time and we just listened. Not gonna elaborate but he's a changed person. Even he says he is.

Probably more perplexed now. But even that's dissipating!

Jason Taylor told my ghostwriter today at training that it's a formality, that once paperwork is done, we'll have Ricky Mentha. By the end of today he'll officially be a Demon. Good news :)

One more bit from GW: Salo is sure he'll be right for well before round 1. He had knee surgery and his recovery is coming along really nicely. Despite the oppressive heat, the session isn't shortened, nor is it tempered at all. They are going HARD.

From GW: Aidan turned up later than the others. Xavier running laps with SpargiPants. Tons of media here. Probably for the draftees but Tracc turning up was a surprise. I can almost smell Cleary racing to get here.

He’s got to get used to being back in hard work mode. Nonetheless, hope it doesn’t get infected…!

More from GW: JT said we’re definitely picking up Ricky Mentha, it’s not official yet until all the paperwork is done some time this arvo. This was always plan, ie. if he makes it through the draft, which he has, we’d get him as a cat. B rookie.

According to Ghostwriter, Harry Sharp is there, but Aidan “Peaches” Johnson isn’t. Probably has to clear things up with his job today.

Early scoop from The Ghostwriter: Hey Katnip, Some early info… It’s bloody hot already. It’s only 9am and Vines is running laps, he has to leave training early for a family function. The new boys will be here this morning but not participating in training per se. According to Goody we will “high likely”be picking up Ricky Mentha tonight As you know, Kat, despite being described as “… an athletic brute who imposes himself on the contest” Aidan’s nickname is Peaches. The new boys will be going to the Mansfield camp. JT is looking pretty damn happy with himself… And so he should. More to come.

Maximum on the list is 44. We can only go to 38 senior players if we don't use up the two spare rookie spots.

On the club's socials this morning they put up interviews with both boys. Harvey said he'd trained with Melbourne during the year, and was expecting to be drafted by Melbourne. He expressed he's excited about joining Melbourne, and that his favourite player to watch growing up was Petracca. I don't think we have much to worry about.
