Must bring in TMac to straighten us . There are sides that play 3 tall forwards and are doing quite well, we can at least have 2 ourselves there. TMac has to play this week. We need his streghth and experience.
-
Gutted less with the loss however the holding the ball rule has affected the game and bamboozled the supporters and the guessing of the umpiring decisions to that rule. We will live to fight another day which is Thursday against Port. We will be right this time.

This will be a set back for Collingwood This game and huge loss in the short quarters will harm them the same as it did to Melbourne in the prelim of 2018. It is so devastating to the club and their supporters it has finally caught up with the injuries and suspensions. 68 POINTS UP WITH EIGHT MINS TO GO DEVASTATION SHATTERED THE POINT OF NO RETURN. They are ( CENSORED. ) with 5 mins to go.

What they're saying down at Stanley Street
nosoupforme replied to Queanbeyan Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Talent for talent in the middle we will deliver. Max will lead by example and the rest will follow. The confidence is Building. -
It will keep TMac on his toes that's for sure. However he might have needed to miss because of his injury no doubt. IMO he is in our best 22.
-
That seems the obvious with Brayshaw to move into the half back flank and Harmes on Neale Last time against us he had a lazy 38 possessions and he ripped into us after half time. Good call. Petracca and Oliver could do some damage and cannot wait to see the match ups in the middle. Inform Gawn is on top of his game. You are right Binman the midfield is the key.

Current Team Potentially Best in 50 Years
nosoupforme replied to Dees2014's topic in Melbourne Demons
I like to think that you are right D 2014 however unfortunately our club is like ........that you can fall in love with it so quickly and see the love through the other side and on top of the world, then before you know it at the blink of an eye the habits are back and haunting you. There is waiting and seeing yet to come this year. -
Aaron vandenBerg to miss 2 weeks [CONFIRMED]
nosoupforme replied to goodwindees's topic in Melbourne Demons
Vanders is important, the more games he plays the better he gets. Tough as they get this boy! Love him in the side. The boys don't have to look over their shoulder when Vanders is close to help and support. -
l believe that the combination of Clarry and Petracca in the middle compliment each other. Clarry has plenty of upside and will improve with every game he plays . His skills are sometimes scratchy however is effective and reads the play well. In 2018 he was on top of his game he was demanding the ball and chasing hard like Petrac is at the minute. With Gawn, Viney starting to put it together l am confident the wheel has turned.

Good catch DW However the years are part of what l gave because l was looking for that 3 in succession . Round 6 of 19 to 64 to round 18 of 1968 7 in Succession. Check just in case l missed another between 64 - 68.
-
We haven't beaten Hawthorn more than 3 times in succession in home and away plus finals since round 8 of 1967 to round 18 of 1968 . 52 YEARS ? WOW ! That is quite a while ago. I traced it back because l couldn't remember having the wood on them.since the early 60s.

Watching the game noticing Bolton saying something to Clarkson in the coaches box, Clarko looks despondent looking away. What could he have said to him?. My Version........ Bolton says, It doesn't look good Boss, I remember that censored club lost me my job. If l were you, I would be resigning asap before you get the sack.

We had to have a gun like Petracca he is a super player and rightly so that we picked him thanks to St Kilda picking McCartin. . Starting to become a match winner.
-
GAWN the match winner Petrac another match winner Oliver Yet another star Weid Form of 2018 Fritta finally coming good Oscar you belong here Hibberd proving doubters wrong Picket coming along well Bennell clean and cool Hannan will get better Jackson is our future Langdon great pick up REST OF TEAM all played part.
-
Weid has captured some 2018 year form. Jackson has the goods and is going to be a fine player for us.
-
PE -TRACTOR THE BULLDOZER !!!!!!! AWESOME BREAKOUT GAME ..... AA YEAR. OLIVER PETRACCA, VINEY they are piping hot. Gawn is on another level Maybe another Planet! LOVE YOU DEES.

Well said this is one time l have to agree with you rjay. You make a point with J Smith....Little boy lost...... You can kick your 4 goals playing a practice game and look good because the pressure is not as intense as they are mainly experimenting. It is a clayton's match so to speak. He has been given his opportunity many times however he does not cut it. He is definitely out of his depth. How many opportunities can you give a guy? IMO don't be surprised to see him delisted in the very near future.

Racial Vilification of Harley Bennell
nosoupforme replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
No place for Racism and Trolls. People with these ideas are the lowest SC- - S on earth. Harley the good care. -
Oops I miscued on Oscar's total of games he's played. Has only played 74 games and not 96 my apologies for the mistake.
-
Oscar has been through the ringer and now he has come out clean. Football is also a confidence game and you have to have a bit of an ego. Amazingly he has upside and the mature years in front of him at 24.yo. Oscar will play with a bit of luck in his 100th game this year as he sits on 96 right now. It will be an achievement for him and the many fans who support him. Looking forward to that day.

I cannot explain people's functioning of their brain PF let alone Goody's. Maybe he wanted the Weid to earn his place in the side or needed him to suffer more ....... Could have played Brown instead in earlier games. However he decided on medium size bodies and failed miserably. I was just as frustrated so were many others l bet. Maybe Goody can see the light now.
-
It is not Rocket science that we need two tall forwards as focal points and one of them to crash the pack for the crumbers every now and again. The Weid IMO is crucial and now must be paired with another tall, may it be Brown Tmac or Petty when fit. He had a good game without TMac and held his own. Needs a partner in crime. I hope Goody plays him and gives him time to perform.
-
TMac injured in the first quarter and off for the rest of the game neeed the Weid stand up and make a presence when it counted. We looked good with 2 talls up forward. That will give him confidence. Clarry's pass to Petrac at a pivotal time just shows how super classy he can be. Petracs goal from 50 sailed over the goal umpire's head which was the sealer. Bennell's goal after the siren and all the players celebrating his first goal WOW! They were good moments. Lets hope we have turned the corner and produce some much better football going forward.
-
Omac played well enough which also helped Lever play better and concentrate on his intercepts. Lever held his own. WEID straightened us up kicked 2 goals and took 2 contested marks one which resulted in a goal. Missed Tmac as he was starting to show some form and IMO it was because of another tall that was showing his presence. The weid. Took the pressure off Tmac. Hope his injury is not too serious.
-
OMAC well done.Held your own well. Weid it was good to have a focal point did his job. Hannan composed and clean. Vandeberg that's how you play crash and bash fantastic game smart as they come. Viney delivers and shoots down his critic now to back it up. Great win worked hard but a win is a win that is going to give us confidence. He looks really good does Bennell. and deserves the last goal of the match. Love the way they got around him. Love the Dees! What can l say. Will make my week better.
