You don't know the circumstances so don't be so judgemental. There are plenty of people who have contracted Covid who have not necessarily done anything wrong. There was never going to be the scenario that we wouldn't lose some staff and players due to this pandemic now that thugs have opened up even more. Loges perhaps you could go back in your underground cave and we will ring you when it's safe to circulate. It's disappointing but we have 2 players returning for 3 at this stage and list wise Hibbo is now available so overall at this stage we are no worse on the playing list but coach down. Time will tell if more damage but let's hope not .

Results will have to be performed to earn that 640 but we are starting to look like a very good impostor of that great era's teams. I believe 3 flags in 4 years and say 75/80% wins in those 4 years would equal the 1954/60 teams effort of 5 flags and 2 runners up. Thats because the AFL now has 6 more teams and it is harder to do and more competitive now than in the 60's. Just the same as 5 in7 years vs 4 in a row was harder as in 1920's/30 with 3 uncompetitive teams North Hawks and Dogs just starting AFL journeys.

Was 41 pts in the end but game not decided till about 21 mins in last quarter. Hawks are in rebuild snd still was a promising effort with injury bit rich to call a belting when so competitive. That's what Dees used to do occasionally when in rebuild 1, 2, 3 and 4 over 57 years. What the Tigers did miss out on was a belting !!! 31 scoring shots to 14!!!

Hibbo has not been slow at any of his footy with us other than for one season 2020. His talent is very good at most skills in the game and thsts enabled him to be a warrior like in the Finals year. I don't discount the speed of both Hunty and Smithy in closing speed and that is special but not a must play attribute that keeps them in the team. Hunty played just best game defensively in his 100th vs Tigers and he was most unlucky on the season to miss out with injury. Smithy had improved a lot from last year but still has the brain fade and footy nous Clanger so that only he can produce. To be fair they are rarer and rarer these days and credit to him and the coaches as he is getting an injury free tun he deserves to make a fist of it. We are so fortunate to have all three who each brings different skill sets for us to enjoy and appreciate along with the AA others snd youngsters Petty Bowey and Riv. Under 10 goals a game conceded is extraordinary considering our availability this season. Coaches take a bow please

A Home game replacement has been ONLY for the Hawks HOME game in place of our NT game. Look at the Fixture it is a DEMON HOME game so no replacement needed. Our replacement game this year announced almost pre season is QB vs Pies! Glad you will be back to normal with Jack leading our inside football with Clarry this Saturday. Expect us to tidy up our handball happy style and regain our forward mojo.

Move on from 2018 please Tmac has played about 5/10 mins in about 10 games in 2018 on the wing as warm up only, before he went firward. When since then had he played on the wing? And is he as agile now as then.? He Probably will go down back for the tall timber or play loose like Lever. Smith might even play intercept. JJ or Angus and/or Dunstan can go into the midfield. We have options no doubt and great flexibility.

So is Smith

That will please all the fans that have gone very quiet about the Raft of First Rounders used for obtaining this champion pair. For the record books though Salem J.Smith Rivers Bowser Hunt Hibbo Petty Tommo and Angus are a very handsome supply from all different cost options but overall great value that have been magnificent as support of the two AA champs. JT and Recruiting Dept say Hi !!

Perhaps a little bit of lateral thinking here! Who would you want to least play against you if either Tmac or Weid were to line up against you in the GF. T Mac presents greater problems I reckon in that he has a bigger physical presence although Weid may be more dangerous potentially I kicking goals. But for us I reckon Tmac suits our forward line ( look at the win /loss ratio it doesn't lie when T Mac is there. He bullocks and clunks around slightly awkwardly then his skills take over snd the small forwards reap the benefits. Both don't one grab the ball always in fact two grabbers or chances to Kossie ANB and Charlie are constant with either Slso Tmac can go down back for that extra tall player and ruck with some presence. Weid is a better round the ground mark and sort of handy op forward rucking. By the end if the year Weid if given 15 games could be just as handy forward and rucking. Somehow Weid just manages to disappear snd not get into the play so that's his problem yo sort out ie impose himself on the game fir the team. It could go either way but I just feel more comfortable with Tmac in the team and his experience and solidity being on offer for all the forwards and as a reserve back man. Either way we are lucky to have both for our use and both will play their role I suspect as all Dees players do.

No but nor should we get only North Saints and Freo numbers after winning a flag and hAving record numbers in Members and Coteries etc. Since Round 9 2020 we have WON 31 matches LOST only 7 DRAWN 1 in 39 games That's 80% if we win next week. That's nearly twice our AFL/VFL 125 year history of 45%! Winning rate . So success is sweet but I think the AFL and/ or Club should send a survey out to Members and Supporters asking what are the 3 main reasons why you are not going and provide alternatives on the survey. They should also contact members who are not going ( or Unregularly) to games and find out why ? Membership Corporate or Social support seems the highest ever so why not at games say 60% of members going? it's disappointing to say the least Have to say the 20,000 odd there were fantastic very loud passionate and appreciative and supportive but are they the only rusted on fans? Time will tell ! Really who wouldn't be with a GF like quarter 3rd quarter of 10 goals! Amazing 10 different players 10 different ways and some sensational footy to last with memories of last year ! Reckon Kossie Tommy Sparrow and Bowser's 3 goals are all in for GOTRound and 2 are GOTYear contenders for the efforts and skills.

