  1. 1 + jordon clark would be ideal and some more, rivers and clark off hb/wing would make me drool
  2. compare the season before when phillips actually played wing not HF, yes smith is more favourable in some stats but its much more even https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/ft_player_compare?playerStatus1=A&tid1=11&playerStatus2=A&tid2=5&type=A&pid1=3464&pid2=4214&fid1=P&fopt1=2011&fid2=P&fopt2=2019
  3. OUT: Preuss (GWS), Hannan (WB), OMcDonald (Hawks/Dogs), TMcDonald (Dons), Neal-Bullen (Freo), Jetta (Pies), (Chandler? -del) IN: Ratugolea/Wright, Phillips/ISmith, JClark, small forward (Ronke, Aarts, Higgins) yes plz + i'm big on narkle & witherden but thats a lot of ins and Clark seems more gettable?
  4. instead of getting a disgruntled r2 like preuss we need to be targetting a mobile option that can play alongside (+ with LJ and Weid). Sav and 2mPeter fit this bill and structurally improve our side. they're both still very young for KPP and have played roles at AFL level, i think we absolutely must add one to the list even if it doesn't work out its worth the punt over TMac and an ageing MBrown for the future as a depth option
  5. the only reason anyone thinks smith is better is because he's won 3 flags, thats it its the only reason what had smith achieved as an individual player that phillips has not by his age. phillips got squeezed out of one of the best sides in the comp, no shame in that. you go to the afl website side by side compare phillips and smiths output and tell me without putting a picture/name to a list of stats you actually rank smith higher. its extremely even and then you take in age and wage demands and phillips becomes such a logical choice. people saying richmond went out and added prestia caddy nank all this, none of them were "stars' at the time but they thrive in the system. we need a left footed winger so get the one whos gonna be around for the success and grow with the group together rather than delaying the problem for two years
  6. sergio romero woulda bee a huge coup sorry our [censored] board didnt want to come to the party :( thouroughly enjoying watching u lot play week in week out, started with DCL in fantasy im ahead of the curve :P geelong have no problems with young players leaving - for multiple reasons. A) they back in their recruiters to steal some stars with late picks, b) theyll get first rounders/top picks in return to reinvest in trades (like gws of recent years but better) and C) theyll just bring back former falcons in two years time when they breakthrough elsewhere as theyve been doing. Getting Clark across with Sav would be huge, can play off a HBF just as well as he goes on a wing, given hibbos age itd be a great deal
  7. Ratugolea - given the Hawkins Cameron Stanley lineup he wont get a single look-in, doubt he hangs around the fringes waiting if hawkins gets 2yr deal he coached me at school, such a great bloke and good coach
  8. they're surprisingly yet to announce delistings but OOC are ALOT of those mid type nothing players hannan barely an upgrade but like us theyre trying to try something different so fair play to them and i wont be surprised when he's off their list in 2years. hopefully we can weasil their first pick out of the deal once we make our other moves and get the late points up
  9. i'd be taking a look at Sav if we miss on brown, absolutely, he's young and you could say raw but would be a good goalsquare player who can clunk them and take pressure off weid and jacko, u can definitely see he has room for improvement and untapped potential but he'd come cheap and at least gives us a younger alternative to mitch brown. also back ups the ruck well too. Say we miss on brown its Sav vs 2m Peter coz i'm not going into another season with just Weid, Jacko, Tmac, MBrown or i guess we try and prise mihocech out but id rather a bigger body who has that F/R flexibility seeing as we're missing out on all the BIG boys
  10. i'd be taking a look at him if we miss on brown, absolutely young and you could say raw but would be a good goalsquare player who can clunk them and take pressure off weid and jacko, u can definitely see he has room for improvement and unlocked potential but he'd come cheap and at least gives us a younger alternative to mitch brown. also back ups the ruck well too. Say we miss on brown its Sav vs 2m Peter coz i'm not going into another season with just Weid, Jacko, Tmac, MBrown
  11. i'll be pissing myself laughing when the hawks sign him up and he lines up alongside frost round 1
  12. if smith comes in its the end of the road for baker, none of this take him under his wing business. baker is OOC next year 23yo 5 years 5 in the system! if we are the side we wanna be and a player hasnt shown anything bar 4/5 games a year after that long its time to go, so if we're bringing smith in baker spends the entire season in the twos proves nothing and is off the list. if baker is the answer or u want him to be play him from round 1 and see what he does or you could actively take phillips who is absolutely more than capable and move onto the next problem position and draft someone to develop behind he and langdon Phillips is 2 years older than Baker and has played 80 more games than him! baker isnt gonna cut it i'm afraid
  13. i'd give him a spot for a year if he was the last player on the market or if it meant moving on from Hunt, Hannan, ANB which all seems likely
  14. bro i know who he is, like cool but we have players developing as inside mids already yes he would improve our list because hes a talented player but he doesnt improve the structure of our side and we shouldn't recruit for the 2s specifically until we have a good 22
  15. the one that bounced off both posts when u see it on replays that was a stunner
  16. mitch brown back with the flight mightve been in cairns is about the only one that comes to mind
  17. yet no one woulda seen it noticed it or anything if dingbats with a voice/platform didn't make a scene out of it to keep themselves relevant and create some kinda story from it
  18. u read the media too much, have u ever been a part of a football club, these boys are best mates they made a joke together move along, happens everywhere and defines absolutely no one as a person or a footballer and is in no way related to what they dish up between the sirens
  19. we already screwed our game plan over this year trying to fit 27 inside mids into the side, now we're trying to rectify that recruiting brodie is absolutely wrong Viney, Brayshaw, Oliver, Trac, Jones, Harmes, vanders, sparrow all played in the same side this year and u want to add one more into the mix ur having a giraffe
  20. if you know u know
  21. who is this AhChee of the bulldogs you speak of?
  22. why would we be into Will brodie, he is everything we already have an abundance of on our list
  23. i'd be lining up Fritsch Weid Spargo Kozzy Brown Jackson of current list Bedford off the bench but i'd love us to target Narkle - allows trac to rest forward more often and at least one of Ronke, Aarts, Higgins, ZLangdon to potentially out perform Spargo and Bedford as genuine smalls Hannan, Hunt, ANB, AVB, Melky out of the picture, baring injury
  24. here's a whole thread on it xx
  25. when you have daicos and brown as competition for wing spots you generally go with the famous club names would be my thinking and probably theres too id prefer narkle as he can roll up into the guts and rotate on field with trac, also phillips played this role this year and i dont think it was too successful for him individually zac langdon but idk what to make of this https://www.zerohanger.com/afl-trade-news-giants-forward-set-to-elect-rival-club-as-preferred-destination-afl-2-3-4-65590/ (is this reliable source idk) Out-of-contract Greater Western Sydney forward Zac Langdon is set to name West Coast as his preferred club of choice for 2021, per The West Australian. The Western Australian product played just the seven games for the Giants in 2020 and is now keen to return home at the conclusion of his contract. i woulda said cumming too but williams and shaw's exits made him a required player there
