  1. Sounds like you are describing Reid! Think it will be a moot point, reckon if 1 is traded it will end up at gws. The AFL will love that
  2. Our 3 x 1sts would be about 4, 16 and 16 (2024). Still have Freo's 22 and our second plus later picks. Doubt we'll use four picks (4, 16, 22, 34) plus a late pick on young Brown For Jake Lever we paid 2 x 1st (10 and 16, I think) Pick 1 swapped for 4, 16, 16 isn't that bad a deal if Tayor considers Reid to be the stand out best player. So, Reid, picks 22 & 34 and Brown. Not bad. Imagine Reid developing alongside Tracc and Max 😉
  3. I like Tommo in the backline, he hit form vs Coll and has been playing very well at Casey. Too good not to have as one of our 3 tall backs Whist Petty is a good player, he has been injury prone this year. Get him cherry ripe for finals. Unlike others, I think there's still much potential for him as a key forward Should Tommo cement a spot with form in the next few weeks it's a great problem to have finals W1. Look at the Pies. Their depth is such that they have good players in form dropped to the magoos. And their culture under Fly has this working
  4. Whilst we all call the current set up a fixture rather than a draw, I don't see the need to drastically change something that ain't necessarily broke. 20-something games, a bye before finals and then the current finals system. Seems to work ok to me Change to a 17+6 and some sort of round robin finals is playing with 🔥
  5. Yes exactly, won't happen
  6. Wouldn't be the first time Goody has brought in a youngster due to injury who has subsequently flourished. Petty himself was brought in with little experience after Thommo went down. Bowser too, after an injury (Hunt?). Not comparing those players ability with Adams', just that the pick and development faith in Taylor, Lamb and Goodwin is well deserved
  7. Reasonable batsman, I reckon. But doesn't know when to stay in his crease. Most unusual for a keeper to get stumped!
  8. Been a long time since I've seen an experienced keeper have this terrible a test series. The contrast between he and Alex Carey could hardly been more striking

Flemington Racecourse is on Crown land. There are pockets within the boundary that were owned by the VRC, but by and large, they have been sold to developers for high rise apartments or high density, overpriced housing
  10. I've stayed at the Art House backpackers before. Just near the ground. Their single rooms were pretty good, and I'm not a backpackers type of person
  11. Or maybe they can't wait to get out of there...
  12. That's twice against Brisbane this year that we've thrown caution into the wind and played daring, skillful footy when all looked lost in the last. Imagine if we did that for longer periods during games? An important learning to take out of this win
  13. Big shout out to Joel Smith. Makes the most of his limited opportunities, keeps putting his hand up, great versatility. Every time he goes for the ball I get flashbacks to the old man Should've come on as soon as Petty's back went.
  14. I apologize the the random guy in front of me at the game whom I hugged after the siren...
  15. The only team to have beaten both Collingwood and Brisbane this year! ❤️💙
  16. Care to elaborate @picket fence? "Rest Clarry and Fritta for the rest of the year till the new coach takes over. SHIZZEN GOODY NO FRIGGEN IDEA "
  17. Never in doubt
  18. Immense last quarter from Viney and Gawn. Immense!
  19. Brisbane forward line is doing everything we SHOULD be doing. Open, leading forwards, kicking well, connection with mids
  20. So much for the theory that Brisbane can't play outside of the Gabba
  21. It will be a good day when we can develop a smallish forward who can run hard all game like Nibbler, tackle like Nibbler, but make good decisions, kick well and not fumble below the knees constantly. So frustrating
  22. ANB the turnover king
  23. Spargopants!!!
  24. Wouldn't that cause a complete meltdown in Casa di Picket!

When playing for Casey, I hope they play Brodie as a forward. Let the young rucks develop as rucks and Grundy develop as a forward
