  1. Completely agree to be honest. See a few posters have laughed at your comment, but in a real court of law, you can’t get a fair hearing of the media has released info that may prejudice a jury. The AFL media definitely influence the MRO and Tribunal.
  2. King also reckons the Gold Coast were robbed and that umpires changed the result of the game. Highlighting 3 incidents in the last quarter, ignoring the first three. Fox Footy are a bunch of morons..
  3. Yeah spot on. Said the same on the postgame thread. Honestly, it’s so obvious. Also, the media now out for JVR, for what? A spoiling attempt? There are two camps here though. The rational one lead by Jonathan Brown, and the outraged morons led by Ralph, Purple and Jay Clark. Imagine calling for 3 weeks for that! It all started with Dunstall and Derwayne though, who wrote the entire narrative of last night’s game. They crucified him. Made up a story about his eyes not being on the ball. It’s very alarming.
  4. I said the same of Hunter and was howled down by many on here..I said that at this stage, Oskar Baker looks to have had more impact at the Dogs. Perhaps we should have persisted. Hunter is a decent player, but really is lacking in pace. His dinky kicks are hospital passes, and his one trick seems to be the handball to ground play, which is great when it works, horrendous when it doesn’t. He tries to do far too much when he has the ball.
  5. Interesting, as I would love to know what on earth Petty offers at ground level that Ben Brown doesn’t…Petty can’t hold a grab in the forward half, and is lost at ground level. He has had no idea of how to mind defensive space when the opposition have the ball. Constantly standing in no man’s land - a major reason why the Suns were able to pick their way through from their defensive half last night. They easily bounced out of defence, which was a major concern.
  6. Geez there is some wrist slashing going on here tonight. We won the game. Road trips aren’t easy, nor is any game these days. The competition is very even, save for Hawthorn and West Coast. Bank the points and move on. Ben Brown must come back in. Kicked three in the ressies. The week before he kicked 0.4. Poor conversion, but he was getting looks. JVR needs support, and Petty ain’t the answer.
  7. Dunstall is a king of creating narratives in games. Barracked hard for the suns all game. The dubious frees paid against us that resulted in goals to the Suns barely got a second mention, yet he unpacked in detail any 50/50 that went in our favour
  8. Lost all respect for him after he had a crack at David Schwartz about the 2000 GF
  9. So I assume it’s the light blue version to be worn Vs Port and the navy against the Dorkers
  10. Curious myself … I reckon there is..but I’m thinking they use the animal moniker and not the satanic one, so probably no problem
  11. Why are we wearing this in three rounds this year?
  12. No one. He will have to earn his spot back through the VFL. No way he is ahead of anyone on current form.
  13. Saturday night is a graveyard fixture these days. People have things outside of football going on in their lives. Other social events..I know tht might be hard to believe for us diehards, but it’s facts! Also, people don’t have money to go out at the moment. Increase cost of living hits people. It’s on TV, it’s 13 degrees, you can get a meal delivered, it just suits some. I too would have liked to see 40 k there, but it’s what I expected. I thought we might get 22k to be honest
  14. Dunstan and Harmes should be included to give us some fresh legs. Pickett needs to move back into the midfield to find some footy. Ben Brown, despite kicking 0.4 needs to support JVR, draw the best defender and let JVR work his craft. Petty to go back if May is injured, and give Turner a shot. Schache is another option, and must have been close tonight
  15. Little side note.. I was driving on Dandenong Rd today, at the corner of Chapel St was a large digital advertisement board, advertising this match. The only team featured on the board was Richmond. A team photo of them standing arm in arm during the last post. Has anyone seen similar advertising around for us? My question is, or gripe, why is only Richmond featured on AFL billboards. This is our home game. It made me mad.
  16. It’s my opinion. I’m entitled to it. In my view Baker is having a greater impact for the Dogs than Hunter is for the Dees. I’m saying that, Hunter has been fairly good. Just love the pace on Baker. The game opens up ahead of him when he runs, and he seems to have improved his kicking
  17. Baker is ahead of Hunter as a winger at this stage of the season. Playing really well.
  18. As much as I hope Freo lose, for the sake of our draft position, I find it almost impossible to support the Dogs. They are so looked after by umpires and have an incredibly hateable list. Bont about the only player I have time for.
  19. Lever unlikely to get up again this week. Gawn a better chance of playing.
  20. Pickett was miles off today too…did he attend any Centre bounces? He must have had a few goes in the middle..but I barely noticed him.
  21. Don’t disagree. It wasn’t a free to us. But he was motionless on the ground. The umpire didn’t check player welfare. You had Redman apologising to him. Then he notices how concussed he is and runs off him
