  1. understand the emotion and grief behind the Maynard thing but bloody hell we are 3 wins away from a FLAG! Fire up Dees!
  2. I really hope the team have a better focus on the game ahead of us than Demonland has
  3. In some ways this has played out perfectly for Kane. That system is not working as well as it could and this now gives her a solid - and recent - case in point for creating change. I hope she doesn’t just shift chairs on the deck by replacing Christian though, the appeals process and the lawyering up that goes on needs to be picked apart. I have never understood why/how, in a private organisation such as the AFL, injunctions and appeals beyond appeals are allowed to even happen?
  4. ‘At odds with the fitness staff’ feels like an orange/red flag (given their fitness staff is Darren Burgess)
  5. Could’ve been a premiership player if you had any resilience Howe, ya bogan.
  6. From memory, Adel quickly announced him as Lever’s superior successor. I don’t even care if he’s any good - let’s get him just to give Tex grief
  7. Archie Perkins appears to be talking to other clubs… YES please.
  8. Grundy meeting Hinkley (and then getting caught out by reporters) with a huge final for the club 6 days away is a bad look and all it can do for the club is prove to be a distraction. Naive (at best) by Grundy and selfish (at worst). Two people I know (who would know) have made comments to me that his attitude since being dropped hasn’t been as good as it should have been. I understand he is upset that it isn’t working out as planned but he should be mature and experienced enough (he certainly is paid well enough) to put the club first at this stage of the year and sort everything else out at seasons end.
  9. Couldn’t think of a worse sub than Grundy
  10. Quite like this scenario, assuming that trade satisfies GC points needs then let’s do it.
  11. Not convinced that would either… 15 and our future 1st are more like top-end second rounders once you factor in AFL giveaways. I fear the asking price will be even steeper
  12. Picks 5 + 15 wouldn’t get it done.
  13. Good ruckman, yep, but he ain’t a great forward. I just can’t see him having any interest in him coming to us in his prime only to sit in the 2s until Max retires. edit; only to then make way for Kalani white when he storms onto the scene!
  14. I reckon footy fans and the media are talking themselves into believing Curtin is more prominent around that 1 position than he actually is…
  15. He was very close to being in more serious trouble but ultimately not enough in it to warrant a suspension. Play on.
  16. Who is the better lockdown defender (tall) out of disco and Tommo? Who is going to do a better job on a Daniher or a McKay (or even Cox) if they have one of those evenings where everything is sticking for them? Recognise May probably first choice but who is next best on our healthy list?
  17. Said teammate an excellent boxer also
  18. Don’t mean to cause any unnecessary concern but Steven May just posted a photo on social of him currently dining at a steak restaurant with a teammate 😬
  19. I’ve never really seen too much of GNF on DLand but appears very polarising.… What is the background there?
  20. Tommo in is fact. I was then speculating what that meant for Smith etc.
  21. Tommo playing, take that one to the bank. Which means Smith up forward and Grundy not playing (speculation).
  22. I agree they all probably would do the same, but he has unnecessarily confirmed we ACTUALLY do it. If I’m a goal umpire, I’m definitely not listening to Melbourne players if they claim they ‘touched it’ anymore whereas previously the claim may have had some weight on the decision
  23. Don’t know if covered elsewhere but Steven May sharing on radio that he has ‘instructed’ Melbourne defenders to always claim they’ve touched the ball, regardless of whether they believe that or not, is just stupid. Refreshing that he is being honest, maybe, but now every time a goal umpire sees a Melbourne player claiming the ball was touched, they will instantly be sceptical. Could cost us a soft review in our favour one day that costs us a goal (or potentially a match). Was just an unnecessary thing to say.
  24. Routine check up after the finger in question was successfully removed from his backside about a month ago. Nothing to see here
