  1. Gates open at 4pm. There’s a curtain raiser after which the Flag unfurling ceremony will take place (at around 6:45pm). The Demon Army will be sitting in Bays 5/6/7 on the upper deck, behind the goals in the Legends stand. Hanksy’s 50th and her first game as VC. Sneak peek… 🏆 🏆🏆🏆 ❤️💙🏆🏆🏆🏆
  2. If Fritta is a late out next week it will be due to something that happens between now and next Thursday. Other than that, he’s absolutely fine to play.
  3. I believe so. I can’t imagine Clint (Stanaway) would tweet something so “secretive” when everyone knows his dad works closely with the players, and expect to go unnoticed. This begs the question… won’t Collingwood know they’re related and therefore know this is subterfuge? Who knows. That’s my take on it, anyways. This time next week the Fritatta will be looking to kick a hatful again, as @layzie would say. 😁👍🏽❤️💙
  4. No one has seen him in a moonboot. Just sayin’
  5. Love your optimism, Pf. Got us down for a spot in the granny already. 😁 Grand final week… not sure it’d be an open session. Although we’ve been told that after next Wednesday’s session there’s a couple more BBQs to be held at training sessions, we just don’t know when. Of course, this depends on how far we go into finals. Last year we did one before the second final and sadly didn’t need to do another (for the men’s anyways).
  6. Soz but I’ve already got dibs on this job once Reece Conca resigns. Reece told me this himself. 🤪
  7. Jake’s 200th game is memorable to me because when he ran out he was so proud he seemed 10ft tall. It was a delight to see. I thought about the disgusting, belittling comments on here - which were legion at the time - and was happy he didn’t seem aware of such bile, and from his team’s own fans, no less. But that was then. Now he’s getting the love and support that he’s always deserved. Let’s never do this to one of our own again. ❤️💙
  8. 🙋‍♀️ I accidentally bought a kilometre of ribbon in 2021. I’ve long since run out since I take some with me to every match and oftentimes a little DA member will come down the front to say hello and go back to her parents with red n blue ribbons in her hair. 😁 No such thing as too much red n blue ribbon.
  9. Too soon, Kat. TOO SOON. 😭 Imho one should hold off decorations until the week leading up to the grand final. In 2018 I spent a king’s ransom on decorations and pimped my house out before the prelim and there’s nothing more depressing than taking down decorations (at night so the neighbours don’t see you) while crying (softly so the neighbours don’t hear you). BTW, someone started a thread leading up to the 2021 GF called “Flying the Flag” which is the same as this. Maybe the mods can merge?
  10. Apparently there’s a curtain raiser at 4pm. Our match starts at 7:20pm so I’d guess that the unfurling ceremony will take place between the two matches. I’ll find out, and confirm. Confirmed: around/just after 6:45pm
  11. Doubt if last year’s finals campaign ended in misery due to an open training session. 🤔

  13. Not sure you’d relish babysitting these dogs, Jaded. Two of them have to be separated 24/7. One of them is Nat’s (his girlfriend) dog and one is his (blended dog family) and her dog will kill his dog if given the chance. This almost happened on Xmas eve when someone inadvertently left a door open and they ended up spending Xmas morning at emergency. ☹️ Fritta will comment to Nat that her dog is mean, to which she’ll reply, “your dog’s a wuss!” 😂
  14. I bet your kids also cut sick at you for using this word. 🙃
  15. He visited his mum on Monday and definitely wasn’t wearing one. As she said, he was “going about his life in the usual way” as on any other day off. Sorry @Jaded No More… I told her to tell him to lie down and do nothing until next Thursday as per your request but unfortunately his five dogs ain’t having a bar of it. 😁 Pauline said maybe the media is getting him confused with her… she’s on crutches with a broken leg. 😂
  16. It was huge! We were making the banner and it was super distracting so we decided to not think about it and instead concentrate on work. So funny to see pretty much everyone quietly sneaking regular little looks at their phones. 😁 Similarly, in 2021 DL gathered on masse to hear when Gussy got off. Same number of posters as during any of our matches. Good times. 🙂
  17. Geez, go easy. I’m just going by last year’s finals. We had opposition supporters in both M2 and M4.
  18. We’ll be in M3. M2 and M4 are mixed… both teams’ supporters. I hope there’s more Dees than Pies in these bays, especially in the aisle seats. 😩
  19. The Swans had their cheer squad behind the goals up one end. Behind the goals at other end is the Sydney Members area so we were put a few bays around from the goals, in the pocket. This is an SCG thing. This is the other ground of the two where we can’t sit behind the goals. Geelong’s cheer squad sits up one end. The other end is the construction site so no one sits behind those goals. We're situated on the wing. Apparently when construction is complete their cheer squad plans to move to that end of the ground, giving us the bay they’re in now. How bloody magnanimous of them!!! 🙄
  20. Less stressful? No different to every other week. We have the AFLW season opener this Friday night (Dees vs Pies) with the Flag unfurling beforehand. Incidentally, I hope a lot of Dees fans attend (@ Ikon, 7.20pm). The girls deserve a big crowd… they won us a premiership! PS: Good luck to Fishy this Saturday! PPS: What is ‘Fishy’?
  21. Yep. Just that age group… that age group alone. Pfft, nobody older than that.
  22. I reckon your kids cut sick at you when they hear you say “cut sick” Also, “mint” socks? Meaning they’re new, or they’re mint coloured? Also, geez it’s gonna be a LONG nine days before our next match.
  23. Yeah, it’s not something he’d like being discussed on a public forum. Anyways, he’s almost back to 100% because he’s a Fritsch and warp speed healing’s their thang 😁
