  1. Well you can go ahead and take that up with Arthur Samuel who invented the term in 1959 (hot tip - he was a computer scientist, not a marketing guy). Got any more pearls of wisdom to share?
  2. Do you understand the term machine learning as a subset of artificial intelligence? I engineer systems of this nature for a living and what you just said makes absolutely zero sense.
  3. No, I don't, given the technology, legislation and insurance isn't where it needs to be for this application of machine learning yet, but thanks for thinking and speaking for me on a topic you probably do not understand yourself.
  4. Understand the training data would be bias in nature, but the output would consistent. If it were architected and engineered correctly it would do a better job.
  5. The obvious bias that we see in cases like this will remain a factor whilst humans are running the MRP. When machine learning (AI) eventually takes over and uses algorithms we will see consistency. Never trust a human to do a computers job. While weโ€™re at it, a 3rd party medical officer at each game to confirm diagnosis would be handy as well.
  6. We are pretty embarrassing tbh. I havenโ€™t seen a worse game of footy in recent memory
  7. If you look at the numbers, we are far more likely to win a game of footy than not with him on the park (even if his individual output is woeful). Until that changes, I see no reason to not select Lewis in our 22. The data is there, and we rarely win games when he isn't on the park.
  8. This is a far fetched scenario. I'm quite certain the medico's have cleared him, and Goody is simply saying that even though he has been cleared, that the decision ultimately rests with Jack. Nothing else to see here.
  9. I'm sure he is capable of learning from his mistakes. Just cause he brought himself back underdone last time doesn't mean it will certainly happen again. In the end, it is him who knows his body best, and you could even say that the last incident has made him even more acutely aware of his body, injuries and recovery timelines. It's still a strange comment though. I think it's probably being taken a face value a bit too much and I doubt the medicos have no say in it. Maybe the medico's have given him the all clear and it's Jack who is wondering whether he is ready or not?
  10. Why the f... are we still talking about this. Seriously.
  11. This part may difficult, given the MFC does not hold public office. Begs the question though, what would be our brand of politics? I can imagine a lot of contested work around the house of reps, although our execution in the writing of bills would obviously be to a poor standard.
  12. Here here
  13. Well said mr bin. You understand these concepts well.
  14. A sav Blanc from NZ. reasonably priced. Nothing to write a review about.
  15. Donโ€™t get me wrong, weโ€™ve clashed plenty of times before - But I enjoy your commentary mostly. But saying people get narky and personal is a low bow for the king of inferring people are morons or words to that effect. Troll on PD.
  16. Unaustralian, I know. Pretty sure I saw Tom Morris skulking around in the paddock near one of my thoroughbreds with a camera too. Rooโ€™s will probably say my heart just isnโ€™t it in on the next Episode of 360. Long week ahead for me.
  17. I took a sick day from work today and had a glass of wine with lunch. Go ahead, roast me demonland.
  18. People are actually outraged that he had a couple of sunday pints? You should be deported. Next headline: "Steve May to front the playing group over an incident over the weekend in which in engaged in sexual intercourse outside of the missionary position. Reports also seem to suggest he went two weeks without calling his mum. More to follow."
  19. It's not necessarily the result of the punch or slap in itself. A powerful slap can easily knock someone to the ground, and the damage in these cases is often caused by the impact of the head hitting the ground, and not the strike itself.
  20. Either way, your post is quite confusing. You've said he has a reasonable defence for the charges, but also stated he won't be charged at all. Provocation is a partial defence that will be considered by the courts with respect to sentencing, not by the police in determining whether a criminal offence has occurred.
  21. Smokey replied to RalphiusMaximus's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
No-one here seemed to have a problem with it last year when Clarry used it to great effect.
  22. Get what your saying, but it would appear there is too much separation between incidents for that to be relevant. Even with the Hawk's guy being the aggressor in this, the video clearly shows him walking in the other the direction and the Melbourne supporter catching up with him to punch him. Probably no chance of a self-defense argument in this context. Old mate deserved a punch in the head from all reports and I have little problem with it given the Melbourne bloke squared up to his face, gave him an opportunity to defend himself and didn't continue after the guy went down. That's about as civilized as a fight gets these days.
  23. Knocked a beer out of the blokes hands a copped a whack? Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
  24. Really excited to see Dec take his chance. I think he is a great prospect.
  25. Any hope I had for a win has vanished with this team selection. Really confusing stuff once again.
