  1. There's always hope. And he came good eventually....
  2. I think it's more likely his silence is due to the fact that actually there's nothing going on.
  3. His frustrations are minor. Everyone's frustrations are. Who gets what they want in life? Doesn't everybody deal with frustrations? Shouldn't we all expect frustrations? What makes one persons frustrations news? Shouldn't we expect an elite athlete to be frustrated when they fail to achieve their goal despite working like a dog year after year? Nearly every single AFL player leaves the game without winning a premiership. There's a lot of frustrations out there in the footballing community.... as there are in every other walk in life. If he doesn't want to play at the Demons, he can go. If he wants to stay and build the club up again, great. If his frustrations have overcome him so deeply that he no longer wants to stay then he isn't the person many of use thought he was, and in that case good riddance. As a club we need to buck up and deal with the problems. People need to come together in the face of adversity, not pull apart. All those who want to go should go... I could keep typing this stuff out, but I sense my own frustrations flagging themselves to be more important than they really are, so I'm going to shoulder my burden and get on with the truly important stuff instead.
  4. When Fritta ran out first game looking like this was the last place on earth he wanted to be....
  5. I reckon everybody needs to suck up the pain and grow up. Winning is tough, so let's get tough. Trac unhappy that he was made to post socials? Some people are starving. Others are forced to wear bags on their heads to please a fictional being in the sky otherwise they are raped and murdered. Get a real problem, or if you insist it is a real problem, learn your lesson and do better next time. Don't like the coach? Go somewhere else. We need people who are committed to the team. etc...
  6. Been to a couple of Nth games at Marvel this season. Getting to like it. Buy a GA ticket for not much and sit behind the goals. All good.
  7. Mate, it's about his mate...
  8. Anyone got any news on Luker Kentfield? Making any progress?
  9. Stafford is Burgo's best mate. When he joined he told the Demons he'd sign a 10 year contract.....
  10. I'm 53 and I dig Katy Perry. You can get a good hour or so out of her best songs and they are all superb. Great for long drives.
  11. Wow, I had emphatically assumed the opposite. We learn something every day.... Cheers.
  12. I heard that at that time an Orange Bellied Parrot was resting on his shoulder... 🤭😏
  13. Always the same. Play slow = lose. Every time I see May hanging on to it in the goal square my heart sinks. Just sucks all the energy out of us. We are not batteries, we are human. Get the energy up and it gives you more energy, not less. We must be the dumbest team to never learn from it.
  14. Must be that bloke in the Glenhuntly shops... or else there's a network of them.
  15. Jeez, I hate Collingwood. Though there are many reasons why, one is paramount: they show all the spirit that our club doesn't. Yeah, I hate them cause I'm envious. We have to come together as a club and demand that our players play with guts week in week out, or go somewhere else.
  16. From the outside the pain appeared to go unacknowledged. Surely some kind of something - name on the banner, speech.....something....
  17. Chunky. I like him.
  18. Since the joys of Adelaide and the big win against the Cats we have lacked intensity. If not that exactly, then we have lacked intensity relative to our opponents who have come at us like bulls at the proverbial. Have we been complacent?
  19. A simple medal is fine. It's what it signifies, not how much it cost. Save the money for something worthwhile....
  20. I love North a tiny smidgeon less that I love the D's and sometimes more. Went to Arden St and stood in the outer to see the Krakouer boyz play. Unfortunately, Jim was out for some reason but Phil turned it on. So, such are my credentials – apart for the fact that I saw them play Hawks at marvel a few weeks back (bloody awful) and that Clarko went to school with my bro who played U19's and 2's for the D's in the late 80's. They were the junior stars... Any case, teams have come and gone from the VFL/AFL. Anybody miss University? Swans ain't South. Lions ain't Fitzroy. It's a gut-wrenching thought, but for the good of the comp, I wouldn't mind if Nth and the Saints were relegated to the VFL. Not put out of business, just in a different business, one that maybe they could do well in. This is a National Comp and the dollars are big, but they can't compete in it. Nth have been vastly more successful that D's over the past 60 years, but what do they have to show for their 4 premierships? Still no fans.... One thing in favor of th D's survival is that the fans are actually there.... and if so many weren't also MCC members who get virtually no benefit from joining the club, we'd have more members than we do now. Yeah, it isn't about onfield success. It's about the ability to sustain a club in a national competition. And it's about the quality of that competition. Too many teams dilutes the product. Teams that can't sustain themselves are a drag on the whole. Eh... I'm off to cry into my breaky....
  21. Petty back. McDonald forward.
  22. Lol, I'm sure they are. Let them bleed.... The NIMBY Wars.
  23. This may be a good topic to raise in the Game Plans, Tactics and all that Jazz thread...
  24. Though I know not your name, lone Demon, nor from whence you come, I salute thee....
  25. Got me.
