  1. I’ve just booked as nice room for you @Macca and @Sir Why You Little. All this erotic chat is getting my ticker going.
  2. Sorry, but i had posted this in the wrong thread: dp while i admire your enthusiasm, do you really know what's required to mount an alternative option to the Club? Do you know what physical facilities are actually required by the Club? Do you know how much physical space would be required to house these facilities? These are the very first steps before you can look at any possible alternative site. I'm guessing you don't really have these basic ingredients yet. Only then can you go out looking for suitable public land. I say public because any privately owned land would have a price tag that we could never afford. Then the hard part begins. Looking for public land that does not have heritage issues (ie the MCG Precinct); does not cause a loss of public visual amenity (ie the Yarra Park proposal); does not make homeless other sporting or recreation bodies, does not take away much required public open space; a site that can provide public benefit from some of the proposed works; a site that is easily accessible etc etc etc. Then when you think you have all that nailed down, you have to find the financial backing for that site. Therefore, it ain't as easy as seeing a vacant block of land and declaring that would make a good site! I'm afraid dp, that without having these basic initial criteria in hand, the Club - while they might appreciate your effort - will not take you seriously. That is most likely why you have not had a number of your questions answered. But on a more positive note, the Caulfield site really excites me as a proposal - much, much more than anything we had previously proposed in the MCG precinct. (I've been in the Master Planning game for a long time, so i do have some knowledge of these processes). I think we will all be extremely happy if we pull this proposal off. It's almost like we have waited 20 years for Caulfield to come along.

  4. No one likes a show off. (but well done. I cannot do these)
  5. Back to the cricket. I’m so sick of seeing a petulant Steve Smith performance when he is given out. He blames everyone or everything but himself. And to stand in the middle of the pitch and stare after he was given out is just plain disrespectful and bad sportsmanship. He was a very good player- he no longer is. As for holding up play while a ball of sticky tape is removed from the sight screen area, was just a joke. Time for the selectors to look toward the future. Hopefully he can join Warner on the sidelines. He’s lost my respect as a player.
  6. They aren't talking to each other?
  7. Get him right and he'll lead a happy and healthy life. This is number one. He might even play football again.
  8. You watch these marks, and you watch these goals, and your juices start to flow, and you just want the f’ing footy to start again, now.
  9. Haha. WCW, I think you are very much underestimating just how annoying you can be. Give it a shot. (happy new year)
  10. I'm assuming that, knowing you Clint, your "merry Christmas everyone" would probably not be extended to the men with the whistles?
  11. Luv this site. Just wanted to take the opportunity of wishing you all a merry Christmas and a happy and successful Dee year coming up.
  12. Can I read a summary anywhere of what happened at the AGM? Or can I watch a replay? I don’t see anything on the MFC website. Is there something on DL?
  13. My first game? The ‘64 grand final. Not a bad start at all. Don’t remember much except getting a flat tyre on the way there and holding up all the traffic on High St wanting to turn right onto Punt Road heading to the game. I remember Ray Gabelich’s long run and goal, and my namesakes goal from nowhere at the end. Other than that, not so much.
  14. One day on here my grandson will tell the story of how he became a Dees supporter. It was the result of a battle of the grandfathers. One a Don, the better one a Demon. There was a great (friendly) rivalry. The grandson was born only one week after our ‘21 premiership. I couldn’t have any grandson of mine associated with that Essendon mob, so I immediately signed him up as a baby member of the club. He’s a demon for life whether he likes it or not. The other grandfather was pi…d.
  15. I wish Daisy every success, but I'm so disappointed that we have not been able to bring her "home".
  16. Seriously picket? She obviously has you all fooled. She’s a deranged fanboy (fan girl?) who gets her jollies from hanging around young athletic men who happen to wear red and blue. All this making banners, cooking sausages and happy snapshots with her “boys” is just a front. I’m actually scared about what she might do next. I am beginning to believe that we might not be seeing Chin again. I think she might have him locked away in her basement. Yeah, she’s not fooling me.
  17. JT told the truth. He selected the best available who had speed, athleticism and foot skills.
