  1. Agree he wants out but the story coming out the other day that he would be open to going to Sydney,GC or Adelaide says to me he hasn’t got a destination lined up yet. Will be interesting to see who comes to the table and what they bring.
  2. I’m not saying you're wrong and the reported lack of quality in this year’s draft might suggest you’re right. But the population will have grown over 25% and 5 million people from when the Suns joined to when Tassie is due to come in. If the comp can’t sustain another team then the AFL really needs to look at how it’s growing the game.
  3. Yeah fair points, I’m in favour of the trade only if it’s good for the club and I’m happy if he decides ti stay and see what a new coach, game style and hopefully goal kicking coach can do next season However we saw the lengths he was willing to go last year when there was no club willing to put an offer on the table for him, if he can agree terms with another club and get them to put any sort of middling offer on the table then I think a trade is inevitable. With two years future picks now on the table most clubs should be able to make it work.
  4. Good on Gary setting a high price for Trac before others in the media say he’s shot and only worth a packet of chips.
  5. A rule change that will have a big impact on the rucking contest probably comes at a good time for us as we contemplate how to replace the greatest of all time.
  6. You might be right but he said in his presser that he was dedicating one day to Melbourne and then he was driving down the highway and focusing on Geelong.
  7. Interesting that the stories came out the day after King met with our list management. Cats play on Friday so I guess there’s a chance our new coach hasn’t had a proper chance to catch up with Trac but if it hasn’t happened already I’m sure it will over the weekend or early next week . If Trac hasnt come out and put the rumours to bed by mid next week I think we can take it to the bank he’s Gone
  8. I was filthy with Trac with how he went about trying to force through a move last year. Tbh I’ll prob never look at him in the same light ever again. Thought he put in a decent effort coming back from injury but never felt like he was 100% in. This time round I’m not too bothered- I assume it’s him putting out the story that he’s will to be traded to a bigger range of clubs this time. This helps both parties, makes it more realistic that he will get his move and we will get reasonable trade value
  9. Would still be $1.3m off the books next year.
  10. If we paid $400k in the first couple of years then I’d assume we would pay less in the final 2 as I think his contract tapers off then. Collingwood were able to win a flag while paying Grundy $300k and cap has increased since then. Bringing in a top 10 draft pick as part of the deal gives us wriggle room. The difference in wages between Langford and Trac would be around $1m a year at the min. I’d rather drop the money and get the draft capital.
  11. Agree but if GC are a real option then our chances of getting better value for him increase as they have such a wealth of young talent on their books and incoming that they don’t value the picks as much.
  12. I think that’s a fair deal. If we want to get good picks/player coming our way in the Trac deal then we are going to have pay a chunk of his wages. The cost to pay Flanders and a top ten draft pick would leave enough change out of what we are currently paying Trac to cover our end. Trac gets a shot a final/flag and chance to build his brand somewhere else, Suns( or Crows get player in to help them win now and we get two players ( back JT to get a good one with a top 10 pick either in this draft or the next) that will hopefully be around for the next 10 years. We have a great young crop but I would still like us to add more A grade young talent. If we can get a best 22 player and a top 10 pick I’m happy to cover some of his wages.
  13. Add McAdam into that mix and we are paying for 3 forwards with the hope of getting one on the part at a time. Nuts. Pies list management has been streets ahead of ours lately. Only willing to offer a one year contract to a player who has busted his guts for them tells me they think he’s shot. A fit BM would be great for us but we can’t afford to be paying $1.5m to another forward to spend most of his time on the injury list. I’d rather see us build for the future.
  14. If either Melbourne or Geelong are interested in trading Clarry this year it puts the new coach in an interesting spot while he’s working for both.
  15. I’m a fan of his but he’s too old now. We need to be recruiting for the future not the next year or two.
  16. Agree with all of the above, I feel that both situations were very different. Trac publicly and deliberately betrayed the club and fans to force through a move to a bigger club( the pies) to improve his brand. Very difficult for me to get back 100% on the Trac train after that. Clarry has had his issues but I don’t feel like he betrayed the club in the same way.
  17. Agree, with the poor quality and amount of kids that are already tied to clubs in this draft I’m hoping we really attack next years draft before Tassie really compromised the following one. Hoping and praying JT remains with us to pick us some gems.
  18. Nah no good. He’s got no pace😃 His big weapons were on display tonight. Some good contested marks and a powerful and accurate left peg. Ran the game and season out well too.
  19. Trac looked unwell to me tonight. White as a ghost and paste looking skin. I’ve been in favour of trading him but it’s a hard call. If he goes he will be hoping a new head coach and kicking coach can get the best out of him and get him back to his best. Same if he stays
  20. I really hope we don’t lose Clarry in the off season. Getting back to his best and would be gutting to see him in full flow for another team.
  21. I hate losing to these [censored]. Hate losing to them.
  22. I liked him in his draft year. He finished his year really strong kicking 4 goals in the championship decider at Marvel. Looked at that stage as he was going to be a star. I only watched him once this year and he looked miles off it. No intensity or second efforts.
  23. Not expecting a win but I’d take a bog performance from big Max to seal his eight AA and prevent Daicos getting 3 votes.
  24. I counted 4, for some reason typed 2 and missed the 5th🤣. Can’t fix stupid.
  25. Lions just won a flag and have 2 in that team. We have a long way to go.
