Who would you barrack for if it came to pass? I’ve asked a few Demon-supporting mates from Tassie what they would do if that team comes in and the general response seems to be ‘would love a Tassie team to come into the comp but would still barrack for the Dees’

I also twitch a bit when I see good players linked with clubs other than mine but remember this; We’ve recently won a premiership and we’ve only just fallen out of the top 4 for the first time in something like 2 years. It appears to me that Tim Lamb and co. know what they are doing. We are also the club that doesn’t leak so how do you know we’re not in the conversation with King?

Fingers crossed Hawthorn turn their 3 picks into Gysberts, Morton and Blease types. Heck, throw in a 4th and hope they get a Strauss in there too. That would bring me a lot of happiness.

Did Pig travel up with them? I see he isn’t on the emergency list but I do worry a bit about what the plan is to shut down Charlie if he gets off the leash. My other immediate thought on this article was that it was more than a little rich for a Hawthorn supporter to ‘take the high ground’ on sticking fat with an under-performing side. Their adult-supporter base was built on late 80s/90s success !

The only thing that could have possibly made this article better was if the dorks were still playing at cold and windy Waverley and after another drubbing instead of catching a train home he had to trudge out to his car, only to be stuck in the boggy carpark for 6 hours listening to match reviews on the radio
