  1. My Jacko-coloured glasses off for a moment; Would love to see some stats on Jackson’s tenure at Freo - with and without Darcy. I feel people still talk about him in terms of ‘potential’ or they focus on small periods of a game when he looks great. For the money he wants I worry he doesn’t impact games for long enough and may never.
  2. Lol I would trade Clarry for Jacko too - I tell you who won’t though: Fremantle!
  3. They couldn’t squeeze Harvey in for one vote? Personally thought he was more impactful than Viney.
  4. Let me save you the future pain: we’re not getting anything decent. Salary relief will be all that is in it for us. And based on current form that salary relief won’t be as good as it was looking 6 months ago, unless Clarry takes a massive haircut.
  5. Assuming this is a joke? It is the same time/same day every week. Which is a Thursday. At 6.30pm
  6. Tom Morris - says he is ‘not feeling well’
  7. A sensible tactical decision like that isn’t really in Goodwin’s wheelhouse.
  8. Not even sure what they look like anymore
  9. We’re not going to win them but I want to see some deep, bloody teeth marks on every opposition team across that stretch
  10. I thought the evolved theory on Jackson was that his mgmt were just leveraging the ‘move back to Melbourne’ story to get more coin at Freo?
  11. Vlad has a LOT of crosses next to his name post his AFL gig. Firm no.
  12. Lost to Essendon in Adelaide last year. Even our memories are playing [censored]
  13. Literally no one puts a caveat on ‘just kick the thing’. And there are plenty that still say it.
  14. I appreciate the examples shown appear damning but much of the yelling ironically is coming from the same people who yell ‘just kick the thing’. Glass half empty in me says the fact we’re still using it like this after years of being publically criticised for it suggests we have no hope in changing our ways. Glass half full in me says once we get back some of our better users (McVee, Windsor with more time, Lindsay) each of those examples could be different in future rounds.
  15. Is there a training session Wednesday (tomorrow) at Gosch’s that I can take kids to?
  16. Well this thread has been a fun read
  17. Every chance!
  18. I was there that day too 😢 The locals weren’t particularly fond of me and let me know after the siren. Let’s reverse that scenario tonight.
  19. Surprised it isn’t a mandate on our players that they measure and step out their run in for a set shot like an opening bowler measures a run up. Too many times we push the ball wide because we end up too close to the man on the mark.
  20. Both drafts will be compromised (27 severely) by Tassie’s entry
  21. We stopped playing two ruckmen when we had Brodie Grundy on the list, my mind would be blown if we start that back up again with Tom Campbell on the list
  22. Anyone notice the train line disruption on the Geelong line tomorrow? Basically buses from Wyndham Vale to Geelong. Suggest leaving now for those lunatics who are up for what appears now to be a double punishing (myself included)
  23. I have a maths riddle I need some help with. If teams are dropping a spare man back in defence against us (and doing it very well) and we take one fewer player to stoppage, how many players do we actually have one the ground at any point in time? If it is in fact 16, goes some way to explaining our poor start to the season
