The Girls are Having a Good Time
Confidence is a wonderful thing. That goal from running around her mark last week is testament to that. It's so great to see!!

The Girls are Having a Good Time
The exciting thing about Bannas is that she's only 20 years old. She's only going to get better and better and better.

The Girls are Having a Good Time
So you're making assumptions about women's football based on watching other teams? An elimination final no less? This is Geelong's first finals (in the past they've been pretty ordinary) and North, whilst at times been a good team, finished 8th. Some argue they're making up numbers in the finals this year. Neither North or Geelong play like Melbourne play, Dees play for possession rather than bombing it forward, and their communication has been outstanding. In fact the Dees men can learn a lot from the Dees women in that respect. I suggest you watch Melbourne v Adelaide Qualifying Final. I'd say it was one of the best games they've played.

AFLW: Finals Week 02
I'm going to be the devil's advocate here. They need to name it Marvel and be done with it. Melbourne and Brisbane both finished equal top of the ladder, with only .3% separating them. Brisbane have already hosted a grand final, they have also already won a premiership. Given the fact we missed out on seeing the men win the premiership in 2021, it's about time we were looked after for a bloody change. And if the interstate clubs want to plead "bloody Victorians", let them - we've been [censored] on too many times, and we need to fight back.

AFLW: QF vs Adelaide
Nicole Livingstone has been a big disappointment. I don't see her advocating for the game at all, all I see her doing is being a "yes" person for the big wigs in the AFL. They tell her to jump, she says how high.

You need to get into following this fabulous team, Old Dee!

The Girls are Having a Good Time
Benny is ace, he's one of the most approachable of the men, and he's so engaging and inclusive. He's fantastic, lovely fellow. Hattie, too.

The Girls are Having a Good Time
Not sure if anyone has seen this, but it's a fantastic analysis of the turnaround last week against Adelaide. Frankly I think it was the best game they've ever played. Just a brilliant comeback when it looked pretty dire at quarter time. And the girls were PUMPED after the game. Surely that performance places them clear favourites for the Premiership! https://www.womens.afl/news/114427/t-hanks-for-the-win-how-the-dees-turned-the-tables-on-the-crows

AFLW: Finals Week 02
They've already said Marvel if it's in Melbourne. I think Brisbane would be hard pushed to get a home GF given the unavailability of Metricon and Gabba.

AFLW: QF vs Adelaide
That wouldn't surprise me. I get the impression the AFL doesn't know what they're doing with AFLW.

Oh, wow, I'm salivating at the thought of Mackin and Macca on the wings next season!!!

Couldn't have said it better myself. Incels are annoying.

The Girls are Having a Good Time
Wanna rock up to the girls' training session and tell them they're not a serious competition, that they're just tokens? Yeh, didn't think so.
-
The Girls are Having a Good Time
Yep. Couldn't agree more. There's always one, isn't there?

The Girls are Having a Good Time
Okay Kevin.

The Girls are Having a Good Time
This is one of the reasons why I love watching this team play, it exemplifies the very point of the OP. These girls are great to watch, they're unified as a team, they love spending time with each other, their fans, they are loved and supported by each other and their supporters.

The political machinations at Collingwood
This article explains what the situation stood last year. I cannot see any evidence of them having an SGM to change that aspect of their ordinary membership definition, unless it was an agenda item in their AGM last December, for which I'm struggling to find the minutes of. If the situation has changed, then good on them, and I stand corrected. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/37-years-a-pies-member-but-barrie-cassidy-still-can-t-vote-20211111-p59838.html

The political machinations at Collingwood
It's massively crook, isn't it? I don't see how they can be termed members if they don't have voting rights. Only the social club members and coterie have voting rights. It's a strange situation. Brisbane Lions are also set up that way.
-
The political machinations at Collingwood
It's hardly democracy at Collingwood while only about 10,000 of their 100,000 members have voting rights. That club could implode and there's nothing the "members" can do about it.

AFLW: QF vs Adelaide
Yeh, it was a great night, wasn't it? It was my fourth time going to Princes Park this season, I went to the Bulldogs/GWS game in Round 1, then the Casey GF, then Melbourne/Carlton game and then Friday night. Every single time was a fantastic atmosphere and heaps of fun. Even ending up ankle deep in mud outside the ground reminded me of the 80s!!

Yeh, see, that's what I thought, too. I was a bit flabergasted by the comment, to be honest.
