  1. David King has visited 1 training session for Melbourne-based clubs and reckons he has it all worked out.
  2. The ‘special handouts’ co-ordinator at Kardinia Park has their work cut out for them this year.
  3. Haha Monday brain. “Windsor”.
  4. Kane Cornes and Sam Edmund glowing in their reviews of what they saw of Edmund. I don’t know if they have seen more than what we did in the vision but Volcano likened him to Sam Walsh, Edmund to Bailey Smith.
  5. The Jackson FIX replied to Bigfoot's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
On track to be a superstar for mine. Great season last year.
  6. I have never seen Sam play but isn’t he an 18yo KPF who didn’t get drafted? They take time. 2 or 3 years in our system before they get a game seems to be the norm (assuming they are good enough). Doesn’t seem a wise LTI replacement for mine.
  7. Parking on the grass, right in the middle of Olympic Park Oval also a good option. Advise locking your doors though as the space is often used as an exercise yard for local inmates.
  8. How is Clarry interacting with the players? Is it ‘great to have you back old mate come in for a cuddle!’ or a bit colder? I have been wondering how much the events of the last 12 months have impacted his reputation/relationships within the group.
  9. Given we’ve coughed up leads in 3 out of our last 4 finals (and narrowly lost the other one), I’m going with ‘mental fragility in big moments’ as a key weakness. Really hope we can fix that one.
  10. I would be shocked if Langdon/Hunter aren’t our preferred wings by year end. Partly because Goody is a creature of habit and is shy to make radical change, partly because Langdon and Hunter are the best two wingmen of those 4. I’m guessing Windsor is earmarked for next season (or the following). Billings the possible one to be challenging the incumbents but that’d surprise me as well.
  11. Surely you’d have to have intimate knowledge of his running loads over weeks/months and his body to make that assessment?
  12. I don’t disagree. On record here saying I wished both he & TMac had reached an agreement with the club last year to end rather than progress. Just trying to look for some upside

  13. The bright side is he is a great bloke to have around 2 young key forwards (important to our future) and now he has a lot more time to focus on helping them instead of worrying about himself
  14. I will never forget
. Possibly because I’ve watched every match 7,000 times.
  15. Ok. Apologies that I was surprised.
  16. I am not allowed to say that I’m surprised he’s managed to get back into training after a tragedy like that?
  17. So sorry to hear, WCW
  18. Heartbreaking. Passed at 20 weeks. Surprised he is training this week
  19. Full strength Norf and Wet Toast sides would account for that team easily, I would have thought
  20. January footy media! They made a story up about Salem (midfield push) as an excuse to a) bring Clayton into the story and b) show that salem has an injury (because they couldn’t just say ‘he has an injury concern’ because the club would’ve said they have zero concern).
  21. Trac can run all day now? I am more confused than when I started.
  22. Relax, only jokes!
  23. So if you’re a power burst player that can’t run all day long you’re ‘one-paced’? I’ve clearly misunderstood the meaning of one-paced all along.
  24. Remember the game well, clocked up 10km in set shot run-ins. Ben had a great second half of the ‘21 season and will always be an MFC premiership player
BUT - his best footy was leading up to the ball from deeper in the frwd line (ain’t gonna get much of that that in a game plan built on pumping it to a contest) and his body just isn’t up to it anymore. Like TMac, would’ve thought he isn’t even on the list this year if his contract had ended last yr.
  25. Were they noticeably lowering eyes and looking for shorter options moving it from HB or looking for longer options/contests?
