  1. interesting so ed has us bidding on windhager, we do have a history of bids tbf
  2. the only ones who have really stood out to me are the two who delisted themselves/retired jarrod cameron and irving mosquito, think that it's a spot on the list where we are weakest/easiest to break into and these boys clearly have talent just it seems not the desire which is a real shame, i wonder if a darwin franchise would help keep these boys in the league longer while also maintaining connections with their roots and be closer to family (i know they aren't from darwin but its a lot closer than melbourne or perth is)
  3. not to get ahead of ourselves, but here's an early '22 look. particular interest in the height of ed's first round prospects, great for us with all our talls around the 29-31 bracket
  4. next year is meant to be a super tall draft so watch for clubs in need of talls including us with as u said all our talls over 28yo to maybe go smaller and pass up this year with eyes on next years crop. also couldn't help but notice literally all the SA/WA prospects you had going to home state clubs, i don't think it'll pan out that way most clubs victorian and interstate have no issue drafting across the country and backing in their system to hold the player
  5. and matt spangher was levels above nick riewoldt
  6. was it cerra or dawson?
  7. is a forum footy game an actual game of football or some sort of digital/online competition. coz if its the former id like to volunteer

heard of Will ashcroft of the lions f/s as a potential top 5er so far
  11. ok someone help me i'm confused, the blues have recontracted Kennedy, Honey, Parks, Boyd, OMac as rookies, plus have another 12 months of Mirkovs 18month mid season rookie contract, plus have committed to rookie-ing Cottrell and Lochie O'Brien... that makes 8 Cat A rookies??? impossible? illegal? unless they plan on upgrading 2 of them to the senior list? but why wouldn't they announce that now or not delist LOB who's already senior listed and just sign him back to the senior list? doesn't make sense to me
  12. i think it'll go to dunstan plain and simple
  13. ok you definitely can't leave the decision until after the draft, unless you delist them and then invite them to train on over preseason to win back their spot which seems like a strange thing to do
  14. pre finals i saw Sparrow inheriting the 2 - i think a clean move from 32 woulda made sense and similar player to Jones but now he's won a flag he might keep the 32, besides cam bruce isn't the worst player to follow. i can definitely see Dunstan in the 2 and i'm not opposed to it
  15. i think we might have a look at a cal sinclair or sam naismith type from the swans both OOC and Naismith a UFA next season to fill that role for a few seasons given Daw's age and presumed frailty long term. Also could stanley or save be available once ceglar joins on
  16. nick austin seemed pretty confident when he said they were not going to be picking any higher than they currently are and that their future 1&2 r off the market, plus they don't have SOS playing as many draft games as we're used to
  17. also on foxtel in the replays section
  18. a bit off topic but this sent me down a bit of a rabbit hole 2022 prospective demons milestones to look forward to: 50 games: Jordon (25 needed), Sparrow (22), Petty (20), Jackson (20), Rivers (16), Pickett (11), Weideman (1) 50 MFC games: Langdon (9), May (2) 100 games: MBrown (24), Fritsch (15), Hunt (6) 100 MFC games: Melksham (17), Hibberd (11) 150 games: Petracca (23), Salem (20), BBrown (7) 200 games: McDonald (7), Melksham (3)
  19. i think taj is one who will thrive more at afl level, he's a good kick and makes good decisions but at this level a lot of simple kicks and handballs are being missed which disrupts the ball movement and forces it into a contested game, appears to hold his width really well tho and on the mcg could be a real weapon
  20. throw in vandenBerg or van den berg or Van den berg or whatever the correct way it's officially meant to read is
  21. who's the blemish?

we do now with the resignings but i'm taking Hill > Chandler and Bedford any day, has shown he's capable the dury well and truly out on our two lads, can see chandler's career following along similarly to bakers is, always just there in case but Hill i can see actually improving our 22 think he's shown enough already to suggest he's more than that. Bobby Hill wouldn't be on more than 300 a season i wouldn'tve thought Bedford + Chandler off the books Bobby in and there's your contract right there
  23. wouldn't be surprised to see other clubs try and do this now, which is a shame coz itll make it harder for us but luckily there will always be F/S and NGA players i guess to force clubs out of the first round, just gotta make sure we're front of the queue with the best offer to improve our hand
  24. didn't like the deal before it was signed, thought adelaide was the right move for him to play -doesn't seem at our level. hate it now that bobby hill is on the market

i can't be the only one who is quite peeved that we've re-signed Chandler who had offers on likely a heavier contract that we initialy would've put to him pre Crom interest and Bedford only to hear Bobby who has bucketloads more upside and also proven afl form/ability is on the market for you'd expect about a 3rd round pick and a similar contract. who ever lands him is getting a bargain, it's a shame it wont be us
