FMD, is this what we've become? Not a dig at you at all W45, but honestly, what a tangled web we've woven

The Abel Tasmans Hobart Hoes Tassie Kissing Cousins Tassie pinots (sponsor naming rights)

Tassie Piners, Tassie Thylacines, Tassie Wombats, Tassie Penguins Tassie Devils Still think relocating North Melb and calling them the Tassie Kangaroos is the best option

True, but some might say that we can only go on the strength of his latest offering. So the big question is: does he hold his place? Goody seems reluctant to make too many changes to a winning team and we have BBB and Lever to come in this week, clearly part of our best 22. Is it Tmac and Hunt out? When Salem and Petty are ready it will be another selection dilemma A good place to be, especially with the ever-present threat of covid surprises.

Surely it's a given that the Club and every Dees supporter would prefer to keep Dogga if possible. He loves the group and we've had some good re-signings over the last 12-18 months It's also a given that if Dogga did decide a move to another club we would do the very best we could to maximise our reward from any deal. Of late we have an excellent track record of recruiting/drafting the right players for our list. Does anyone not have confidence in our FD to achieve one of these outcomes? At the moment, to me this is all that matters The rest is fugazi, as Goody might say

Said pre game to my mate that if the Weid kicks 4 does he hold his place. If so, who's spot does he take when BBB comes back? We concluded it would be Tmac. However, Weid is similar to BBB in that he mostly works from goal inside 50. Tmac has the aerobic capacity to work high and deep, and he can play back. Will be an interesting dilemma for the selection committee this week. I suspect Weid will go back to Casey. But I hope not.

How important is luck in influencing a result?

Noticed after the siren when players were hand shaking that Bont was having a serious word with Oliver and then Tracc. Looked a bit p**sed off, appart from losing the game, that is Any lip readers out there that can translate for me?

I reckon Gil/AFL exec wants North or Saints to go to Tassie. Still call them NM or StK for a year or two, claim it's just playing home games there for $. Then it becomes permanent and the name changes. Tassie Kangas or Tassie Saints. A lot of detail and nuance to play out, but there's something in the air

FFS, stop it with the Dogga speculation It's hard enough that we are eagerly anticipating his re-signing without the nervous-nellie talk let it go, please
-
Very true. I knew a recruiter at an AFL club during Schache's draft year. He said Schache was amazingly uncompetitive for a guy his size.
-
I'm assuming the flag unfurling is before the game??? What time does that show start? TIA

Josh Schache is worse than English. Jury still out on JUH

Dont like the Wed evening slot, but it is what it is. Will head down to the Duke after work for a bite to eat and a couple of frosties, then off to the ground early because I too do not trust the new ticketing system. More beers in the Betty Cuthbert bar will ease the nerves Go Dees!

Please can this thread be cleaned up, mods? How embarrassing
-
I think the AFL want the issue resolved any way they can, regardless of protocols. Whatever it takes
-
Why no Steven May? Is it because of hammy injuries? If that is so, there are plenty in that team with injury concerns
-
Forgive me if previously mentioned. Is main the reason for the app bar code as opposed to a bar code on the old membership card for contact tracing, if that makes sense? Or is the AFL just trying to move ticketing onto smart phones for data?

FMD I hoped Cerra would become a Dee and I was confident the club could've found a way if he told his manager to make it happen. But, alas.

Ok then, we're doing brilliantly on all fronts and there's no need for improvement! Better than the Hawks and Pies. And no, of course I'm not saying you said that My tribe would love a smaller club family day on top of the day at the G, and we'd bring other kids and spend more $, but that is anecdotal, just like your family story The day at the G was great for the club, on that we can all agree Over and out
-
Put your creative hat on daisycutter. There are many ways we could approach it. Fans know that mingling isn't going to happen Once again, the Hawk are one step ahead: https://www.hawthornfc.com.au/news/1046029/hawthorn-season-launch-and-family-day Even the Pies are doing something: https://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/news/1057679/hot-pies-summer-family-night Opportunity lost
-
Yet we did a Premiership celebration at the G with 30,000 fans Perhaps the club could've been creative and set up a family day that wasn't as up close and personal as past events Or used technology to make an event that could involve players and families. Not ideal, but better than no engagement Would be interesting to know what other clubs are currently doing to encourage fresh, young fans. Anyone got any info on this? How come my kids and I can watch Norf train at Arden St and chat with players over the fence but I can't get near Melbourne's training or players?

Are we capitalising on our on-field successes?
Stiff Arm replied to Mach5's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yes, I believe we haven't done much for some time, if at all, but it is definitely a zone shared with us. Opportunity lost. We've done a lot right in the last year, junior involvement is one aspect we can improve upon if we wish to stay in the Casey region
