I remember running out onto the" G" in a reserves match against Collingwood after the game in 1969 chasing autographs and came across no. 4 Tony Sullivan who gave me his signature and felt chuffed about it. Petracca will finish in the top 3 in the B&F with his breakout year and a possible AA. We will finish in the top 2 as we set ourselves up for an assault at the Premiership. You have to believe.

No disrespect to your comments he is no so called Poosy Cat and he certainly can play. However he will mature into a fine player as he has time on his side there is no doubt. Sometimes it is good to learn on someone. He is still a kid.

Champion Data so called have the Eagles ranked at no. 11 and with a Premiership to boot. However they now strengthen their team with Gaff. Collingwood no 5 with the Data add Beams and Elliott if fit and so on. IMO the hardest sides to beat. Richmond ,Essendon and ,Hawthorn no 3, 4 and 9 ranked side look quite strong. Interesting times in 2019. In the meantime the Dees are the no 1 ranked side. l will take that and hope we defend it resolutely. The inclusions of May and Lever, ,barring any major injuries will help the cause.

Corey Wagner is a very good inclusion to our list as IMO is better than an average player and that is what we need . Adding players that can make the grade and make us a better team with very good depth. The Roos delisted him in 2017 which was a surprise delisting.

There is a time and place for everything and l believe it is not the time to be making any changes to the format or standing down a captain. In this case it would be Jones who in the bad and gloomy times he stood out and led from the front and became our loyal Melbourne champion. ,He stayed to make us better when he could have left us for a better club with a chance to play finals at his peak. One Captain one VC and one DVC what is wrong with that format? . For now the two are good for each other and while Jonesy can hold his own l wouldn't tamper with it. They both deserve to hold that Premiership most of all Nathan Jones.

I can see the potential and speculation that it creates for this season and beyond. However l see that Goody is well respected and in control of his own destiny and will one day eventually move on like all coaches do one way or another. For now l think he is well focused for a tilt at the Premiership and won't be going any day soon.

I don't see a concern for him leaving the club and the team that he has put together over the last 2 years or being lured to another club. Goody would have loose screws in his head to even think of that. He is too devoted to his boys and the cause. There is some unfinished business that is awaiting. I have faith that he is in for the long haul.

I loved having Jesse at the club and am sad to see him go because you never want to lose one of your most players and a good guy. Aaron Vandenberg is built for finals football. He hits, you stay hit he breathes down your neck and tackles hard. He comes at you with great intensity. What l love most is his loyalty to the club and for that l give him great credit and more respect . Rapt your still with us Vanders.

Christian is traveling well although we believe he should be doing better as he is still learning his craft. He will find that spark and all will come together with him . A player that can get out of traffic and set someone up and on the run or off 3 steps kicks the ball like a Mule and hits targets with ease is a valuable commodity. If there is query with his game it is his set shots at goal and lacking a touch of fitness. Petrac is already a star however he can do alot better he just needs a breakout game just to break it open.

Next who ever signs a contract say 4 years the Player should request a back end contract. After the first year plead insanity or family issues and ask for a trade to your club of choice start all over again what a scam. It is amazing to have such an accomplished young man an elite in the game he plays. When he gets the ball you excpect him to do something special. He is the future of our great club.

Billy was dropped earlier in the year as he just couldn't get going for some reason or another or seemed disinterested as l saw it through my eyes. I remember him playing some very good games against Geelong at the cattery and Hawthorn at the G which we beat both of them as Billy's future looked bright at the time. Going back to Casey did him good as he started to find his feet and enjoy his footy where he played several outstanding games with continuity mainly on the ball and was pivotal for them as Casey went on a winning streak of 12 games with Billy being involved in 7 or 8 of those games. Came back into the Melbourne side against Fremantle and played an excellent game tackling hard and being involved linking up well and he belonged. Unfortunately he had a fractured small toe and was ruled out for the rest of the season. The kid has talent and is only 22 and with a good preseason behind him l believe will be pushing for selection in round 1 2019.

Vanders is tough as and when he tackles you stay hit as we saw when he came back from injury. More so when playing in the finals he went to another level. Vaders came back physically built like a bull and looked amazing , much bigger l thought . His first 2 finals games was so solid it looked like he was built for finals. We need him and looks a vital player to have in the side.Can play mid and forward is precise with his kicking is big bodied and tackles hard. A second tier just under the elite. Hard to find. Unfortunately is looking to go home. I hope he stays l am hoping.

What is there to say about Frosty? Disappointed when he wasn't picked ahead of others and when he finally got his chance he held on to it and played consistent footy. His asset is his tearaway pace and his consistency to take on the game. Played in 3 finals and held his own which is valuable experience. Well done Frosty a good stepping stone to your playing future.