Well put BDA To be honest it's like marriage and divorce Some find reasons to leave Others find reasons to stay Couples don't work hard enough to keep their marriages going these days.

Agree with you Titan. Any one that can't love our footy and true commitment at the moment after the last unsuccessful years is being very picky and churlish. Barack for a non competitive team that does get the tough ball and you would lose the game 8 times out of 10. MALDONBOY you need to see it live and not out of a small screen where ball ups and scrimmages seem the norm. Not really buying your explanation as it appears your heart is not in with the Dees or are you satisfied that we have won ONE Flag. ?

Supposedly tickets were not available for members and GEn Public till after you posted your comment. Actually You don't buy a seat/ ticket when you go on to the app as a member or Gen Public. The reasons for the different tickets displayed is beachside the other areas have had sales already I would assume. You don't get any further info till after 72 hours before and agsin you can go to the GA area snd choose your seats on first in best dressed base. If you are reserved seat holder then your seat is protected in your area. You buy a seat on your App ($0 if member or price if not and choose the area and await scan seat 72 hours before. That's my experience snd YES MFC have a office betw Gates 3 and 4 for help. They are all over it.

Absolutely Gonzo that is the truth of the matter. DEEJAMMING is dreaming and completely wrong on figures. At best 1/2000 Port fans would have attended so over 32,000 Blues fans would have been in the house. With us the 91 of the 20,791 would have been Giants. So 20,700 max Dees fans about 30% of our members ( not really as not all MCC members are dual MFC members.) I will say the noise and support was exceptional for that number of people but we are talking about fans WHO commit no matter what. Deejamming Your figures are rubbish so don't try and manipulate the story or rewrite never spoil a good story with the truth!! Just so average after all the players and teams support for the fans at the G. And look at the footy Not sure if 10 goals in the third quarter was a record bit must have been close. What I do know us that Kossie Tommy Sparrow and Bowser all gave us magic moments ( Goals of the year potentially ) and lifetime memories on this night! We don't know when or how successful this team will be but look at the last 12 games since Round 20 last year and that's a lifetime of highlights from this team that we are all hoping can be repeated on the G in September. Why miss out on the entree for most of the lame excuses trotted out in this forum. And one other thing by the 600 posts on Demonland there were a vast majority of fans home watching. It appears that the average D/Ler is over 50 and was not at the G on Sat night but watching FTA Foxtel or Kayo! Are you exhausted already from the Flag celebrations and accept success now as a given? The excuses by some posts here are lame and disrespectful to the team and efforts ( even just for Sat night's effort). Also we are not going to play at our Finals best each Round but a quarter snapshot like the third is a damn good memory for us to savour given the 57 years previous. Some reality goes a long way !!

Who gives a toss who we play ? Do you go to see the opposition or to see our team? After Round1 when all the Vic teams played each other there had to be a trade off and this Round looks like it. To be fair games against Power and Giants were more attractive when the fixture was announced but go back to my first question.

It's not a beat up Deanox. It's disappointing after the success and also alleged desire of fans who were desperate to see our heroes live at the G. Granted some crowds have been poor but are from poor performing Clubs with not sustained recent success. The excuses and explanations are dribble and aren't worth the time posters have used up typing in. Yet many will want to come to home Finals at theG no doubt. If the Club puts it out that the number of home games attended will be used in any ballot that may unsnooze the losers missing out on what could/might/ is shaping up as our best team ever with half a dozen or more most watchable players who are destined to be all time greats and no doubt Hall of Famers in many categories. Kayo FTA Covid Public Transport Parking Sat night Ticketing and any other "excuse" don't hold a candle and is an insult to intelligence and more to the point a giant insult to our players that at least 50% of members can't be bothered to support these modern day heroes. I must laud the noise and congratulate the support of the 20,000 odd who attended and sounded like double that number.on TV replay. We can do so much better Dees fans our champs deserve it.

Binman Can't believe you have missed the Cats 2007-11 and they are still around Their 3 flags plus dynasty since IMO makes them the Best Club this Century by a long way ( Even though the Hawks have 4 Flags) The W and L record will prove that . BTW I think we are starting to make our mark in that regard. From Round 9 in 2020 our record is : 31 WINS 7 LOSSES 1 DRAW from 39 MATCHES. Thats over 80% GOODY NOW 67 - 48 - 1 - 116 About 58/59% and getting better each round.

It's for spectator safety going to Richmond Station on Brunson St which is why walkover is necessary in the Station upgrade..
