iN Hibberd , Vanders, WIED and Kossi Out jETTA needs to regroup must be carrying an injury or he is out of soughts. Definitely the latter. Hibberd takes his place. Cannot carry SMITH anymore he is a burden. Has Goodwin learnt his lesson? Weid deserves a go who does he replace. I don't think it is Tmac. I don't think Brown will play. Kossi plays so says Goodwin. Does he replace ANB? 4 changes. What do you think LN?

Petracca hasn't quite got the credentials as the other 3 you mentioned however he certainly has the ability to match them no doubt. I was just pointing out that he reminds me of a Dusty type that can virtually turn into a match winner. The kind of players that can help win a Premiership. Let alone a brownlow.
-
The more games we win the more Brownlow votes Petracca will receive such will be his influence. Just wants to rip games apart.. Has so much power that he can rip the ball out of the oppositions hands. Reminds me of the way Dusty plays but with a bit more polish. Hoping that he can finally go on with it and turn into our match winner. We need something of his type to ignite us this season and beyond.

I think we have been playing Mr Nice Guy's for too long and time is right to find their mean streak when crossing the white line. AVB is one we certainly miss. Hoping he is a chance to help lead by example.
-
I agree with the Weid he deserves a go. We just needed a presence to help up forward. I would expect a quick in Kossi to come in and of all reports Vanders did well and is what we need a strong hard nosed bull. I am not sorry to see OMac come in to replace J Smith who just does not cut it. I would have liked to see Petty instead of Omac however l am not sure if he is ready for a return. 4 changes for me LN.

Petracca Best on ground Gawn busts his guts Rivers classy and composed Fritsch missed easy goals Melksham Not good today Smith Doesn't cut it. May A poor game Lever HELLO YOU THERE ? Bennell Will be better Jackson Has good future Hunt Can kick goals TMAC in deep sleep Langdon has much talent Tomlinson a good pick Oliver consistent all day Harmes out of position Jones not his day Salem tried very hard Brayshaw must go hard ABN Started well THEN ? Jetta Lost his MOJO.
-
Brayshaw's game was better than half of the team that played in the same match yesterday. It was a fair game and there is nothing to be concerned with. I am sure he isn't too far away of producing good consistent footy. Your concern shouldn't be Gus it should be the whole team that isn't gelling well at the minute. Goody and co has to find a way. I think that all us supporters are feeling the pressures of the team that isn't at their best.

Need a tall backman that can hold his own, must be on our list to play the next game to replace J Smith. Has to have some sought of experience and would have played some good games in his career. Has to be able to man up and take a timely mark and not a mark of a century type one. MOST IMPORTANTLY not knock out some of your team mates when competing for the ball. Must be able to read the game linking and not letting your man free to do as he likes. Don't reply if it does not fit your description. One change in. OMAC

No I am bamboozled, to think that Smith is good enough to hold a spot in the side. Many have talked him up and l will talk him down. Not good enough he is a shocker. Makes mistakes dumb as they come. Never really earned his place in the side start with. Where are all his so called good games that he has played over the years. What does Goody see in him.
-
Joel Smith he won us the game what a great be player better than Oscar .......................I have come to my senses. Joel Smith PLEASEEEEEEE go back to Basketball because you have no clue.. ............And the the one's that rate him you are only stirring that he can play. I GET YOU NOW. You only sucked in yourselves. WON'T PLAY NEXT WEEK I AM CONFIDENT OF THAT OR ANY OTHER WEEK. I AM HOPING. So help me G d. I don't need to elaborate if you watched the game.
-
I got it from the grape vine that we are going to make at least 7 changes from the last game. What do you think LN.
-
Two new debutants in Jackson Rivers and a possible Harley Bennell. That leaves Jones and Salem and others like the Weed and Vanders to be included i guess. We cannot fit them all in the side. There will be an extended bench when they announce the team. That also means that probably a debutant might miss the cut in the end. That is just an assumption. I expect that Lockhart and Oscar to be picked after performing well in round 1. In any case l would be expecting a solid win which will give us the kick start to a great season.
-
Everyone has an opinion on Goody and after the round 1 loss to the Eagles he would have been feeling for his head. However if we win the next 4 games or most of them the mood will be different. We are like the stock market of the times which is up and down with volatility at it's best. I will still support and ride the good with the bad i will show faith and hope that this week is the start of good things to come for our great club. To beat Carlton would be a good start.

Why don't they play Spargo in the Back Pocket they won't be able to see him.

Christian Petracca looks finely tuned and IMO he is looking likely to finally deliver the goods. One of his skills is his mindset that l believe has let him down over the time. Part of the trouble is attitude and that brings it to shaving off the 10 percent of arrogance that was carried in his brain in that time. Now l think he can see the light.

The only thing we can do is Max feeding our Mids and the rest will take care of itself . Keeping that part short. Smith is definitely not the person to go one on one with Cripps. I am not a fan of his and find it amusing how he keeps being mentioned as a possible start up . When in his 11 games has he contributed to the side? I can go on. Please Joel prove me wrong and l would be the first to and happy to apologies to you. He is no where near in our best 22 at the minute and there would be many others who agree.
-
OMac was one of our better players against the WCE. However unless he is carrying some sought of injury I would expect him to line up against the Blues in round 2.
-
Never happy fickle Dee supporters I sometimes wonder. Goody is the person to turn it around IMO and there are enough of us to show the faith. The rest of you can all please yourselves.
-
Not bad for a player of Jackson's size to come in and is able to play in a number of positions as mentioned. I am sure he is in contention. It won't be a shock if he is picked.
-
Max Gawn has the respect of his peers at the club and that is why he is our captain. He leads by example by giving his all. Hutchy will regret the words he used about us struggling and I assume that will stir the boys a bit as well. Thanks for your kind words Hutchy.

The Weed has to be picked to play as he was hard done by the selectors in the 1st round. The preseason game played in the ruck and held his own with close to 20 touches . A very useful game it was. Remember that at the time we had injuries to Gawn and Preuss . He deserves a chance to prove himself early in the season and should have been given first crack as a key forward in round 1..
-
Why are we favourites for the spoon? ARE WE TANKING. ? If not then l expect to be in it for a long way with happy days ahead. There is plenty of upside and we need to have faith lets just hang in there and just maybe they see the light.

Barassi left and broke my heart and it was the start of our decline from there on . END OF STORY. It hurts.

Garry Lyon was a champion and could influence a match and was also a great kick for goals. IMO he was almost the perfect player to have in your side. Is rated high and deserves to be. David Neitz was very influential and when he was on song he was so consistent for long periods. Neitz and Lyon played in similar positions from CHB to CHF to being an important targets at Full Forward. IMO Lyon was more agile however Neitz was a War horse that would lead you into battle and almost always had an influence in the eventual outcome of our games. David Neitz for me. David did it all bar win a Premiership for our great club. He almost had that perfect career you could dream of..
