FFS, stop it with the Dogga speculation It's hard enough that we are eagerly anticipating his re-signing without the nervous-nellie talk let it go, please
  2. Very true. I knew a recruiter at an AFL club during Schache's draft year. He said Schache was amazingly uncompetitive for a guy his size.
  3. I'm assuming the flag unfurling is before the game??? What time does that show start? TIA
  4. Josh Schache is worse than English. Jury still out on JUH
  5. Dont like the Wed evening slot, but it is what it is. Will head down to the Duke after work for a bite to eat and a couple of frosties, then off to the ground early because I too do not trust the new ticketing system. More beers in the Betty Cuthbert bar will ease the nerves Go Dees!

Please can this thread be cleaned up, mods? How embarrassing
  7. I think the AFL want the issue resolved any way they can, regardless of protocols. Whatever it takes
  8. Why no Steven May? Is it because of hammy injuries? If that is so, there are plenty in that team with injury concerns

Forgive me if previously mentioned. Is main the reason for the app bar code as opposed to a bar code on the old membership card for contact tracing, if that makes sense? Or is the AFL just trying to move ticketing onto smart phones for data?

FMD I hoped Cerra would become a Dee and I was confident the club could've found a way if he told his manager to make it happen. But, alas.

Ok then, we're doing brilliantly on all fronts and there's no need for improvement! Better than the Hawks and Pies. And no, of course I'm not saying you said that My tribe would love a smaller club family day on top of the day at the G, and we'd bring other kids and spend more $, but that is anecdotal, just like your family story The day at the G was great for the club, on that we can all agree Over and out

Put your creative hat on daisycutter. There are many ways we could approach it. Fans know that mingling isn't going to happen Once again, the Hawk are one step ahead: https://www.hawthornfc.com.au/news/1046029/hawthorn-season-launch-and-family-day Even the Pies are doing something: https://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/news/1057679/hot-pies-summer-family-night Opportunity lost

Yet we did a Premiership celebration at the G with 30,000 fans Perhaps the club could've been creative and set up a family day that wasn't as up close and personal as past events Or used technology to make an event that could involve players and families. Not ideal, but better than no engagement Would be interesting to know what other clubs are currently doing to encourage fresh, young fans. Anyone got any info on this? How come my kids and I can watch Norf train at Arden St and chat with players over the fence but I can't get near Melbourne's training or players?
  14. Yes, I believe we haven't done much for some time, if at all, but it is definitely a zone shared with us. Opportunity lost. We've done a lot right in the last year, junior involvement is one aspect we can improve upon if we wish to stay in the Casey region
  15. My understanding is that the saints have done less than us and we share parts of that zone/league
  16. SMJFL is the larger one. I believe it is in our catchment, though post pandemic anything could have changed You're asking me if I have data on children and where they live??? Only the league would have that and guard it closely, as they should. Even if it is de-personalised I'm telling you that a good sized junior league is more likely than not to play on the 6 Dingley ovals that Hawthorn control. Not for certain, but won't be playing on Casey ovals. Hawks have done a lot of work with them. Its a fantastic opportunity that we did not take advantage of. Those kids, their siblings and parents will get HFC merch and access to players. Fish in a barrel stuff. No one is saying we don't do anything, but this is a good example of a junior league in our catchment that we didn't do enough with As you say, we have a a good future fund, we have the money, hopefully we are using more of it to get young kids involved with the club. They are our future, not old f@rts like us I'll leave you to keep the discussion going, I've made my point. Its easy to argue the small stuff, harder to talk constructively about further improving our position, which is what this thread should be about I don't have the answers, I'm obviously not a MFC insider, but I think we could do more
  17. Twice in last quarter I watched Carlton players hold arms out and question free kicks against them. No 50m penalty. The Tmac free and goal 25m out was one. If Gil is to put new rules in he must ensure they are applied consistently. Zero tolerance means zero.
  18. Andy Maher and Dave Hughes will be wetting their pants with delight over this result
  19. You're a funny guy. Can you name a junior league near Casey we have put significant work into? That we have won over? There are two that I know of in our catchment area. The largest which represents 1000s of boys and girls looks like being lured by Hawthorn to their huge Dingle facility with little resistance from us. The entire league, that is, playing on Hawthorn ovals. A massive win for the Hawks. My understanding is that the league has had little contact from us I'm sure HFC sponsors would love to supply club merch to those kids and their siblings The other smaller junior league we have put very little work into Sometime just winning a GF isn't enough to generate new, young supporters
  20. Looking forward to watching the guys who have been pine sitting come on in the 2nd half
  21. Like all of these new rules, they come out hard, pay it at every opportunity, and then ease off as the negative press and club complaints roll in
  22. Taj got plenty of it to be amongst our best, according to afl.com.au Weid 4 to half time then rested for tonights game
  23. Sure, but what evidence do you have that this isn't being done, given that its only a few months since we won a flag, $2mill+ profit, our membership is 25% up, sponsorship is up, merch sales went through the roof, key players are re-signing long deals, etc Are things tracking down in your eyes? Are there MFC staff fractures? No one is asking you to give detailed info that you claim to have, no need for photos involving goats, but surely you can supply more than a couple of innuendo hand grenades. You've replied to many on here, so you are clearly interested in this info coming out. Until there's more info out, you'll just get the same outraged posters trying to shut the thread down Dish it up in a riddle, if you like 🤣🤣🤣 As I said, I usually enjoy reading your posts
  24. Usually a fan of your intel Mach5, particularly around trade time. However, this 'I know something that you don't and I'm not going to tell' malarkey is tiresome and looks like you are deliberately provoking reactive demonlanders with the most buttons to press, which has been the result. Hope you're having fun Btw, I was under the impression that wild rumours without substantiation were not permitted on this site???
  25. $225mill??? That's some very expensive cup holders in every seat
