  1. I recall a few years ago one of our players talking about how they all constantly manage blisters on their feet. Some of the mids have numerous blisters most of the season, such is the amount of running they do. I would suggest Clarry gets enough of the ball to have blisters covering his hands!
  2. Had you showered during the previous week, Rab? Might explain things, just saying... 😄
  3. Agreed. I think I heard Razer on SEN (yeah, I know...) say that there were about 5 or 6 different outcome interpretations from a tackle, all decided within a fraction of a second. Duck head, drop knees, shrug shoulder, ball knocked out, no prior, two steps before tackle, fend off, side step, and so on I think I remember the Spargo forward pocket too high free on Friday was paid by the umpire in the centre of the ground, the other 3 field umpires were closer than him! Having four umps seems to make it more confusing
  4. No rage on my part mate, clearly you're angry that someone has a football view different from yours. There was no name calling or hissy fitting in what I wrote, anyway The difference is my post on JVRs game played the ball, but you appear to be more interested in name calling and playing the man Have a great evening! Cheers
  5. Not to win a game, more so for arguable frees to not decide a game. I hate seeing high contact frees for ducks, dropping knees, lifting the wing, plowing through packs head first, tilting the head back in exaggeration. Happens every week, we do it too. Especially prevalent by small forwards looking for a cheap goal. Somehow they've got to create a disincentive to play for high frees. Some guy is going to end up in hospital after stupidly ducking his head. It's a tough enough game to umpire as it is. While we are at it, wtf is it with the pushing out in a marking contest??? It's not holding ground, it's pushing an opponent out of the contest ffs! Tell clubs it's not on and pay the free, it will be gone in two weeks. And player blocks in a marking contest are almost as annoying. Max got about 70 blocks on Fri night! Rant over
  6. Do the clubs get anything out of the food and beverage sales or is it just the gate takings?
  7. Congrats to the young man. Didn't think he was going to get it, but very pleased for him. Hope he has a day out against the Pies
  8. The post before... Maybe you should practice what you preach then. Greatest hypocrisy I have read on this site.
  9. This a game worth 8 premiership points Win and we're back in the hunt for top 2. Lose and we are a strong chance to miss out on top 4
  10. The fewer the injuries the better the chance of winning the flag. Moore and NDaicos do hammies or concussion during finals and the pies look shakey. Butters and Wines. Neale and Dunkley. Oliver and Petracca. Bont and English. Cameron and Danger 2021 was the beautiful, perfect storm for us
  11. All good, will be interesting to watch you [censored] your pants on KB. I'll bring a spare pair for you on the day 😄
  12. Don't believe anyone has claimed that. Hyperbole much?
  13. Of course you will. I'll give you a wink while it happens
  14. Pickett turned 22 yesterday, he tweeted that your lack of birthday wishes has been noted 🤣
  15. Such a tiresome stat that actually shows how we beat up on lowly teams and struggle against top 8 teams. Following your logic you must be thrilled with our scores of 76, 72 and 61 in the last three weeks, lol We have Coll, Cats at Geelong, Saints, Brisbane and Adelaide coming up, reality check time. Win all those and I'll bare my rrrse in Bourke St
  16. Thanks deeluded. Good to see you back
  17. We've had 8 months to get our forward line functioning better than last season, for no gain
  18. Maybe, but the speed and skill at which Coll rebound will make May, Lever and Tommo poo their pants. Those guys tend to fumble, spill easy marks and lay clumsy tackles when under immense pressure. May is hopeless below his knees, Lever a butter fingers for marks when worried and Tommo works in slo mo. Great against a crappy side, not so much against top 4 sides
  19. Pleasing from him, but 16 disp and 1 goal isn't a rising star nomination
  20. Darcy Moore will be cracking up at the thought of rebounding from our long bomb forward line. My money's on him breaking the record for intercept marks
  21. Agree. As good as Kozzie is, he could be so much better if he cut out the late hits and clumsy high jump attempts. He was very quiet after quarter time
  22. You think that brand stacks up against Collingwood next week? The only thing positive from last night was the 4 points. We're lucky Carlton are a [censored] house side
  23. FMD! Is it compulsory for us to hold up the ball until the forward line is super crowded? The long bombs are killing us. What hope have Roo, Fritter or Grawndy got when it's 6 players up... Looked good the few times we went in fast without a crowd, switched the angles, lowered the eyes, not over used.
  24. Interesting that Cyril Rioli is amongst the complainants. Explains his reluctance to return to the club
  25. News just coming out... https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/afl-does-deal-with-families-to-end-hawthorn-investigation-20230530-p5dclq.html
