I also thought we should've taken Ball at pick 18.The club had an opportunity to be ruthless (and could afford to with the luxury of 4 top 20 picks) but of course let Collingwood have their man.

That's actually a good use of the sub, in Bail.I'm glad Davey's starting, he needs a full game to get some confidence back.
-
Just leave Mark. Members aren't going to cop your excuses and defeatism any more. The jobs too big for you.

I hope that's the last time we see Spencer.

Is communication mark neeld's biggest weakness?
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
So I'm guessing he's expecting to get fired during the season. -
Knowing us, we'll play him as sub this week, he'll come on in the last quarter when we're 100 down and he'll get 10 touches and 5 clearances.

Time to call a Spade a Spade or state the Bleeding Obvious
Bring-Back-Powell replied to fired up's topic in Melbourne Demons
If Frawley wants to leave this year, I'd only accept a top 10 draft pick for him. We simply cannot afford to let a valuable full back go for nothing. And he can go and get stuffed if he's going to hold the club for ransom. And at the end of next year, we simply match the highest offer under free agency. Sick of quality players leaving the joint. -

I honestly stopped reading after the jumper point. Who gives a rats clacker what jumper we wear. I think some people see a correlation between our horrible form and the white clash strip. -
Sorry guys, thought we needed an onfield thread for a change. What's everyone's thoughts on him so far? I've been reasonably impressed so far. Averaging about 20 touches, seems to be a good athlete, continually provides an option, plays with a bit of heart. On the flip side he lacks class and is clearly not a goal kicking midfielder. Overall he's been a rare good news story, but can he make the step up from average to good over the next 18 months?

Not sure if serious....

I hope these junk time goals don't save Neeld, given GC are 2 men down and tiring.
-
Just found out the reason Davey or Rodan wasn't picked is that it would've made us more experienced than Gold Coast. Neeld relies on the lack of experience excuse to justify loses.

He missed round 4 2011, our first game V's GC, at the Gabba
-
thats a good out.
-
We started at 1.80 favourites. I'm the most pessimistic mfc supporter on the planet, but I'm quietly confident we can beat the Suns, simply due to it being at the G.

Why is James Magner on the rookie list?
Bring-Back-Powell replied to What's topic in Melbourne Demons
No news yet on a Magner upgrade? Will be a kick in the guts if he can't get upgraded despite 2 long term injuries occurring. -
Can you imagine this forum if Neeld gets a contract extension tomorrow? Ignoring Dawes, Byrnes has been the best of a very bad bunch of experienced recruits. And he's struggled in most games apart from GWS and Brisbane.
-
Probably about the reason I bothered going today, and we probably get to only see him for 30 minutes.
-
Yep, it was a cheap shot but how many more 100 point losses is the senior coach afforded?
-
Last day at the office I reckon.
-
Dawes a few weeks away....Sounds good to me. Lets slowly build up our 25 year old marquee recruit at Casey, for a round 13 return. We can't afford afford to throw him to the wolves too early.
-
Time for Dawes to come in. We need a target up forward. Yes he's under done, but we're not paying him $500k a year to play footy in East Cranbourne. We're going to lose regardless, so what do we have to lose by playing him?

Demonland Player of the Year - Round 5
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agreed. But he's the current club house leader of our recruits from other teams. (Not that it's a very impressive club house)
