Weid to ruck with Brown chopping out??? Cripes!
-
FWIW Tom Brown on Ch 7 saying Oliver's deal is pegged to the CBA and total player payments. Starts off at about $1mill and could end up as $1.5 or $1.6mill by the end of contract

Schache is such a dumb footballer

Doesn't help that Zorko is subbed out before 1/4 time
-
Mate, that's in the past. Only Melbourne supporters raise that over and over. Other clubs don't. Do you seriously think Freo will say "he turned a GF so we must get him!" They will consider how he fits into their set up and how much he costs, both contract and trade costs. They look to the future. Try it some time

Ironically, Josh Kennedy has become the best player that Carlton have drafted in the last 25 years! Lol!
-
WCE got a high draft pick as well as Kennedy Edit. Kennedy, pick 3 and 20 for Judd and pick 46
-
I believe he can nominate for the preseason draft rather than the national draft, in which case WCE have first pick and still keep their first ND pick of 1 or 2. Or have they changed that rule? However, I highly doubt Dogga or the clubs would let it get to that
-
Clearly Thailand has tickled your sense of reality. I applaud the confidence, however you are wrong and it will not happen the way you hope. Look forward to reading the SWYL outrage if Dogga goes west! Lol!

Mate, have you been smoking too much of the good stuff in Bangkok??? Highly, highly doubtfull Freo will trade Andrew Brayshaw, he's a future captain and many have him as favourite for the brownlow this year. He was pick #2, should've been #1, and has 90 games under his belt. He's more advanced than Dogga. Freo have a good ruck already and with Cerra now at Carlton, cannot afford to see another A-grade mid leave. They will certainly not part with him and a high draft pick for Dogga. If anything we would have to give an additional pick if Dogga were to head to Freo and Brayshaw was to come to us. But that's pie in the sky stuff IMO It's like hearing Freo fans claim their first pick this year and next years 2nd should get it done. Lol! We all have rose coloured glasses on
-
Hope you're correct, Pennant. You certainly have the runs on the board. Thanks for sharing Some on here claim mail that is the opposite, usually rehashed from SM, I believe
-
If Dogga leaves we will certainly need to find another ruck to support Max, maybe two. Any suggestions?

Unless we have one of the big key forwards in our sights for next year (eg McKay or Curnow), another young key tall in the draft might work well to be mentored by BBB and Tmac in their twilight years. I believe I read here that there's quite a few key talks in this year's draft. If, and a big if, Gus or Dogga leave we should have some decent picks to work with. JVR and another KPF under 26yo will set us up for a good few years Gunston: NO

Hogan was about pick 2 or 3 during the GWS entry parlava. We traded him for 6, I believe
-
By the end of this season Jackson may well have played in two premierships. Might be a good way to end up and return home
-
A lot of water to go under before that happens. But if Dogga does in fact want to go to the Eagles, I think they will split pick 2 into a couple of 1st rounders in the teens. Then offer us one of those and a 2nd rounder (about 20).

According to the AFL site injury list, Tmac is 10-12 weeks away. Which means season over
-
Worth remembering that building costs and timelines are at least double what they were a couple of years ago. 2025 will be footings only for a ridiculous amount of money. Meanwhile there's truckloads of grant money down at Punt Rd. They'll need to build a new stand just to hold all the cash!

Didn't I read somewhere you were going there to meet up with him? Hope you both behave, Bitter but optimistic

Despite a short paws in performance, they clawed their way to a win

I've also noticed players getting pushed in the back in marking contests and not being paid. It's more than holding one's ground, the aim is to take the opponent out of the contest. I thought Neale's mark on the boundary Punt Rd end was a clear push out. I think Petty got a good shove in another 1:1 contest Happy for players to hold ground, but not if it clearly takes the opponent out of the contest
