  1. Where’s all the money going from the freed up cap space?
  2. I have to agree. Two premiership players and an AA out the door. Another premiership player retirees, and so far we have a young ruckman that Lion’s fans couldn’t wait to see the back of. Supposedly this was going to be a massive trade period for us. Even if we land McAdam, the list has not improved one bit and the Casey stocks are almost bare
  3. How bad is his foot injury? Is he likely to start the season, does anyone know?
  4. Anyone see Clarries latest post. Is there something cryptic in the comment to JUH? It’s kind of odd. I can’t post the screen shot, as it says file is too large
  5. That’s very confide. Woewodin is an out the only one of those you listed that I think can elevate to best 22 next year. Laurie is undersized, and I’m not sure he cracks the team, especially if Spargo plays the way he did in the final. Turners first half Vs Sydney was awful. There isn’t much else at Casey atm, let’s be real. Look at their BNF
  6. Nail on the head. And when we had midfield issues, we went back to Harmes ahead of Dunstan, despite Dunstans strong VFL form. Now we have traded Harmes and Dunstan has retires 🤯
  7. Brown’s knee is cooked and TMac has met Father Time in a hurry. He was completely ineffectual. He can’t move
  8. McAdam and Fullerton are fringe at best. Seriously. We have done very little to date to improve the list. There is time to get something done, but there was a lot of talk about our exceptional draft hand and how we might use it. If we think we are in our window, we have done very little to improve ourselves and address needs so far. We don’t appear to be after experienced players, or we haven’t leaked yet
  9. My biggest concern is we have lost a lot of depth and still have Ben Brown, Tom McDonald and Jake Melksham on the list. None of them are playing senior football in 2024. We are essentially playing with three less players, and might get 3 in the draft. I’m super confused. Add Schache to the list, a bloke we re-signed for another year, who wasn’t good enough to come on as a sub. I cannot work it out. Is the club overrating its list? We are a few key injuries away from being a 12-14 side with the current list we have assembled
  10. Future Second, which we probably give for McAdam, as we just sent pick 27 and 35 to GC. It’s odd for now
  11. Folded and took about what they offered when we said no. Strange
  12. So, we trade Petty for a medium forward who is 28, after Petty proved to be our best option forward in the back end of 2023. We have for an aging McAdam a non-existent KPF structure and we cough up a bright young prospect for McAdam, a regular SANFL player. Right now, we have had two premiership players walk out the door for very little. We have lost Hibberd to retirement. Another premiership player. If we are in the window, like we think we are, you can't lose that much depth and top up with draft picks, who are unlikely to impact AFL for 3-4 years. We have Gawn and May for 2 years. We don't have multiple campaigns left. We bombed the last two. I trust our recruiting and trade team, as they have come good every year, but as always mid trade period, we look to be having a fire sale, before we bring in a flurry of talent. My issue is though, the last few seasons we have gone with some downgrades. Schache and Dunstan are two that come to mind. If we are serious about challenging next year, we need something in the midfield and a KPF -trading Petty is fine, if you have that KPF lined up - which we DO NOT! Not even close. Nothing in the market and according to Goody it's not a priority. He says we have that already in Petty. Well, if he goes for picks, then we are in real strife
  13. Is this being live-streamed this year?
  14. I've been hearing this Oliver rumour from numerous trusted sources. He was bloody close to departing for Carlton not long ago. It would have to be a hugely beneficial deal for the MFC for me to be anything less than completely peeed off. It has the potential to cause massive ripple effect through the club. How would Trac feel about it?
  15. How many months away is the fixture away from release?
  16. They give players house and land packages on the surf coast area. Well known. The have a board member who owns the business
  17. I feel like a bad supporter, as I don’t even know who Jed Adams is. Not trying to be smart either. Genuinely had to look him up.
  18. Is Tayla Harris injured?
  19. Just replying to the OP, who obviously the “it’s a grand old flag” part of the song as a second verse, not chorus - unless they are looking for a different answer?
  20. Oh the team played fine in the year ‘39 We’re the demons that no one can lick, lick, lick and you’ll find us there at the final bell with spirit of 26, six, six, six
  21. I noticed that too. Went the hug and the kiss. Was real creepy and weird. Maybe a little history there, who knows. She looked uncomfortable
  22. Spot on. He slipped over all night and made several basic skill errors. His kicking was bloody awful. The Collingwood game was the same
  23. Pick 6 or 7 for 170cm small forward is a no for me. We need an elite midfielder who can deliver inside 50. The way we are entering inside 50 means this bloke would be completely useless. We either kick to the opposition or to a position where it is easily belted away, effectively clearing danger of a roving small forward.
  24. Just brought myself to watch the replay. Geeez that last kick from Viney was an absolute shocker. On so many levels. He ignored the handball to Trac. That was mistake one. Then had Smith over the top of weitering or Kozzie one on one ahead inside 50, he mongrels the [censored] out of it and puts it on weiterings chest. It really is one of the great clangers of all time. Too much going on in his mind and tried to be too cute. The long ball inside 50 most likely would have resulted in a boundary throw in and time to look it in our forward 50. That loss has to burn for an entire summer. We need to get the forwardline settled and bring a few in and shift some dead wood. Man oh man we blew it for ourselves
