Training Ground?
NRL has built a new facility at Seabrook Reserve in Broady. As I understand it, they are moving there soon, along with all VIC rugby....

Throw in a free dessert option - the Petracca Palaver.

Tried Derby Thai. Yeah, absolutely chockers. Good stuff. Will go back.

Now that the "crisis" is over, I believe the time is ripe for Christian to debut on his cooking channel a new dessert of his own creation, the Petracca Palaver. It appears robust but is surprisingly delicate, and whilst certainly sweet, leaves a mildly bitter taste in the mouth.

When Faced with Adversity, You Fight Back and Win
Well said, Macca. Pull together, not apart. Grow a pair. Get better. Take the pain.

Email from Peter Lawrence
Every year there are 17 losers. We have been consistently finished higher among the losers than most. Look n the bright side: our problems aren't as bad as most teams these past years.....

A transitional year in a successful period. If we come together and show a bit of resilience, we'll be back...

Wake up, Kenty. Nearly every other club has finished below us recently. We're doing great.

Pert and Roffey - The Review Thread
I have no idea what all this is about. Haven't heard a thing.

I understand what all the hoo-hah is about, but surely things aren't as bad as they seem. We're in the midst of a highly successful period. The club is doing well and the admin is running things just fine. I suggest that instead of tearing things down, we should be accepting the way things are and hardening up a bit, showing some resilience. Yeah, it's possible things could be better, but they certainly could be a whole lot worse. Buck up Demonlanders! Knuckle down for the hard road ahead!

Training Ground?
Yeah, they do Laksas. They also do a lot of dishes that aren't the Cantonese food that most Westerners call 'Chinese Food.' So be prepared for some surprises...

Training Ground?
Ray Asian Wok. May need to book... Don't be alarmed if they lead you out the door and bundle you through a darkened entrance next door. That's the dining area. Be prepared to wait 40 mins if there's a crowd.

Training Ground?
To be truly fair to this restaurant, the food is a cut above... Ray Asian Wok. Looks small from outside but they have another storefront next door that is a dining room. Surely, the law is not aware of this, but Chinese people don't care about anything but the food. Looks like a takeaway, but you may need to book...

Training Ground?
I am moving in permanently tomorrow. Well, to Glen Huntly, next door to Caulfield the Lesser (South) and nearby Caulfield itself. A 15 min stroll passed the brand new station and that excellent Asian restaurant that looks like a takeaway but is always booked out and has Chinese food that people come for miles around to eat....

When you knew 2024 was over?
No, I meant he came good later in the season, meaning when he ran out onto the ground he looked like he wanted to be there.

There's always hope. And he came good eventually....

I think it's more likely his silence is due to the fact that actually there's nothing going on.

His frustrations are minor. Everyone's frustrations are. Who gets what they want in life? Doesn't everybody deal with frustrations? Shouldn't we all expect frustrations? What makes one persons frustrations news? Shouldn't we expect an elite athlete to be frustrated when they fail to achieve their goal despite working like a dog year after year? Nearly every single AFL player leaves the game without winning a premiership. There's a lot of frustrations out there in the footballing community.... as there are in every other walk in life. If he doesn't want to play at the Demons, he can go. If he wants to stay and build the club up again, great. If his frustrations have overcome him so deeply that he no longer wants to stay then he isn't the person many of use thought he was, and in that case good riddance. As a club we need to buck up and deal with the problems. People need to come together in the face of adversity, not pull apart. All those who want to go should go... I could keep typing this stuff out, but I sense my own frustrations flagging themselves to be more important than they really are, so I'm going to shoulder my burden and get on with the truly important stuff instead.
