  1. So... Met directly with Freo mid year in-contract with MFC ❌ Said later in the year he hadn't thought too much about a new contract and was focused on footy ❌ Once Dogga indicated he was returning to WA was open to either club ❌ MFC said during trade time the Dogga hadn't indicated which club ❌ Honestly, what a dumb [censored] Dogga is. Surely his manager would've told him emphatically to not say anything too revealing, just thank MFC and the fans, say he's happy to be home and that he looks forward to playing footy next year. Amongst the most stupid things he could've said was that he met with Freo mid year and decided then that he was leaving to go there
  2. Plenty of AFL players change state and stay. A lot of posters assume they know the situation with Dogga, especially those calling him a "mummy's boy" (which really say more about the poster). He may well have extenuating circumstances we do not know of We also need to get better at poaching interstate players originally from Vic, though we did bloody well with Lever and Langdon I'm with those who say this topic is an overreaction
  3. Who has their F1st pick? Can we get it?!!!
  4. Now... pick 13 and our F2nd for Georgiadis. Port need a F2nd to get Hore-Francis mega deal done
  5. Better than being the Walrus or the Eggman!
  6. Voss as a 1st rounder??? Doerre likes to mix em up! Edit. If 22yo Voss has been overlooked in a couple of drafts already, doesn't that make him a free hit to any club? Or have I got the draft rules mixed up?
  7. I know a kid that was in the Bullies VFL side a couple of years ago. Some if the stories he told me would make anyone cringe Having said that, probably happens to some extent at most clubs
  8. A pick inside top 5 in what is arguably a strong draft (as well as our own pick 18!) would be sublime
  9. Come on buddy, eyes on the ball Move on
  10. Straw man comment. Not unexpected Mundy's spot will be will be hard for Freo to fill adequately, regardless of B&F finish Fwiw, I too think Freo might drop a little, maybe 8 or 9. Logue, Acres and possibly Lobb are also significant outs. Time will tell
  11. And yet ANB was in ours Mundy will be a significant loss for their midfield group next year, despite being older than old dee
  12. I like the look of Phillipou a lot. Reminds me more of GWS Kelly than Bont. Excellent vision and creates time and space. Bottom ager too boot Let's do the Poo!
  13. Bulldogs have quite a few of them. Both Libba and Hunter are good players despite this. Managed to get rid of the worst one though: Stringer
  14. What's the ruck at Casey like? Is it Bell? Worth a rookie spot? Iirc injured for last part of Casey season so Weid took over.

The link says he's 186cm. Looks a lot taller in the clip Talented, but the standard made him look better
  17. After Ashcroft. Sheezel at 4? Tsatas at 5?

Speaking of training ground, preseason training must start in about 3 weeks. Is it 6 wks or 8 wks off in the agreement? Can't wait!
  19. I agree, it doesn't get us The Cadillac, which is disappointing, but we have JVR and Tmac coming in in 2023 and maybe even Petty up forward for cameos. Perhaps Lamb and Taylor also have eyes on the 2023 draft which is meant to be a ripper. That would net us our 1st (18!) and Fre's 1st (12ish) and Norf's 2nd (20ish). That's a very good hand in a strong draft. I still think the key to us improving next year is a strong preseason and an exceptional run with injuries throughout the season
  20. Goody to Ooze: "Glad you stayed. See what you might've been up to your armpits in?!"
  21. Can you name a religion or denomination that is not asset rich? By and large, riches built on the back of taking money from the masses and tax breaks. The catholic church, for example is the richest ngo in the world, yet I'd bet that the large majority of its followers are either poor or far from affluent If I am correct, SWYL is referring (yes, in a generalised way) to the church being rich, as in the religious organisation. Not the individual participants in it One upmanship of religious experience does not make you any more right in this matter. It only highlights arrogance

I'm still laughing at this page!
  24. Good. As Diamond Jim wrote: it only has to happen once for clubs to never do it again I'd be wrapped if another club snatched him, especially us! Different circumstances, but I can almost see Freo doing the same with their 13

Shame there isn't an independent panel that audits clubs SCs. Has Bowes been promised a free hobby farm near Geelong as well? Or something similar for family back in Cairns?
