My MFCSS is in fine form. I was ready to swing the axe on all of them in the 2nd qtr. Witches hats the lot of them. Win is good, but there have to be a couple rested before we take on Sydney.

There is a different mindset this year in the team. There is an air of "no distractions, no one player praise". This was evident when Trac got the Checkers medal. He received it, said thanks and moved on. He had the medal under his top out of sight. I first thought maybe he felt Salem was more deserving and he didn't want to show it off. Later in all the talk every time the media try to pluck a player out and have the group talk about that player There is a set routine. "Yes he is going alright isn't he, he's doing his job well in the group, he complements the teams hard work." I have never seen this Melbourne before and I like it. I'd like to win by 100 points if it's not asking too much.

Spargo is playing selfless footy. He puts his body on the line in every contest. People have to stop looking at his stat's. Spargs role is not about winning the ball but making sure the ball doesn't leave the contest in the opposition possession. Not a bad situation in having Weids, Ben Brown, Chandler, Harmes, Daw and Jetta waiting for their chance.

This has been a topic of conversation forever. If it's Casey then make it Casey. Bit over the butt scratching and nothing getting done. Wherever it is, someone won't like it. Do it so we can at least whinge about where our base is instead of how we don't have one.
