Training Ground?
The only thing you can fault the club for atm and it's the final piece. The clock is ticking, clubs are overtaking us in this space already and the heavyweight clubs just keep getting bigger. Whilst we're in our window, this needs to happen and every year without an announcement sets us further behind the clubs that have consolidated new facilities and home-bases. I didn't mind Lyon's thoughts on a move down to the Peninsula either...

Anthony Munkara
Some of the oppo in those highlights look like they're from Divy 4 ressies in the Amo's and whilst he looks to have some moves, I can't see him going in the ND. Rookie if he's lucky!

Do the Dees have the pieces to make another premiership tilt?
Do we have the pieces?! We won the thing 13 months ago! How's the Sun going these days..

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
Scarily similar to Watts' second efforts at this same point which is too much of a warning sign imo. Looks neat, moves well but I can't see that competitive streak that we desperately need in a key forward. Especially given we have Brown, Fritsch and now Schache who all lack that defensive appetite and those strong defensive habits. It's a no from me.

Welcome to Demonland Pick 13
Yep, love the look of him too but reckon he'll be out of our reach and go top 3.

What are we thinking draft gurus? @spirit of norm smith @Pennant St Dee

Welcome to Demonland Pick 37
Was going to say the same. I think that's the best move for us. 13 and an early second for this year's draft and next year we're in a ridiculous position draft-wise for a condending side. Let JT work his magic.

2022 List and Contract Details
From Prelim in '18 to rock bottom in 19 and then a flag in 21. Goody has enough credit points clearly to remain at the helm He had to adapt before we won the flag. And he did. He knows now he'll have to do it again and he will. Have faith.

2022 Trade Report Card
We upgraded our outs with the ins. I would say all of them are upgrades, even Schache slightly for his versatility. And we absolutely raked in a draft pick haul that gives us so much to work with at next year's draft. How can you not be happy with that. Tinker with our game plan, have a solid year injury-wise and we'll be contending again.

Aaron Cadman
It's not really devil's advocate. There's risk and there's risk. Every trade and draft pick has an element of risk. I'm simply talking about the trade that @spirit of norm smithput forward which sees us giving away far too much for pick 1 in a draft where the stand-out player is a mid and is gone. And as good as Cadman looks, I'm not sure one can say he's streets ahead of the other key forwards in this years draft. The risk is too great for that imo and if you take a look at the best key forwards around the comp, only a small percentage would have been taken in the top 3. Off the top of my head none of Hawkins, J Cameron, Curnow, McKay, Larkey, Wright, King brothers were even top 5 etc. There'd be plenty more.

Cadman is not the best player in this draft and it's arguable that he's top 5 so it'd be a ridiculously silly move to trade all those picks out for pick 1 this year. Yes he's good. And at 18's level has shown to be the best key. Not by a lot though. I think we just stick with 13 and then hit next year with some aggressive pick trading.

Welcome to Demonland Pick 13
I say we turn our attention to the 2023 draft try to get two picks inside 10 if possible. Or one inside 5 and one inside 15. Operation land Zane Duursma. I would do anything for him.

Welcome to Demonland Josh Schache
10 times less capable ? One couldn't split their careers to date.

Welcome to Demonland Josh Schache
Don't mind it. If Weed is leaving we need depth and has still got a lot of time on his side. I know he's shown diddly squat so far but could be a free hit and depth. We'd be paying very little for him.

Farewell Luke Jackson
It's a consideration for clubs every year.. But if you've created a great list and environment, and are competing for a flag then you simply back your people to be able to hold onto interstate players. All well run clubs who are competing would back their environment. It becomes more risky if you're a rabble, so more consideration must be taken. It'd be an interesting case study but I imagine the strong clubs would almost always keep their interstate players (as long as they were entrenched in the best 22) except for some unprecedented scenarios ala the drug saga at West Coast influencing Judd's decision to return home. I can't be effed doing the research but someone might!
