DRAFT DAY TWO: THE 2022 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
Surprised bids haven’t come for the Daveys after Dodoro toyed with everyone on pick 4

Dees considering big trade plays
It doesn’t feel like we’re in the box seat 24 hours after our intentions came to light

Dees considering big trade plays
There is an assumption from many that next year’s draft is a certainty to be strong. Kinnear Beatson said on a podcast that at this time last year they all thought the strength in this current crop was the talls yet today it is a widely accepted weakness in this draft. The strategy ‘may backfire’ but holding onto them may ‘backfire’ too. I think Lamb/JT and co. are better equipped and informed than Demonland to make the best call for the club.

Welcome to Demonland Pick 13
These guys are paid scouting professionals who have watched a LOT of underage footy over many years. Their employers make significant decisions based on their intel. If they are saying it is shallow then it is probably shallow

Farewell Brodie Grundy
As someone else pointed out it looks like it is part of a sponsorship with Intrepid so that kinda makes sense. Reminded me of how my dad would use Instagram if he knew what it was, which is probably why I posted my comment!

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Thanks for the tip champ

Farewell Brodie Grundy
I hope his footy is infinitely better than his social media content. Deadset cringe

AFL Delisted Free Agency Period
He’s a tall-ish inside mid.

New GM Communications?
Part of the Grundy trade. Swap of late 4ths and some back office staff

Which Demon is the most likely to have a breakout year in 2023?
Kade Chandler. Too good for VFL.

Farewell Luke Jackson
I deserve a lifetime membership to Dan Murphy’s after my contribution to their bottom line that evening

Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
The other one in this category I roughly remember was people being worried that Caleb Serong physical ceiling was low because he was very strong at a young age

Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
Oliver scenario was rare. edit: he was clearly out of shape. I read this scenario as being ‘he is a already man - has he reached his ceiling early’

Welcome to Demonland Kyah Farris-White
Double-barrelled surnames are annoying to shout out at a game. I’m gunna call him TWO DADS

Farewell Luke Jackson
may the tales and reputations-made in that 9 minute burst grow wildly as we age. There is no place in this world for pragmatic debate about that small period of wondery.

Saints Sack Ratten & Appoint Lyon as Coach
I have it on good authority they’re strongly considering welcoming back Nick Riewoldt, BJ and Lenny Hayes as players. Baldock has also been discussed although there is some debate at board level about his ability to run both ways in Lyon’s game plan

Training Ground?
I would argue our current set-up in the city has far more appeal to most players than a first-class set up down at Casey. It’s 30km further away from the city than Dingley - there aren’t many young blokes earning plenty of $$ that have much interest in being primarily based 30km past Dingley

Ollie Hollands
Would he be a Dutchy? Or Ned?

Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
Just as long as he doesn’t end up there in 12 months for a future 4th rounder

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Graeme Wright on record as saying their high-investment in ruckmen was at odds with their list profile strategy. It wasn’t necessarily just to clear cap-space, it was to redress the balance of the list (in line with their list strategy)

Farewell Brodie Grundy
I believe the club has sent he and Ed Langdon to Italy to work on their goalkicking
