  1. We kick 2 more goals rather than points we win. Pies kicked 15-4 and two rushed, they kick 13-6 and two rushed, still very accurate they lose! Season isn’t over yet!
  2. He is getting the ball a lot, but has limited vision! Basically goes back ignores his first option, hesitates, waits for defenders and Max to roll back, then kicks it long down the line, every time! Perhaps under instruction, but in 50% of cases ignores someone 25-30 metres in front of him on their own. Ignores chance to go quickly and open up opposition. Aside from distance gained, the other stat that would be beneficial is metres gained that goes to a teammate.
  3. If I hadn’t of seen the game and just read the Demonland comments you would think we lost by 6-8 goals! It was 7 points - yes, poor to lose, but not all is lost! Forwards have to tackle all game and we need to kick the easy goals.
  4. Elliott got three goals from frees from good tackles. Ball also went quickly into the defence on too many occasions, so pressure built, and tackling by Pies in forward half was very good! Still they kick 13-8. we win. We miss two less shots, we win! Problems in addition to ordinary backline performance: 2nd half we got overrun! Pies tackling pressure terrific, we need to match next time, particularly in forward half. Jackson has been ordinary. While Melksham has played his role, I can’t see us winning with him in team, I’d like to give JVR a crack!
  5. After half time umpiring all one way!
  6. Credit to Collingwood for getting a win, they have built belief! Agree with your comments above and noticed how dirty Goodwin was in the press conference, could see he felt we blew it! Another day and same stats would result in a 10 goal win. Still we’ve lost games to Pies & Dogs in last few games we should have won! Up to Goodwin and coaching staff to make tweaks to get us back on track.
  7. Binman I know you are very keen on Jordan, but he is so slow kicking the ball forward, always gives other team time to get all players back. If he took first option in front of him, would be significantly more positive and enable us occasionally to get into forward half quickly!
  8. Collingwood player kicked it
  9. Rubbish. Kick straight and we win tonight. Have some faith!!
  10. I think Kossie kicked four in one of the finals last year!!
  11. We had 29 shots at goal - should lead to an over 100 point score. Lack of tackles in forward line is a big problem -leads to ball getting down the other end quickly!!
  12. Yep and the one he got in the 2nd came after Collingwood did fend off got caught in goalsquare, should have been holding the ball. instead ball up and Elliot got free - goal!
  13. In Harmes or JVR Out Melksham We kick straight and win, don’t throw out all the toys yet. Tackling in forward half needs to be more consistent week to week.
  14. Brayshaw said we when Pies kicked a goal at one point!
  15. We had our chances to be well in front, so only ourselves to blame. Pies played hard, with belief, some luck but 65 forward entries to 41 should be a five goal win
  16. Should have been six in front at half time Hard for Demons to get a free second half Pies probably got 6 or 7 goals from frees the last to Johnson unbelievably soft
  17. Demons just need to take a few of our opportunities and we will be okay!
  18. Pies riding their luck!!
  19. Pies some lucky goals demons should be 5-6 goals in front
  20. Pies very lucky
  21. Umpires doing their best for Pies
  22. Pies supporters Thinking! A gross exaggeration!!
  23. I’ve read a number of reviews and they all have said, Collingwood have all these strengths across the ground, blah blah blah, then every person whose written the article goes onto tip the Demons! It seems people trying to find reasons to tip the Pies, but don’t believe it! We don’t have a great record against the Pies but last years QB match Demons were as flat as pancakes, and this year Max injured, Turner went off and Petty was injured, we stopped to a walk and yet with 5 mins to go we’re only 8 points down, they kicked 3 in last 5 mins to make it 26 points. Looking forward to something good from the Demons and a solid win!
  24. Unfortunately the Cats are a well run club and coached team. Aside from lifestyle they do have a significant salary cap benefit at the top end: - Cameron instead of a million a year from GWS join us for $800k a year, crack at a flag and you can sell your $4M Sydney house and get something better for $2M overlooking the water! Multiple the above calculation by 5 players and Geelong have an extra $1M in their cap per annum! Allows them to have another two good players on their list! Also applies for salaries related to soft cap!
