  1. Very true, except that there's an element of value towards them wanting to play together, assuming that is the case. Different circumstances, but the Daicos boys are a good example of this. Genuinely love playing together If jnr VR is good, I reckon we might put added work into him
  2. Comparisons of previous draft pick successes are a folly. Drafts are a case by case, year by year proposition. What happened 5 or 10 years ago is 99.9% irrelevant to this years draft. The key is that Taylor and Lamb are proven experts. What they get done will be the right thing for us, whether it be three x 1st rounders for Reid, or we keep the picks, or something in-between
  3. Wardlaw might debut as well. Those two and LDU should be A+ graders in years to come
  4. Or... who's next to have an inter office affair?
  5. And we snaffled a 2 x AA ruck to replace Dogga for about the same coin as we would've paid him!
  6. I can't believe he's not butter!
  7. Love Warner or hate him, that book graphically illustrates the corrupt, incestuous nature of the AFL executive They were never going to appoint someone from outside the boys' club. Never
  8. How the heck did the clubs below pick 4 not nominate Daicos, regardless of being a certain Pie? Blind freddie could see he was the best in the draft. Shifty deals?
  9. I trust Taylor and Lamb. They have the runs on the board. 5 +18 +18 would be a steal for pick 1 If they think Reid is A+++ and worth 3 x first rounders, I'm all for it. We still have Freo's 2nd (23-25) and our 2nd (32-36). If Kynan Brown is seen as a pick around 22-25, I'd like us to swap both the 2nds this year to move inside that. In: Reid + pick 20 + Kynan Brown Out: 2023 picks 5, 18, 24, 35, 3rd+4th (for Brown), 2024 pick 17 or 18 Delicious!!! *Estimated pick order, obviously
  10. Don't think you'd be saying that if you were a veteran (assuming you are not). I know several veterans, some march, others prefer not to. None of them are a grinch about the day like you
  11. Umpires working full time??? They're not elite athletes learning and training to execute the same skills by foot and hand as the players How much prep do they need for the weekend's game/s? Happy to pay them more, but not sure they are anywhere near the same level as the players in terms of importance
  12. We will never know. Fortunately Max kicked straight!
  13. But no need for a 50 as it was a goal. Note last night the 50 wasn't paid until it was clear the kick wasn't a goal
  14. Adelaide zero injuries, Burgo's second year in. If Selwyn proves as good, we are in capable hands
  15. Fox/Kayo is better for pre game, between quarters and post game. Not as much mindless rubbish, but still too blokey
  16. But Lever WAS inside 5m zone behind the mark. He ran up just behind McVee on the mark as the ball was kicked. It was a howler by Lever, defence 101 brain fart However, the umpiring in general last night was poor
  17. Fantastic money earner for the club. Let's hope we get a similar turn out for KB against the Pies

  19. Loved the one hander off Gawn's hands. A 'Van Gawnen' mark!

Find it difficult to believe Sydney can play this poorly. Are they doing a Hansie Cronje?

Bitter but optimistic, you are the Sir Les Patterson of Demonland Vale Barry Humphries.
  22. Breaking news! More vision of 'Fists of Fury' Lever has just been released. Watch out Tiger forwards!
  23. Fists of fury Lever!
  24. When we lose, it is clear we are horribly out-coached. Scott did his homework on us and it worked
  25. Hard to find winner for us. McVee, Tracc, and Petty's 3rd qtr Chandler and Viney have worked hard
