Could this be an omen... Dees back AO competitor
58er replied to hardtack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Really why did we picture him? Loser fit or otherwise and one if the worst players to ever play On Rod Laver Arena. Only got near Roger because Rog had an injury crop up. Resembled some of our games In 2019, looked winner in last quarter teased and lost. -
Training session for supporters is on the Sunday 2nd Feb At Mooroochydore Sports Complex at 9.30 am I think. Go to our website "melbournefc.com.au"and check Yherr is s notice from about 7-10 days ago if not ring Club snd AFL details.

Lovely photos guys keep them up.

Great insight Thsnks DW Now can you spy on the other 10 Melb/Cats teams snd see how they are preparing
-
Basically agree DS but signs are really promising from PS training reports of greater body strength involvement and skills. Taking marks is the most important towards skill snd subsequently kicking goals BUT competing all the time and bringing the ball to ground should not be underestimated. I am bullish about Sam so here's hoping all out forwards take a step forward as a group but individually as well as we sorely need to forget the calamitous edition of 2019 which constantly shot itself in its proverbial foot. 35 goals an aim for the Weide.

M5 Surely you can name the issues as individual topics without detail ( if some exists) to give D/L ers the opportunity of being aware of the problems that you perceive are with our off field culture. Otherwise I think you run the risk of criticising individual personnel or unfairly creating suspicion of some hard working and loyal efficient employees or unpaid volunteers who al believe have acted very professionally to our problems if 2019. Over to you M5.

I suspect Lockhart will be part of Melbourne's future defence with breaknet speed and drive from half back/pocket. Similar to Andy McGrath of Bombers or Chris Johnson of the 3 peat flag winning Lions.
-
Surely the weekend is better than the Friday
-
Not sure wher he played mostly in 2018 but both FF orcCHF are suitable

What about Tommmy Mac?

Defining Success in 2020 - Is Just Making Finals Enough?
58er replied to Rodney (Balls) Grinter's topic in Melbourne Demons
Sorry RJ it was linear with 2019 the exception. 2020 will determine how successful our build and 2018/19 draft and trade "top up" is to our long term future. Mytip is that we have greater depth potentially than 2018 and if 3 or 4 of our "top ups" rise to C/B graders and/or an A such as Fritta Lever Langdon Or May possibly then We will be in even better shape. (Dare to dream about Harley). -
OD technically 3 years 18,19 and now 20 BUT ONLY ONE here at the Dees with 2020 as a possible seasonal problem. Fully agree that it's not looking good but is it an injury or a major concussion issue?

Sorry OD I believe Fritta will star and be nearly a full A grader and opposition teams will have trouble minding our new and improved fitter forward line with some finishing skills. -

OD He nearly hit That total (21) from 7/ 8 games forward Why wouldn't he be at least as successful over a full season esp with an improving forward line and team? -

Fritsch is not a robust player Flower also not but didn't make any difference to him. Bayley needs to play his role Yes But it's up to other forwards Tom Mac Weide Milkshake Trac plus Kossy and others to be more physical and allow his considerable skills to shine and kick 40/50 goals this Season. -
Jacko Will play at least 10 games IMO. Too competitive, classy and smart at getting the ball to not play forward or even in tuck or midfield. FWIW Kossy similar no To LJ and Rivers betw 5 and 15 Depending upon Hibbo and Lord Nev form and fitness Plus his development. sounds desperate I know and I also think Sparrow And Jordon Especially will get 8/10 games and Chandler/Bedford a small no of opportunities but more if injuries or form to our crumbing players. Devrlopmental all of these young guns but I believe they will prosper from fitness prep pre season and blend of youth and more experienced players in team developing as season goes by!!
-
Sorry BAMF I meant disregard Dazxles KK assessment as you indicated.
-
Disregard Bamf's assessment of KK. A 2 game sample is not relevant snd IMO he is the one that has played overall the best football in his career of the two. In fact KK would play a traditional wingman's role better then Tommo and Zi still can't believe That Tommo has the pace. Expect him to be at Half Beck at some stage or 3rd talking in the Forward line for versatility. Upbeat about both if both are fit and well.
-
Really MS does that add anything to the post? Old news Irrelevant really Are we going to recover? Yes but it needs all parts of the Club on the same page and little bit of fortune. At worst 8 wins best 15 and dare to dream!!
-
Ridiculous call You need at least 3/4 years like Maxand Clarry. Here is a great opp for all our players bar Jonesy Hibbo and prob AVB yo get The next decade honours Maybe even a top 20 if we win a flag or two.
-
Best summary. Kyle far too young to write off Could easily be a big developer over this and next season. Trent Rivers looks a likely type and I expect him to get opportunity early subject to form and fitness.
-
Yes would normally agree DP but Jacko looks more like an athletic freak ego has skills of a mid snd therefore I believe he will thrive Early in AFL because of this and his very very competitive nature. My take us very few Casey games as he builds a stellar career while learning in the big time and we are the winners. Ruck ruck rover CHF FF or flanker even mid as Goody has said. Just let him loose and he will leap onto stardom!!!

A recent parcel to WA was sent on the 14 th and due to reach a WA friend last Mon on the 23rd Steve. So really MFC can't control the post and I Live in Brisbane and allow extra for mail unless it is EXPRESS Would u be willing to pay the extra ? I might but it's not a present or anything urgent. I can give my friend the Members ticket if arrives before I visit Melb at Cmas OR can give it betw Dec and March if down or post it down otherwise. I then get RecRights tickets for the home games I come down for on the day or pre book Anzac Eve, QB and prob the Carlton game. Perhaps the MFC can say that no guarantees interstate and offer person to pay for express if want too to remove doubt or order on special delivery.

Very strange comment as all our expert track watchers are singing his praises esp fir last 7 rounds in 2019 and now in match sim and all drills at pre season. Why your suspicion about his ability ? who else will Line up at Full forward or hf flank?
