I agree with you, and I know the difference between Cripps’ and Gussy’s cases. But before Cripps got off I thought there was no way possible he would. But he did. And I fear this time they’ll have some sort of loophole that none of us foresee. Although it’d have to be some sort of loophole, Maynard’s name isn’t partway etched on a Brownlow. 🙄

Because that’s what we fear will happen, and that fear is warranted. Cripps getting off last year means every subsequent appeal is highly likely to be successful despite how ridiculous it is.

Ugh, this makes me sick. To call a player by his nickname during a lighthearted report is fine; but even if Barrett genuinely believes Maynard did nothing wrong, just the fact a player was rendered unconscious and may be forced to retire prematurely, should be reason enough for Barrett to tread gently. At best he’s inconsiderate, at worst he’s an insensitive pig.

I posted on another thread that a DA buddy at Gosch’s this morning asked Max how Gussy is doing. Max replied, “Not good.”

QF banner… OUR RED AND BLUE ARMY WILL OUTCLASS THE REST DEESTROYING OPPONENTS LIKE DEMONS POSSESSED THE DEMON JUGGERNAUT ROLLING INTO SEPTEMBER We received a shipment of crepe and this is the darkest blue they’ve sent us. We’ve had some shades that look more like green and some that look like purple, so although this looks black in some pics at least it’s blue, albeit a very dark blue. Also the word “OUTCLASS” was in the original slogan. After positioning the letters (at Wednesday night’s banner sesh) the Club told us to change it to “ECLIPSE” (maybe because “outclass” implies that Collingwood has some class, even if only a microscopic amount 😂). Then just after we’d positioned “ECLIPSE” they changed it back to “OUTCLASS.” Luckily with both changes we’d yet to tape the letters down. #BannerSnags

I really wouldn’t read too much into today’s training session. I’m not saying I think it was just for S&Gs but the fact that it’s an *open session, it’s a short session and the players are signing autographs etc. tells me that maybe it shouldn’t be taken too seriously, by us fans anyways. * an open session means cameras are there. As is the wont of our Club, outsiders will see only what the Club wants them to see. 😉

🤔 Isn’t it only called a man-crush when it’s a man crushing on another man? Regardless, not crushing on BBB in any way, shape or form. But unashamedly adore him. Everyone in the DA does and for very good reason.

I’m so not gonna go there, B-B-P. I was lambasted for even mentioning that there’s one player who is eternally rude to us, and that’s without saying his name. 😩

That’s because he is. 💕 Ben does so many good things off-field without making it known. He’s kind and caring, totally selfless and he’s the nicest person you could ever hope to meet. He listens and is genuinely interested in whatever’s being discussed and he remembers stuff you’ve told him. I can’t sing his praises enough. He’s a very special person.

I’ve personally received thanks for our work on the banners from BBB, Melksy and Ricky Lever, as well as from Richo, Perty and of course Kate. We don’t seek/expect thanks but it’s really nice when it happens. ❤️💙

It’s for both. We make them for the players and we enjoy making them. I don’t know if every player reads them but I’ve seen many of them looking up at the banner as they run out. The banner is also where the players congregate until every one of them is on the field (my favourite part). They jump up and down and pump each other up and smile or otherwise acknowledge us as we’re screaming encouragement like crazy people. All this while our song is playing. Im sure the players appreciate it. I know our girls appreciate the banners because they’ve told us, many times.
