  1. We're paying $2.90. A little less insulting than last weeks $6.00 on offer V Sydney.
  2. Logic says Richmond. Have been more than competetive in all their games, meanwhile Melbourne haven't been competitive since round 2. I'm sure Richmond will beat a mentally weak Geelong this week. Although I'd love nothing more than to be proven wrong.
  3. He deserves the 2 weeks. Crude bump that forced Hayes to the changing rooms for attention. Knowing our luck, Port will appeal and he'll get off. Be a massive bonus if he misses.
  4. Thats not confirmed yet, but if the tribunal is serious, he should get weeks. It was a vicious bump to the head, and I was under the impression the AFL were cracking down on these bumps. Lenny Hayes had to go to the rooms after the bump, and the Ch 7 commentators voiced their concerns for the bump. If Michael Johnson can get 4 weeks for clipping Hansen's head (NAB Cup) then Shaun Burgoyne should at least get 2 for his. But its 2007 we're talking about....our luck is lying somewhere in the Werribee serwage system
  5. Simmonds and to a lesser extent Jolly have both performed way above what the MFC thought they were worth. Still hard to accept the fact that we traded Simmonds for Craig Ellis 6 years ago (3 way trade that involved Bandy from Freo)
  6. In summary: 4 losses at an average of 37 points. Injuries to McLean, Neitz, Robbo, TJ, Moloney, Rivers, Green, Wheatley, Jones and Whelan. Pathetic and inept performances from the players. Pathetic and inept performance from the coach. Pathetic and inept performances from the president (thinks Daniher should coach to 2016) Pathetic and inept performances from the fans (16,000 to an MCG home game) Apart from that the seasons travelling quite well
  7. Fair point. Hopefully he can go on and have his best season since 2002.
  8. We could knock off Port. As long as someone bribes the injury gods Best possible case scenario heading into that game is that we'll only be missing Robertson, Whelan, Jones, McLean and Bartram. TJ, Moloney and Rivers would have hopefully had solid and healthy hitouts, Green should be back, Neitz will make his return, Pickett and Sylvia will be operating at about 80% (instead of 60% V Freo)...we're a sniff I reckon. And RR, what was your honest opinion about Yze's game V Freo?
  9. Swans by 16 points. But it could be season defining as YM suggests. I'm confident we'll play our best footy for the year. If all 3 of Rivers, TJ and Moloney play, then that will help us dramatically. Yze, Davey, Bruce and Pickett were our main weapons in last years game, and their all playing tomorrown night which is great!
  10. I hope it belts down. I'm sick of conceding cricket scores.
  11. Sorry, saving my pennies for the Brisbane trip. Good luck and have an awesome girls' weekend. Bring the boys some luck!
  12. He played a pearler last year in Sydney. 3 goals, including a couple of freaks.
  13. SCG confirmed. Source - Age, Herald Sun, AFL Website.
  14. Save Neitz for round 6 V Port. We should also have Moloney, TJ and Rivers back for Port. Also by that stage Pickett and Sylvia would have had 2 solid games under their belt. Provided we have a solid crack this week and keep the margin respectable, I really believe we can open our account against Port.
  15. A bit harsh there mate. All he was doing was providing a bit of light entertainment. And at least you could hear his trumpet...unlike the apalling MCG PA system that was on display yesterday.
  16. If ND wants another contract, all he has to do is point to our massive injury list, and the Board will probably fall for it
  17. Anyone reckon Yze will be dropped to the magoos again. He's on the extended interchange so obviously no certainty to play this weekend.
  18. Always nice to welcome back an 'A Grader'. Not expecting too much, but I gurantee Davey will stand a lot taller this week and finally open up his goal kicking account for 2007. Quite appalling that our opportunist goal sneak has been held goal-less in 3 rounds.
  19. Welcome back BYRON!!!!! And Moloney in the team...ducks and drakes me thinks!
  20. The footy gods are not smiling on us, from an MFC point of view. $50 Headland plays the game of his life, kicks 5 goals and is the inspiration behind Freo's win. Carr also plays a blinder. I'm almost over 2007
  21. Furthermore, I'd be surprised if the players can even be bothered running through it...especially these days.
